𝗜 𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗔 𝗚𝗢 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘 ✦ 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 [OLD]
𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲
"A-Ayumu, hold on a second now, that's way too big!" y/n cried, e/c eyes wide.
"What? Sure, it's a little thicker and probably larger than what you're used to but I think you could handle it. Maybe." Ayumu replied, pouting a little, "Quit being a crybaby, it won't be that bad."
"Seriously, you'll hurt me with that thing!"
"Not if you stay calm it won't!"
"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO STAY CALM IF THAT THING LOOKS LIKE IT COULD SPLIT ME IN TWO, HUH??? IT'S LIKE TWICE MY SIZE!" y/n demanded.
"Hey! It's not an it! And stop being overdramatic, y/n, it's not twice your size."
"You just called it an it, idiot!"
Y/n was clinging to a tree branch, eyes fixated on the ridiculously big blade her best friend was holding.
The pink haired boy, however, just looked confused as he held his new favorite thing.
Ayumu, using some of his savings, had bought a claymore so him and y/n could train together a little bit. Since Ayumu was curious about y/n's new capabilities with her Vision, he decided to test her a little.
"All you have to do is get a little creative and you won't get hurt!" Ayumu chimed.
"Hrm... promise?"
"Promise!"
Y/n looked uncertain but clambered down from her safe spot in the tree.
She picked up her blade which she'd discarded and gave Ayumu a sheepish smile, "Alright, let's try it out."
"Yes!" Ayumu cheered, "Haha! I'm so happy I could just kiss you right now!"
"Really?" Y/n questioned.
Ayumu blinked before his face turned almost as pink as his hair. He laughed awkwardly with a, "No way, that'd be weird! Since we're friends and all! Ahaha..."
"Oh..."
"I mean, I'd kiss you if you wanted me to..." Ayumu mumbled, earning a puzzled look from y/n.
"What was that?"
"NOTHING."
As Ayumu hurriedly tried to figure out how holding a claymore worked, y/n smiled a little, holding back giggles.
She'd heard him loud and clear.

Going against her instincts wasn't something y/n did too often. But this time was different.
Every nerve in her body was telling her to go back to her house and cry herself to sleep yet she was running to the Golden House so she could check to make sure that everything was alright.
"Suzu! Did you see anything out of the ordinary? Aside from a lack of guards?" y/n called, looking up at the raven.
"Well, I did see a strange guy. He had ginger hair." Suzu replied and y/n huffed.
"Suddenly everything makes even more sense." y/n sighed, running faster, "I knew that stupid Harbinger was up to something all along! I'm such an idiot...!"
"Oh yeah, there was a blond and a little fairy creature heading in the direction of the Golden House when I went to find you." the raven added.
"Aether and Paimon!" y/n exclaimed then deadpanned, "Those idiots are going to get killed, I swear-"
"All the more reason to hurry."
"I KNOW, DON'T RUSH ME!!! ;-;"
Y/n skidded to a stop outside the Golden House just as Paimon and were about to enter, "STOP RIGHT THERE-"
Aether looked back at her in alarm but relaxed when he realized it was just y/n.
"Let me come with you!" y/n demanded.
Paimon shrugged, "Okay, sure."
"So you know?" Aether asked y/n.
"Well, I know that the Golden House is supposed to be guarded and there's nobody here except for us." y/n pointed out, "So I don't know but I'm worried."
"Aww... y/n was worried about us!" Paimon exclaimed and y/n frowned.
"No." she said simply, "Come on now, we have a ginger to beat up."
"A ginger?" Paimon echoed.
"Oh, Childe?" Aether questioned then grinned, "I'm going to enjoy this."
Suzu was chilling nearby as they were entering the Golden House.
"...wait, they're going to beat up a child?"
Upon first entering the Golden House, y/n immediately noticed something was wrong.
"Woah! Look at all the mora!" Paimon gasped, eyes sparkling, "There's so much! I bet we could steal a few pieces and nobody would know!"
Y/n looked back at the pixie, "Hm?"
"Oh-" Paimon wheezed, "Nevermind!"
"Look, it's the guards!" Aether pointed out and y/n almost fainted when she spotted a bunch of Millelith laying on the ground. They were out cold.
"Oh no no no-" y/n was already hurrying to the Exuvia while Paimon and Aether were trying to figure out if the guards were dead.
She let out a breath of relief when she saw that the Exuvia was safe. However, she didn't relax or let her guard down.
"Huh, nothing seems to be wrong with the Exuvia." Paimon hummed as the pixie and Aether joined y/n.
"Then what happened to the guards?" Aether questioned, a little confused.
Y/n turned around, her expression grim, "I mean, it's obvious. The damn Harbinger lurking over there attacked them."
"Huh!?" Paimon and Aether demanded, whipping around to see what y/n was looking at.
Laughter echoed throughout the Golden House as the ginger Harbinger himself walked up the stairs towards trio, having been out of sight a few moments ago.
"You're quite sharp, y/n! And here I was thinking you didn't hear me!" Childe exclaimed as y/n rolled her eyes.
"Why are you here?" y/n demanded.
"I could ask those two beside you the same thing! They've already fulfilled their purpose as guides after all!" Childe chirped and y/n froze.
She glanced at Aether with an almost betrayed expression, "You guys are on his side?"
"No we're not!" Paimon protested, "We're just as confused as you are!"
"Actually, I think I know what he's taking about." Aether spoke up.
"I'm listening." y/n sighed.
The blond pointed at Paimon, "Paimon doesn't know how to keep her mouth shut."
"Hey! >:("
'Now isn't the time for this...!' y/n thought as the two began to bicker.
She looked back a Childe with a impatient expression and realize he looked almost as bored as she did.
"Should we fight now?" y/n asked him, drawing her blade. It'd been a long time since she'd actually used it against another person but for some reason, she didn't feel nervous at all.
'Probably because he has a hydro vision and not a pyro vision.' y/n thought, 'The worst he could do is drown me.'
Childe's eyes visibly lit up when she asked the question, "I thought you'd never ask!"
