A/N: I love making up MHA arcs

It had been about two weeks since the students of UA moved into the heights alliance dorms.

Now it was time for the school to follow through on one of its promises to both students and their parents.

They were having a family day.

Everyone's families were invited to UA to view what a standard day for the students was like. As a way to put their minds farther at ease, showing that their children were safe and happy.

Kira had always hated family days. Even now her stomach turned at the idea.

Sure she did have her uncle here this time. But she felt like it would just remind her of all the times he wasn't there.

All the times she sat in the corner, watching all the families interact as her classmates joyfully showed their parents their classroom and their lockers and desks.

Awkwardly telling her teacher she didn't have a parent coming for career day.

That she didn't have anyone to invite to the choir show, so the tickets given to her to sell as a fundraiser were useless.

She knew her uncle was trying to right his wrongs. But that didn't make them go away.
Besides so many of her classmates would have their parents there. Not their "legal guardians" their Mom or their Dad or both.

Along with siblings.

Not to mention the noise. God, she was dreading it already. Almost every student had two parents coming. That was almost sixty people counting children and parents.

Plus all the siblings.

Kira hated the idea. The only person who dreaded it as much as she did was Todoroki.

Which was understandable. With his father coming to watch his every move. To watch them train. She would be psyched out too.

She ended up waking up pretty early. Not intentionally, even with her new "napping shed" she didn't sleep as much as the rest of her classmates. Apparently rest just wasn't in the stars for her.

She took a shower, her quirk told her most people were still in bed. Parents weren't coming until around eight so she had time.

She put her pajamas back on and walked down the hall towards the elevator. Her pajamas were actually just men's boxers and a baggy white tank top.

She went through her usual routine of going straight to the coffee pot, she got about four hours of sleep which really wasn't that bad, at least not for her anyways. But she still was going to need lots of caffeine to get through this day. She checked the time, it was just now seven o'clock.

She turned the corner to walk through the common room towards the kitchen and her mind suddenly snagged on several thoughts that were out of place.

There were four people here that were an hour early.

Kira really hated her luck, but she was tired and wanted coffee. If they saw her in her pajamas because they came early that's on them.

"Kira!" Iida said stiffly. Face red.

"Sup." Kira responded nonchalantly, pouring herself a cup of the black coffee.
The Iida family had made themselves at home on the couches. Mr Aizawa and Tenya were with them.

"Is she wearing men's underwear as pajamas?!? Infront of my parents??"

"My um." Tenya coughed. "My family is here."

"I see that, They're here early." Kira said, looking Tenya over. Tenya was extremely punctual and an early bird.

Turns out his family is exactly the same.

"Isn't that... The girl we met at his middle school graduation?"

"UA seems to have done her some good. She has more muscle than she used too, she's less pale as well. The poor dear looks tired though. Tenya didn't mention they still took classes together."

"Of course they are!" Iida said with a smile. "Are you excited for the day?"

"Nope." Kira chugged the freshly poured cup of coffee within literal seconds and set it into the sink for her to wash later. "But I'll get over it."

She walked back towards the elevator with a sigh. She hadn't even glanced at his family, she just felt awkward around them. Around everyone, she didn't like this. Not at all really.

"Just try to behave yourself today." Mr Aizawa grumbled.

Kira rolled her eyes. "When do I not?"

"You've literally punched another student before Kira."

She glared at him but didn't respond to his thoughts. "Whatever, I'm going back to bed."

"You just drank a whole pot of coffee." Tensei pointed out, sitting next to his little brother.

"I know." Kira shrugged and walked into the elevator. "See ya."

It dinged and the doors closed around her. Leaving her alone again. She wanted to stay in here alone forever. She didn't want to do anything today.

Maybe she was being dramatic. But days like these left a bad taste in her mouth. She rolled her eyes as the elevator took her up.

"She's a good kid." Mr Aizawa said, drinking from his own coffee. Glad he had poured a cup before Kira came down. "She's just been going through a lot these past few weeks."
It almost sounded like he was making excuses for her.

"Yeah." Tensei nodded with a smile. "Is she... Well are you two related?"

Aizawa sighed. "No, but we've been getting that a lot lately." He said, thinking back to all the times it was mentioned. It was basically impossible for them to have some sort of secret relation. Mr Aizawa knew his family tree quite well, and it didn't match with hers. Most of his family was from Korea. While hers was Japanese with some small ties to America.

Yes, he had looked into it.

"You two look an awful lot like each other. With the hair and eyes." Iida's mother nodded.

"Yeah, her only relative is her uncle." Aizawa nodded. "Yagi Toshinori, better known of course... As All Might."

"All Might?" Iida's father raised an eyebrow.

"So that's who she was visiting... She wasn't kidding when she said he was in recovery." Tensei mumbled.

"What do you mean?" Tenya asked his brother.

"We ran into each other at the hospital the day after the All Might fight. She said she was visiting her uncle... I didn't realize who it was." He explained.

"They're fairly secretive about it. I think All Might didn't want it getting out, in order to protect her." Aizawa explained. "He'll be coming here today actually."

"At least he fucking better be." Aizawa thought, eyes narrowing just slightly. He didn't know what he would do if the man didn't show. But it wouldn't be pretty.

"Tensei never mentioned running into her. Though I suppose we didn't have much opportunity to talk one on one before I left to stay in the dorms..."

"I still think it's odd he never mentioned her being in his class still... He normally tells me everything. It could be that he's still embarrassed by what happened at the end of middle school... Maybe he just didn't want to bring it up again..."

"So I'm assuming she's not, in fact quirkless." Iida's father said. He was a fairly tall man, with dark black hair and navy blue eyes. Even though he was well past retirement he still looked strong. Arms thick and muscular.

He was a wise man of few words, Aizawa was pretty fond of the man. Having met him when he himself was just a start-up pro.

Aizawa stated for a second, glancing over at Tenya. Assuming that the boy had at some point told his parents Kira was quirkless. Which wasn't surprising in the slightest, the boy meant well most of the time but he truly did talk a lot about things that weren't necessarily his business.

"No... No she's not." He nodded. "But she's very secretive about her quirk. Prefers it if less people know about it." Her teacher said slowly, thinking of the best response.

He gave Tenya a look, he hoped it told him: 'Don't fucking tell them'
By the boys nod he assumed he got the message. Kira was still nervous about it, and while they already knew the worst possible people that could know already did.

Aizawa wanted to respect her wishes.
