Kira and Midoriya were the most unlikely of teams.
Midoriya was pouting over her not being Kacchan and Kira was waiting for the right words to come to her.
"Now I'm stuck with Kira... Stupid. She can't help me fight Todoroki."
"We don't both have to fight Todoroki." Kira said with an eyeroll. "We're supposed to get a flag."
"Yeah. That he's also supposed to get." He stated with a pout.
"We already have an advantage though." Kira shrugged and he glanced over.
"I know where it is." She told him with a smile.
"How could you possibly know that?"
Midoriya scoffed. It was hidden by Midnight, Kira hadn't gotten anywhere close to her.
"I know the layout of this place. Plus Mr Aizawa and Midnight discussed several different spots. I know where she'd hide it." Kira explained.
"Where?" Midoriya asked, crossing his arms.
"I'm going after it. Not you." Kira stated. Not telling him yet, she knew he'd just run off and do it himself.
"Why not?" He asked with a small glare. "Who put you in charge?"
"Because if you went on your own you'd end up fight two on one." Kira explained. "They're gonna send Iida in to get it, hes the fastest. Todoroki is going to stand guard and make she we stay away from wherever they think the flag is."
"Iida's quirk would allow him to check multiple places really quickly... And Todoroki is gonna keep his eyes peeled for me... If they see me enter I'll draw both their attentions and end up having to fight while looking for it... Damn it. She's right isn't she? I hate her."
"Hey listen, can we put the whole feud thing aside for a second? It's gonna make things easier if we just trust each other." Kira reasoned.
"I don't trust you." He puffed out his cheeks and looked away with his arms still tightly crossed.
They were on their way to their starting point. Not another person in sight, no camera's yet either. So he was showing a little more of his personality than usual.
"I promise that you can trust me to make the best decisions possible to win this." Kira put her hand out. "If you promise not to be an ass."
"I'm not an ass." Deku mumbled, eyeing her hand. "Just for right now?"
"Sure. A temporary alliance for just this purpose. Let's combine our forces." Kira nodded and with a little hesitation.
He took her hand.

"Alright. First Match is team Iida and Todoroki verses team Kokoa and Midoriya." Mr Aizawa said, clicking through the screens to find where his students were.
Iida and Todoroki stood together, head inclined slightly in conversation. Todoroki stretched his arm and back.
The other screen clicked on right as Kira and Midoriya shook hands in agreement. Sealing their unholy alliance.
"This will be interesting, Ribbit." Tsu said. "But with Todoroki on team one's side and Kira's lack of offensive power it doesn't look great for team two." The froggy girl observed. Having just come out of a win herself it was easy for her classmates to trust her.
Her and Kaminari had just barely pulled out a victory, because he had managed to electrocute Kirishima seconds before he took the flag to his own base.
"Kira's not much of a fighter, but she is pretty smart." Jirou whispered. "Remember her first match with Midoriya? She beat him in seconds."
"Yeah but she doesn't have the time or resources to set traps this time." Kaminari pointed out.
"I could see this very easily panning out into two separate one on one fights." Yayorozu stated, loud enough for everyone to hear. "Todoroki and Midoriya on one end and Kira and Iida on the other."
"Really?" Jirou asked, turning to look at the girl.
"Midoriya and Todoroki, while friends they also are constantly challenging each other. We saw that at the sports festival." Yayorozu explained. "They seem to be friendly rivals and equals."
"So then Iida and Kira will have to have it out while they're distracted?" Sero asked.
"Maybe, I could see both of them taking upon themselves to find the flag." Momo said. "Plus like Todoroki and Deku. Kira and Iida are rivals in their own way as well."
"Really?" Uraraka asked. "They get along. And Iida doesn't like fighting with Kira." She said, thinking back to their other sparring match. He had spoken about it afterwards to the others. He found it hard to use his full strength against her.
"Exactly. The two have been at odds since we were in middle school. The problem is Iida... Didn't seem to notice it." Momo said sheepishly. All too aware of his family listening in curiously. "It's just that... Well he's seemed to have put her in a box. Categorizing her as someone to protect. And though he may have changed his views on her a little bit recently he still doesn't quite view her as an equal. Opponent wise that is." Yayorozu explained.
She understood this because she knew she had done the exact same thing.
"Kokoa finds this very frustrating at times. And it may or may not lead to them hashing it out Today. That's just my opinion based on observations though."
"But didn't she beat him already? In that last fight? She won. Wouldn't that change his mind?" Denki asked.
"He didn't see it as a real win remember?" Bakugou mumbled, arms crossed as he leaned back in his seat.
"He accused her of cheating. She didn't win by force so he doesn't see her as strong, just crafty. It's f-" He stopped, glancing at Tsu's little sister. Who was staring right at him.
"Flipping crap." He finished, looking away.
"Bakugou? Are you trying not to curse because of my siblings? Ribbit."
"Shut up, I am not." He glared at the froggy girl and looked away.
"So it's a one sided rivalry then?" Ojirou said, looking at Momo.
"You could say that. Kokoa and Iida are opposites in many ways. That often leads to discord." Tokoyomi mumbled.
"Opposite? I guess I never really thought of them that way." Uraraka mumbled.
But it was true.
Iida had been given everything as a child. He had been raised his whole life by a very loving family, with a strong quirk that he was told to be proud of. A family lineage he was encouraging to live up too.
Kira had struggled her entire life. Losing her family and never having confidence in her quirk. Often encouraged to sit down and let other people protect her.
She was told to shut up most of her life.
He was encouraging to speak his mind and be proud of himself.
They didn't have many similarities at all.
Iida didn't know what fear was and that's what lead him into that alleyway to challenge Stain.
Kira understood fear all too well.
Night vs Day.
This was a battle of rivals.

"Go."
Kira and Midoriya ran down the street. Kira knew where the flag was, a faint thought caught from Midnight above confirmed it.
"Remember, the moment you see Todoroki draw his fire. Wait for my word outside, then we make a break for it."
"Shut up, I know what the plan is." Midoriya mumbled. "Stop being so bossy."
"Stop being so bitchy."
"Hey!"
The flag was located inside a building in the middle of the small cityscape. It was the tallest building in there and the direct center. Of course that's where it would be.
But it was on the roof, in the center of a small maze. Kira could get there easily enough.
"There he is-" Midoriya activated his quirk and jumped ahead of Kira. Jumping from building to building towards Todoroki. While Kira snuck around the building and entered through a back door.
She looked around the inside. Looking at a flight of stairs with disgust.
That would be a lot of stairs.
So she snuck until she saw an elevator. Working smarter, not harder. That was her motto.

"How did she know exactly where it is?"
Tensei mumbled, tilting his head as he watched. This was cool to watch, like reality TV.
"Kira knows things." Denki said with a shrug. Like that explained it.
"Why do we never think to use the elevators when training?"
"I wonder what she's listening too."
"Kira... Oh yeah! Mina told me about her. Jirou used to Like Kira, but Kira maybe likes Bakugou. So now Jirou kinda likes Momo... It's fun to finally put faces to the people she talks about."
"Mommy, why does that girl with boy hair have headphones on?" Zuzu whispered. Sitting on her mom's lap.
"I don't know." The woman whispered back. "Her name is Kokoa and she just has normal hair. There's no such thing as boy hair."
"Ko-ko..." She whispered back, grabbed her mom's cheeks.

Kira made it to the top of the building right as Iida made it to the bottom. Narrowing down his options to here. He bolted up the stairs and made a quick lap around every other floor.
Kira heard him coming a mile away, looking at the entince to the small maze on the roof. She had several options.
Run through it and pray.
Climb on top of it and run over the walls. The only problem is how high and smooth they are.
Or just-
Iida's foots pounded on the stairs as he ran up them. Almost at the top. Kira ducked behind a wall and waited for him to run out.
"If it's not up here I don't know- Ah Ha! Of course! A maze! I've made it! Now all I have to do is run through it quickly! Shouldn't take that long... Let's go!"
Iida ran in, Kira looked at the entrance and shrugged. Why not let him do the hard work?
She listened to his thoughts as he ran around. Left, right, right, left, backtrack, right, blah, blah, blah.
He found it. She could feel strong pride and excitement as he started back. Left, left, Right-
He stopped outside the entrance. He pulled off his helmet and put a hand to his ear. Kira could see the shiny fabric in his hand.
His back was turned and his helmet was off. Man he was making this too easy. He tapped on his ear piece.
"Todoroki I've found it- yes I understand! I'll take it back while you hold him off. Is there any sign of Koko-"
He was cut off by Kira's boot hitting the side of his head.
