"Alright! Everyone sit down." Aizawa said, turning around with the usual two boxes of names. "Students on the first two rows."

Everyone complied. Buzzing with anticipation, training was about to begin.
This was a time to show off, to show their parents how far they've come. How strong they were.

Kira glanced over at her uncle. Unlike many students she didn't feel the need to impress him anymore.

Sure there was a time not too long ago she would have done anything to see the look on his face when she did something amazing. When she was a kid she often made believe, where she'd beat up a bunch of villains that even he couldn't defeat. Where he'd be on his knees and praise her. Tell her he was wrong and she was amazing. That he wanted to give her one for all so she could be a hero too.

But she wasn't twelve anymore.

And one for all had a user. He wasn't a pro and he already knew she was...

Well not weak. Her uncle didn't expect more than intelligence from his niece. He now knew she was smart and crafty. He didn't expect her to be a fighter.

But he was still sickeningly supportive.

He gave her a smile and a thumbs up when he caught her glance. She looked away quickly, though that made him immediately think that she hated him and he was still an awful uncle.

Kira didn't know what to do with the guy. Honestly. She felt bad for him and also felt bad for herself, At the same time. It was annoying.

"This training exercise is a relatively simple one. A Two on two battle." Aizawa said. "All teams will be created at random, pulled from these boxes in just a few moments. The objective is simple."

Aizawa pulled something out of his pocket. It was a thin golden looking piece of fabric, the size of a bandana.

"Someone, in the cityscape will be this flag." He held it up, then clicked a screen. A diagram appeared. "Each team has a goal at their starting point. The first team to take the flag and bring it back to their starting point wins the match. If the match isn't done within thirty minutes all teams lose completely."

"So if I grab the flag but someone else takes it I still have a shot at redemption? Unlike the first time when someone just touched the bomb they won..."

"So like capture the flag... But there's only one?"

"I can't lose! Not with my father and brother watching!"

"Ooh! Sounds fun!"

"God I hate this pressure."

"The point of this is the flag." Aizawa restated. "NOT to beat each other up. Though I'm sure it will happen I don't think it would be wise to use all your time that way."

"Not that I expect any of these kids to act wisely..."

"Awh, I can't wait to see my son in action! I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures!"

"Sounds like what we used to do when I went here... These things actually do help in real life. It's kinda weird being back here now."

"He's so much better at teaching than I am... Isn't he?"

"This sounds dangerous...."

"Now I just want to remind the parents." Aizawa said, putting the flag down.
"These things can get scary. And dangerous. But these students are pursuing a profession that is extremely perilous. I'm preparing then for this is a controlled environment. So be ready for fighting and extreme combat. I promise you these kids can take it, if anything gets too out of hand we'll have Midnight and Cementos posted nearby along with recovery girl. Just like the sports festival except a little farther off. To intervene at my word."

He held up a walkie-talkie and clicked a button to make cameras flicker on. Showing the two other pros sitting on a building with binoculars, looking around like there were already kids out there.

"So please... Please don't scream or cry for your 'precious' babies." Aizawa thought with annoyance.

"Does everyone understand?" Aizawa asked.

"Yes sir!" The students said, the parents gave scattered responses.

"Any questions?" The teacher asked. Midoriya's hand went up.

"Um... Will we be using capture tape? Or any other method of restraint?" He asked. It was actually a pretty good question.

"No, not this time. As I said this isn't about defeating your opponents. This is about completing a different objective." Aizawa answered with a shake of his head. "Is that all?"

"Please stand when you hear your name."
There were no more questions. So he moved on. He reached into the boxes. "Team one." He said, looking at the names.
"Froppy and ChargeBolt"

Kira had forgotten they were using hero names now.

Aizawa looked at Denki and Tsu when they stood up. Tsu looked as stoically confident as ever and Denki looked. Well a little nervous.

His mom not so subtly snapping pictures didn't help either.

Aizawa then offered to let Tsu's little sister pull a name from the box, and Denki's. Revealing their opponents.

"Red... R-riot?" Zuzu said, her mom had whispered the words in her ear when she began struggling.

"Pinky!" Tsu little sister chirped happily. The girl was the only member of the family Kira could easily read. Not that she got much, kids were always nonsensical.

Mina and Kirishima stood up. Both with big smiles on their faces.

Aizawa reached in again. Ready to reveal the next pair of teams to fight. "Oh yeah... Neither submitted hero names." He thought. Looking at the slips of paper.

"Tenya and Shoto."
He stated. Iida and the other boy looked at eachother and stood up.

A pretty strong duo. Both raised by pros having trained for almost their whole lifes. With quirks passed down with this purpose.

Kira was glad that Iida had gotten the chance to discuss his worry about taking on the family hero name before this. Otherwise this would have been quite embarrassing.

But Kira could hear that both his father and brother thought his hesitations were unnecessary. If only her knew that they didn't care as much about him perfectly fulfilling their legacy as he seemed to believe.

"Would you like to do the honors?" Aizawa asked.

"Oh me?" Fuyumi asked, tilting her head. "Sure um..." She reached in and pulled out a name. Frowing at it for just a moment.

"Deku?" She asked.
"Isn't that a name for useless or something? Maybe I read it wrong?"

Midoriya stood up. Slightly nervous but cautiously optimistic as Tensei reached into the box.

"PLEASE BE KACCHAN. PLEASE BE KACCHAN!!! Come On He's The Only One Here I'd Even Have A Strong Chance Of Winning With!!! Against TODOROKI! I NEEEED HIMMMMM."

Midoriya begged as the early retired pro stuck his arm inside.

But fate wasn't on his side, or Kira's for that matter.

"Athena."

Tensei read from the paper.
"Huh, like the Greek goddess. I wonder who it is? A girl?"

Kira smiled and stood up from her seat. So this wasn't great. She was up against Iida and Todoroki. With Midoriya.

A boy who didn't quite like her.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

"It's her... Iida's old friend... I don't think this is that great for her. I mean all these boys have strong quirks. I don't know what hers is but... I mean maybe I shouldn't discount her based on looks but... Well..."

"Huh... I wonder what happened to her leg?"

"Oh they might be toast. But like... Anyone that fights Todoroki is toast... Oh haha, cus fire. I'm funny."

"This will be interesting, ribbit."

"Well there's most of the powerful people... Thank God. Maybe I'll get someone my level... Or maybe I'll end up against Bakugou..."

"Oh it's Kira!!! I can't wait! I've never seen her fight! Ooh I wonder if she's good. Her and Katsuki would make such a cool power couple."

"Go girl!"

"Deku and Kira... Not that fucking great. But I wouldn't be surprised if they work well despite their issues... Wow all their issues are kinda my fault now that I'm thinking about it... Huh. Good luck I guess." Katsuki's thoughts were very unhelpful. Just like everyone else's.

"We'll start now, pick the next two rounds after these are done." Aizawa decided. He reached for his walkie-talkie. "Ready for set up." He said to midnight on the other line.

He shut off the screen so they couldn't see where they were going to hide the cloth.

"Team one You have five minutes to strategize." He glanced over at Kira.
"Come see me in the hall."

"Sup teach." Kira said when she walked out. Just a few moments after him.

"You know what I'm going to say." He stated. Not trying to hide his thoughts.

"Do your best, blah blah blah." Kira said with an eyeroll. "I was gonna anyways."
She lied.

"No you weren't." He scoffed. "You were going to pull the same thing you did at the sports festival. Give it to someone else because you don't feel like you deserve it."

"I didn't!" Kira argued. "We both know that kid needed that! Do you understand the pressure Todoroki and Iida are under right now? How devastating it'll be for them if they lose? Neither me or Midoriya have to face what they do."

She gave up on lying.

"So what? You want to let them win?" He asked. Raising his eyebrows. "Hand them victory, you think that's what they want?"

"They won't know the difference. They don't expect me to actually be that much of a threat to them anyways." She mumbled. Crossing her arms.

"You need to take these things seriously. As training for yourself. You're never going to become a threat unless you make yourself into one." Her teacher scolded. "Think of your uncle. Don't you want to impress him?"

"I don't care what he thinks." Kira said with a frown. "You know that."

"Fine. Then impress me." He crossed his arms back. "Or you're expelled."

Kira scoffed. "You're joking."

"Not this time." Aizawa shook his head. "You don't need to be at UA if you refuse to actually learn. To actually try."

"You can't expell me!" Kira said with an eyeroll.

"Yes I can." He stated. Kira listened for a moment and realized he was actually kinda serious.

He'd actually try if she lost on purpose. But he knew Nezu might not let him expel her like he would any other students.

"You don't have to win. You just need to try."
