BECOMING FRIENDS

Slayers:

Tanjiro:

It's not hard to become friends with Tanjiro, because he's so nice, caring, and considerate. And as you two stuck together on your journey, you grew more comfortable around him and his little sister - Nezuko, as he introduced.

Zenitsu and Inosuke were good company as well, but you weren't as close with them as you were with Tanjiro. When you two were apart, you'd frequently send letters to each other for updates, since you'd found a nice home in a quiet village, far away from your horrid parents.

Inosuke:

The wild man was annoying when you first met him, because he was always trying to challenge you, but as you got to know him more while your sister was healing, you softened to his antics. You also learned how to subdue him easily (mostly by offering him food or countering his challenges by asking him questions).

He also warmed up to you quite a bit, because he stopped challenging you as much and started seeing you as an equal, even though you weren't a demon slayer.

Zenitsu:

As you two teamed up for missions more and more, you found yourself growing closer to the man, and you realized that he wasn't all that bad; he was a pretty cool dude.

His wimpy attitude was slowly vanishing the more demons he slayed, and his clinging to you was fading as well. Sometimes after slaying demons, you two would treat yourselves to some greasy street food.

Nezuko:

Nezuko really warmed up to you during your time at the Butterfly Mansion, often seeking you out when Tanjiro was busy doing his rehab training.

She often gave you headpats or gave you food that she snuck out of Aoi's kitchen. She really liked you, and you were more than happy to be her friend.

Shinobu:

There was something about the gentle woman that just drew you closer to her. While you were healing at the Estate, you often struck up a conversation with her or she would seek you out (when she wasn't busy) to just hang out and see how your wounds were healing.

Mitsuri:

It's safe to say that food was your bonding point. More often than not would Mitsuri come visit you at your father's business with some food, and you two would have a picnic together.

Sometimes, you two would also go shopping in your small village, and one day you surprised her with a pink pendant with a heart engraved onto it, something that you carved yourself.

Kanae:

After occasionally sneaking away from your training with Kyojuro (and getting caught a few times), Kanae started to visit you at his estate while you were training.

She'd bring bento with her, and you two (and Kyojuro and baby Senjuro sometimes) would just sit on the engawa and talk. She often gave you pointers on your training, which you eagerly listened to.

Giyuu:

After coincidentally receiving more and more missions that required you to be around the Water Hashira, it's safe to say that you started to break his shell a little.

He was still tentative around you, but you could tell that he liked your company and cheesy jokes. You eventually got over his stoned attitude, knowing that there was some reason that he was like that.

You heard from a certain someone that his favorite food was salmon daikon, so after missions you would treat him at a restaurant sometimes.

Muichiro:

It took a long time for you two to warm up to one another, but after a while of meeting up and occasional missions, you two began to open up to each other a bit more.

Muichiro became a bit more polite and cordial with you, especially when Tanjiro was around. You liked this change. A lot. He was really easy going, and nice to hang around.

Kyojuro:

Becoming friends with Kyojuro? Easy.

His visits to the wisteria house became more frequent as you two got to know each other more. You loved hearing his stories about demon slaying, and you were happy that he was so confident in his abilities.

Sometimes, with your father's consent, you two would often head to his home, where you'd meet his little brother (whom you loved). His visits were something that you eagerly awaited.

Sanemi:

That man was just scary to you. It didn't matter that he was a Hashira, someone you had to respect, his whole demeanor was terrifying.

At first, you weren't interested in becoming friends with him. But it took a few encounters for you both to start putting your differences aside.

You found it easier to be around him, and on rare occasions, he'd help you with your work (and make you swear not to tell Shinobu) and you'd provide him with ohagi sometimes.

Obanai:

Becoming friends with Obanai was tough, because he was so reclusive around people. He was also extremely rude, which made it harder to get closer to him. But you didn't give up.

It took a few encounters, but you eventually found it easier to work with the serpent pillar. He was a good ally to have, and not just because he was strong.

Tengen:

You two ran into each other more often, and after meeting Hinatsuru and Suma, Tengen made it his mission for you to meet his third wife, Makio.

He invited you to a nice picnic on a cliffside, and you accepted, eager to see Hinatsuru and Suma again. You met Makio at the picnic, and you two got along surprisingly well, which kick-started your friendship between the two (that and your "flashy" cooking).

Gyomei:

At first, you were worries that tour training would prevent you from becoming friends with Gyomei, but what wasn't the case. Since he's often busy outside of your training, you didn't get to see him much at first.

He's also very calm, and you'd often have tea together by the waterfall next to his estate after training. You loved listening to his stories, and he would commend your strength when you'd reciprocate.

Demons:

Daki:

Daki normally wouldn't associate herself with a servant in the Kyogoku House, but there was something about you was was interesting to her, so she decided to keep you alive.

As you two crossed paths more and more, you noticed that Daki started to ease herself around you a bit. It made you happy that the feared Oiran Warabihime was nicer to you, although some other women in the brothel thought that she had ulterior motives.

You rather liked the oiran. You two would talk occasionally, and you even gave her a hairpin that you spent most of your savings on as a thank you for her sudden kindness. You never saw her wear it, but that doesn't mean that she didn't hide it underneath her voluminous hair.

Gyutaro:

Mostly because of Daki, you two became closer in the months after you met. He was a bit distant at first, but thanks to your oddly bubbly personality, he grew a bit more comfortable around you.

You two would sometimes go hunting for demon slayers together, which brought you closer (Douma noticed, he won't shut up about it). Guytaro was nice company to be around, but he avoided telling you too much about himself or his morals, which you understood - you couldn't quite remember your human life. Not that you cared, you were a demon now.

Hantengu (Clones):

It was super easy to befriend Urogi and Karaku, but not so much the other two emotions. Sekido was super fucking rude and reclusive, as he didn't let you get to close to him, let alone hold a proper conversation with him.

Aizetsu was just too sad to focus on you, and when you two were alone together in the Fortress, he often just stood in the corner wallowing in his sadness and mumbling to himself.

Karaku always dragged you around, wanting to test your hunting skills on unsuspecting demon slayers, which you had to admit was super fun.

Urogi liked to play pranks on you, which pissed you off but never failed to make you laugh. He was the wildest one out of the bunch, which was refreshing but also overwhelming at times.

Akaza:

It took a few weeks of regular meetings, and by the time you relaxed enough around him to stand next to him without that apprehensive feeling (or your pocket knife), you realized that you've kinda become friends?

Akaza was good company, and he would sometimes stay until your bakery's closing time (after your friend left) and walk home with you. You liked talking with him about your day, and although he didn't share, he still listened intently. You reminded him of someone in his past, which made him feel a little closer to you.

Douma:

Douma was super bubbly and outgoing, so becoming friends with him wasn't hard. After a few more encounters with each other, you were content to call him your friend.

Though he was a demon, he still showed kindness to you. He liked your company; you amused him which is why he decided not to kill you (that and you were a new slayer, you were weak and would be a waste of time to kill).

You spent afternoons together in his sanctuary talking, and nights walking around his front garden. His followers also showed kindness to you, which gave off a really calm atmosphere.

Kokushibo:

You never expected to become friends with uppermoon 1, but after a while of accidental meetings, you became less wary of him. You two would stand by your usual cliffside talking to each other about this or that, but when you tried to ask questions about him, he wouldn't really answer you.

It was fine, since he was very reclusive, and you were just grateful that he didn't kill you. Some nights he would appear before you while you were gardening (once you threw your gloves at him) and would strike a conversation with you.

Muzan:

You didn't expect to become friends with your master, but that's exactly what happened. After missions, you would just hang around him at the Infinity Fortress, curious about whatever he was doing. You tried to get him to talk, and sometimes he did.

Of course, you couldn't get too close to him, because, you know, he's Muzan, but that didn't stop you from hanging out with him and helping him with his studies when you weren't looking for that fucking flower.
