'Don't break down. Don't break down. Don't break down. Don't break down.'
Those three words repeated over and over again in y/n's mind as she headed towards Qingce Village, planning on crying herself to sleep.
She thought about how Suzu mentioned Kaori being sad. Completely understandable if your brother was taken away and you have no clue as to whether he's alive or not.
Kaori was a Shrine Maiden now, huh?
Y/n frowned, 'So Gramps must be living alone again... I hope he's alright.'
Maybe she never should've left. Maybe she should've stayed in Inazuma and just turned in her Vision. Things would've been better that way.
Kaori wouldn't have to suffer through the loss of her brother alone. Gramps wouldn't live by himself without knowing the whereabouts of both his successors.
Maybe Ayumu never would've been caught if he had y/n there helping him make better choices. Sure, he was the older one but he wasn't exactly the mature one.
'Is a Vision really worth all this?' y/n wondered.
No. It wasn't.
She would much rather have her Vision taken away than to live knowing that her loved ones were suffering.
Y/n stopped walking, hearing another pair of footsteps. She glanced behind her and her eyes brightened when she spotted Ganyu, simply taking a stroll to see the flowers and totally not following y/n.
"Ganyu! :o" y/n exclaimed and waved.
The young woman jumped, surprised by y/n's sudden change in demeanor. Just a moment ago, she'd seemed really sad.
Ganyu smiled awkwardly, "Hello, y/n."
Y/n waited for her friend to catch up before chirping, "It's nice to see you!"
'She's still upset. I almost didn't notice for a moment.' Ganyu thought before replying, "It's nice to see you too, y/n? Are you also out on a stroll?"
"Haha, no, I was actually heading home." y/n laughed, "I decided to go through Dihua Marsh today and I'm glad I did!"
"Why is that?"
"I ran into you, of course!"
Ganyu blushed a little, "O-Oh, well, I'm glad I ran into you too. Would you like me to walk you to your house?"
"Yes please! Would you like to stay for dinner too?" y/n offered, "It's nice to have company over."
'Dinner? Together?' Ganyu wondered.
The thought of being in a room alone with y/n made the emissary's heart beat faster and heat rush to her cheeks.
But dinner?
Oh 🚚 yeah.
"I would love too!" Ganyu exclaimed.
"I was gonna try to use some recipes I learned back at home but I know you're a vegetarian so I'll improvise a little!"
"Thank you, y/n. ^^"
"Of course!"

The duo made their way through Dihua Marsh together, chatting about whatever as they made their way towards Qingce Village.
Y/n was feeling a little better, that painful feeling in her chest having disappeared.
"And there's a cute little shiba inu named Taroumaru that owns the tea house." y/n was saying when she heard the sounds of a fight nearby, "Ah... hold on a second..."
Ganyu gave y/n a curious look as she paused, brows furrowed slightly.
"Oh, you heard it too?" Ganyu asked y/n who nodded twice, "Should we go see what's going on?"
"I guess so..." y/n murmured, a little reluctant but followed Ganyu towards the source of the noise.
'Damn it.' y/n thought when she spotted Zhongli, Paimon and Aether.
Y/n really couldn't escape the two idiots.
They were talking about Glaze Lillies or something and- oh look Ganyu was speaking now.
"Excuse me... are you searching for Glaze Lilies?" Ganyu asked as y/n tried to search for some way to escape.
"Oh, hey!" Paimon exclaimed then hesitated, "Uhm... what's her name again?"
"Greetings, Ganyu." Aether greeted.
"Look! Y/n's here too!" Paimon pointed out as y/n was creeping away.
She gave the pixie a death glare before wandering back to Ganyu's side with an ice cold, "Hi."
'She hates us.' Aether thought warily.
Meh, not really.
"I'm surprised you remember my name, haha. How was your visit to the Jade Chamber?" Ganyu asked.
"It was nice but it would've been better if you'd told us how to get up there!" Paimon said sassily.
"Didn't I tell you the way!? Surely I did-"
"Nope, we found the way on our own!" Paimon declared, clearly proud.
"Guess it was our fault for not asking." Aether chimed in with a little shrug.
"Oh, I see..." Ganyu murmured, 'I guess I really did forget to tell them...'
"Huh, something seems a little off about Ganyu..." Paimon spoke up, "She's acting different from the first time we met."
"Ah, well, I met you at that time as an emissary of the Tianquan." Ganyu explained, "But now, I am simply out escorting y/n back to her home."
"You guys are looking for Glaze Lilies, right?" y/n asked, "I think Ganyu may know where to find some."
"Y-Yeah, I do. I actually picked some earlier." Ganyu agreed before offering the Glaze Lilies to Aether, "You can have them."
"Really? Thank you, Ganyu!" Aether exclaimed, accepting the flowers.
A shiver went down his back when he realized y/n was glaring at him, pure rage radiating off of her in waves.
'You've got some damn nerve saying Ganyu's name so casually.' Y/n thought, glaring at Aether only to revert back to her sweet smile when Ganyu glanced at her.
"We'll be going now." Ganyu announced, "Farewell for now."
"Bye-bye Ganyu! Bye y/n!" Paimon chimed.
"Bye Zhongli!" y/n exclaimed, completely ignoring Paimon and Aether.
She took Ganyu's hand in hers, wandering away with a pleased smile while the emissary blushed uncontrollably.

Dinner with Ganyu was pleasant.
The two simps chatted while eating and y/n was feeling wonderful, Ganyu having loved her cooking.
After a while, it was time for Ganyu to leave cause it'd be pretty strange for her to stay over night AHEM.
"See you tomorrow, Ganyu!" y/n shouted, waving to her co-worker.
"See you soon!" Ganyu called, smiling.
'Y/n is a really nice person. I should do something for her sometime.' Ganyu thought to herself, face warm.
Y/n, on the other hand...
She was currently trying to make herself as small as possible in the corner of her house, eyes wide.
A distance away sat the lizard.
It tilted its head at her, confused as to why she seemed to afraid of it.
"..."
"..."
"Can you talk?"
"..."
"...guess not."
Y/n cautiously stood up and wandered closer to the lizard, crouching in front of it.
"I know who you are." she said quietly and the lizard visibly grew tense, "But, erm, I'm grateful. Thank you for making me feel at home here in Liyue."
The lizard blinked, "?"
The h/c haired girl smiled warmly, reaching out and gently patting the lizard, "I really, really appreciate it."
The lizard made that tiny growly noise of delight, rubbing its face against y/n's hand.
"But... Rex Lapis, sir? Aren't you supposed to be dead or something?"
The lizard paused and y/n giggled when it made a quiet whining noise, looking away.
"You don't have to answer." she chuckled, "Hm... you're not so scary. You're pretty chill for an Archon. Can't say the same about the one who rules over the land I come from."
The lizard nudged y/n's hand again and she continued giving it pats.
"Y/N!"
"HOLY SHHHHIII-" y/n looked towards the window in alarm and spotted Suzu, "DONT SCARE ME LIKE THAT YOU DAMN BIRD!"
"Apologies. Look, I haven't been here for long but I'm pretty sure that Golden House place shouldn't be left unguarded-" Suzu said quickly.
Y/n deadpanned, "THE WHAT."
"I said the Golden House is-"
"I know what you said!" y/n snapped, waving a hand at the bird before patting the lizard once more, "M'kay, I've gotta go now. Bye-bye for now."
As y/n sprinted away from her house, Suzu glanced at the lizard that decided to chill in front of the door.
Was it seriously going to wait for her?
'Strange lizard.' Suzu thought before flying after y/n, not wanting to miss the drama that was about to come next.
(It is time)
