"What?! You mean... Following her?" Uraraka covered her mouth. "What if we get in trouble?"
"Mr Aizawa can't punish us for what we do outside of school." Mina crossed her arms. "What do you think Jirou?"
Jirou bit her lip, still looking at where she last saw Nova.
"... couldn't hurt right?" Jirou asked.
"Yeah! It's just a little fun!" Mina nodded. "Besides... What if she actually is... You know."
"Mina! That's mean!" Uraraka gasped. "Didn't the police clear her?!"
"Yeah but they could be wrong." Mina pointed out. "There's no harm in... You know, making sure she's not up to anything!"
"I don't know... What if she catches us?" Uraraka asked.
"Then we better hope the police were right... That she's not a villain." Mina hummed, hands behind her back as she waltzed down the street. Walking after where they saw Nova.
The other two girls nervously followed their mischievous friend. While the girls felt slightly uneasy, none of them actually believed they'd see Nova consulting with villains or anything.
But there was a certain... Curiosity they had around Nova. Who was a mysterious figure in their class, she never talked with them. Although they didn't really talk to her either. And they never heard any details about her life.
They trailed behind her, far enough back that Nova wouldn't notice them unless she turned around completely. Which she never did. They followed as she walked for almost a mile and ended up at a school.
"An elementary school?" Uraraka mumbled as the three ducked behind a wall. Peeking around the corner to watch.
"Novaa!!" A young voice cried out, hugging said girl around the waist.
She was around eight and blonde, with blue eyes and most noticably she had two small white wings around the size of an adult's hand. The two girls looked nothing alike. But they very obviously knew each other.
"Awh... That's kinda cute." Uraraka smiled as the two embraced. It certainly wasn't what any of them expected to see.
"Hey where's your uniform? Is UA school still cancelled?" Uraraka and Mina could barely hear the little girl from so far away. But Jirou could hear well enough with her quirk.
"Yeah... Something like that." Nova said, seemingly uncomfortable by the little girl's question.
"Nova! Did you skip?!" The girl's accusation was loud enough for the other two girls to hear as Nova took the younger girls hand in preparation to walk.
"Don't tell Miss Karon okay?" Nova muttered, her own voice much softer than the little girl's. "I called in sick."
"But you're not sick!"
"I can't hearrr." Mina whined. "What are they saying?"
"The little girl is fussing at Kurayami for skipping." Jirou muttered, putting a hand over her other ear so she could hear better.
"Did she say why?" Uraraka asked.
"She said 'it's complicated." Jirou interpreted with a frown. Wanting answers just as much as everyone else.
"Are you scared of villains?" The little girl asked and Nova responded with a mumble even Jirou couldn't hear. The older girl was super soft spoken.
"Can I skip school tomorrow?" The little girl asked, tugging on Nova's arm.
"No you can't." Kurayami said with a frown. "I'm going tomorrow, so you are too."
"Awh, how come you get to have all the fun?" The girl whined as Nova started to walk away from the school. Changing the subject.
"They're leavinggg." Mina whined.
"Maybe we shouldn't follow anymore... Obviously she's not up to anything nefarious." Jirou mumbled.
"I don't know... I am kinda curious now... I don't know much about her. I didn't know she had a little sister!" Uraraka said with a smile.
"They don't look alike at all. Besides... Does that mean that little girl is Rikko Kurayami's daughter too?" Mina asked. "I need answers Jirou."
"Why don't you just... Wait and ask her tomorrow?" Jirou asked nervously.
"I could... But that would be weird. Like 'hi sorry for not talking to you but... Do you have any siblings?" Mina frowned as she imatated the imaginary conversation.
"Not any weirder than stalking them." Jirou replied with a straight face.
"Fine you're right... I guess this is creepy..." Mina sighed.
"So... Do you guys want to get ice cream or something? I know this really good place with lots of flavors on the cheap!" Uraraka smiled as the girls slowly changed their plans.
Leaving the two girls to walk unfollowed.

Nova and Zoey made it to the small shop, it was a convenience store but they had a small ice cream shop inside.
Nova paid for a small ice cream cone with money she found between the couch cushions and a few coins she found on the street. It was a little embarrassing honestly. But as long as Zoey got a little treat she didn't care much.
Their shared ice cream was mostly eaten by Zoey. Not that Nova minded, she honestly didn't really like sweet things. Not nearly as much as Zoey did at least.
Zoey kicked her feet on the park bench the two sat on, across from the store and the tables around it. Nova preferred to lay low when in public. It wasn't uncommon for someone to recognize her, not after that article was posted at least. But so far no one had given her a problem.
"Did you actually skip school because of the villains?" Zoey asked Nova after they had been quiet for awhile.
"Why else would I?" Nova asked. Avoiding a direct answer.
"I don't know... You don't like school like I do." Zoey said, looking up at her. "Even though your school is totally cooler than mine."
"It's just been... Difficult lately." Nova sighed. "School gets harder as you grow up..."
"Oh... Like math?" Zoey looked down at her ice cream.
"Yeah... Like math." Nova sighed and rested her eyes, leaning her head back. She didn't know how to explain what went on at UA. How to tell Zoey that... People didn't like Nova the way they liked her.
"Do you know them?" Zoey asked, poking Nova's arm with a slightly sticky finger.
Nova opened her eyes, seeing three girls. Three familiar girls. All staring directly at her from across the street. Nova's face went red and their eyes widened when she caught sight of them.
Uraraka and Jirou and Mina all seemed to panic slightly and turn to hide. Whispering to one another.
"N-not really." Nova mumbled. Turning to Zoey. "Are you finished?"
"Mhm..." Zoey hummed, eyes still locked on Nova's three classmates. "Why are they watching us?"
"Because they're weird." Nova shrugged, her heart pounding in her chest as she wondered the same thing.
Why were they here? Where they actually watching her? The day Nova claimed to be sick... Would they tell Mr Aizawa she lied? Would they tell everyone else?
Nova took Zoey's hand and stood up. "Let's go home." She whispered.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah I just... Wanna go home." Nova cast another glance at the other girls, who were now staring at them again.
"Okay..." Zoey said, not really believing her sister. Her blue eyes seemed locked in the group of girls as they watched her and Nova walk away.
Nova cursed. Zoey sure was observant....
It was a real pain in the ass sometimes.
