Kira crossed her arms and yawned. The third year whose name turned out to be Mirio Togata stood across from her class.
The dude was super excited. He really did love fighting with people, it did have anything to do with beating them up though. He just appreciated a challenge, Kira could respect that.
"This isn't a good idea... Why can't we just tell them what they're going to be doing? What it's like? Plus it won't look good if some of them don't recover." Tamaki Amajiki Mumbled, he was still facing the wall. Like he didn't want to watch what was about to happen. Or maybe he was too shy to show his face, Kira couldn't tell.
"He hospitalized that one kid in training a few weeks ago... He dropped out afterwards. Mirio sometimes forgets how advanced his strength is..."
"No one wants to spend any time in the hospital." He finished. Kira couldn't tell if he was actually talking too Mirio, of if he was just talking to the wall. "Can't look... They're not potatoes."
"I bet he's just trying to psych us out." Kirishima said, cracking his knuckles.
"I wouldn't be so sure of that." Kira mumbled to herself. Her classmates were wayyy too sure of themselves. She didn't know if she should warn them that Mirio and his friends were dead serious about his strength... Or just let them fail.
"You better make sure you know what you're doing. Remember that one guy who got frustrated in training and dropped out? That wasn't any fun for anyone! So be careful okay?" Hado said while molesting Mina's horns. Trying to make them wiggle.
"I wish Tamaki wouldn't try and convince him to stop! I like watching Mirio fight! He has a lot of muscles- aw look at Tamaki, so shy."
Kira genuinely couldn't tell if Hado was just like this... Or if she had a crush with both boys. Kira didn't really care either way though.
"You're obviously much farther ahead than us... But we've faught Pro's before." Tokoyomi said, Kirishima walked up next to him.
"Not to mention we've taken down some serious villains." The redhead said.
"I don't think you need to worry about hurting us. We're not a bunch of wannabes."
"We're totally gonna get our asses kicked." Kira sighed. "Aren't we?" She glanced at Aizawa.
If her classmates thought about things logically then they'd realize that if Mirio was not only top of his class, but also of the entire school.
Dude was better than Todoroki, Bakugou, Midoriya and Tokoyomi. Who were the top of their class performance wise. None of them would be this arrogant when facing Todoroki. So why were they when facing this guy?
Aizawa shrugged. "Yeah probably." He said. "It'll be a learning experience... Although if anyone could stand up against Mirio It'd be Kira... He relies on surprise a lot of the time, it would just depend on if she could read his mind when he phases. I guess we'll have to find out."
His last train of thought came unintentionally. Kira could tell because he referred to her by her name and not personally. She turned to him again. Mirio had just gotten down with stretching.
"I've heard! But you'll have to prove you're not a bunch of wannabes! Now who's gonna start this party?" He asked. "First attack I'll just do the top half of my body, so I can stay standing up and keep most of my clothes on. But I'll have to knock out the long distance fighters first. While they're surprised I'll go underground!!!"
Kira blinked. 'I'm sorry, what did he say about his clothes?"
"I've got this!" Kirishima stepped forward.
"No, I'm first." Midoriya said, blocking him.
'Rude.' Kira thought, shooting Midoriya a glare.
"You stole my thunder!" Kirishima whined.
"I wanted to be cool and start..."
"Main character syndrome." Kira mumbled about Deku.
"He said he was gonna catch up anyway he can... After being out for three days. You can do it Deku!" Uraraka thought with a determined look on her face.
Kira was glad she was getting back to normal. On the outside the girl had been okay but Kira could tell what happened during parents night had really affected her mental state.
"View this as a learning experience!"
Aizawa yelled at them. "They are so gonna get their asses kicked. Not such a bad thing, they're getting too cocky with everything that's happened too them. Harder to control, maybe this'll knock some sense into them."
"Oh the problem child!" Mirio said with a smile. Kira and a few others snickered. "Yes this is perfect! I've heard you've got plenty of fire!"
"The top student at UA... If I'm gonna spar with anyone he's the best person... How will I fair against him at my level? How far ahead is he? What's his quirk? Is he strong like Kacchan? Stronger? Of course he is, he's part of the big three."
"I remember him from the sports festival. He broke a lot of bones, but he's probably doing better now... I thought he used mostly arms but from his position it looks like he's gonna use some sort of jumping attack... Huh. Okay, so he'll probably kick or punch me. This'll be pretty easy I think."
"The close combat team should surround him first thing!" Sato said.
Kira didn't even know if she was apart of that team. Sure she could technically only fight in close combat, but she wouldn't say it was her specialty. Anyways she knew none of them would land any damage on him. His quirk, though she didn't yet know the name essentially allowed him to pass through all matter.
Sounds strong at first but based on his thought process it took hundreds of tiny steps to complete one move. He had to be perfectly in tune with his body and quirk for it to work.
Kira understood what Aizawa meant now, if he had to walk through every step mentally when fighting. Kira would know every move he would make. He couldn't get around that.
But the likelihood of her being able to counter him was slim. Sure she could dodge, but actually fight back? Not at her level. She couldn't do much to him, at least not without a weapon.
"We have a new mentor!!" Sero got in a fighting position.
"Thanks for giving us the opportunity... To beat your ass!!!" Kirishima yelled. Kira sighed and allowed them to get infront of her. She had to blend into the crowd if she wanted to avoid him attacking her, then leave said crowd when he was underground and couldn't see.
Midoriya leapt up in the air and the rest of the close combat team rushed forward. Then they stopped. Midoriya fumbled his position in the air and Jirou screamed from behind Kira.
Mirio's clothes slipped from his body.
Kira looked away and Midoriya kept going despite his shock. "Bad move!! You're open!" He yelled.
But his foot went straight through Mirio's head. Causing him to panic and figure out where to land correctly. He had been sure he'd hit something, the planned out physics of his attack was completely thrown off.
"Went for the head huh?" Mirio asked with a smile. As several move attacks went through him. Sero's tape, Aoyama's Lazer and Mina's acid. All useless against his quirk.
Then he disappeared, falling through the ground and leaving his clothes in a pile.
'He's completely naked now... Isn't he? Hey why isn't there any underwear?!" Kira Wondered, looking at the pile of clothes.
Kira could still hear and feel his mind as he passed underneath her feet. He was planning on popping up behind the long distance fighters.
"JIROU WATCH OUT!!" Kira yelled, turning.
"Huh?" Jirou asked.
"I'LL START WITH THE LONG DISTANCE FIGHTERS!!!" Mirio's cheery voice announced behind her.
"AHHHHHH!!!" Jirou screamed as she spun around. Jump scared by a completely naked man.
"He warped?!" Shoji said, turning around.
"But Kira predicted it?!"
"He does more than just slip through things?! What kinda crazy Strong quirk is this?!" Kirishima asked, running after him.
"Mirio's quirk isn't what you should be jealous of..." Kira turned her attention to Tamaki, she was in the clear for now. Mirio was focusing on the long distance fighters.
"They should be envying his strength... He joined a work study but didn't stop there... He built himself up."
"POWERRRRRR!!!!" Mirio screamed. He'd finished with the long distance fighters. All of them were on the ground, crying and throwing up. He seemed to favor punching people in the gut. Kira wasn't sure why though.
Kira changed her stance, ready to run if she needed to. Mirio put his pants on and took a few deep breaths.
He couldn't breath when his quirk was activated, at least not when his entire body was. That was a huge weakness.
The one plan Kira could think of to defeat him would to just give him to use his quirk until he was in danger of passing out. But she wasn't even sure she could do that. Not right now at least. No, there was no way any of them would win this.
"There's more to his quirk than meets the eye!" Midoriya yelled. "We have to use what we know to predict his attacks!"
As if on que Mirio popped up behind him after running into the ground. But Midoriya had expected this, turning to counter.
"WOAH YOU SAW THAT?? TIME FOR AN ULTIMATE MOVE!! POKEY EYE OUT!!!" Mirio said.
Kira watched as Mirio's arm traveled up Deku's body, straight towards his eyes. But this wasn't with intent to actually poke them, just force him to shut his eyes. Leaving him blind and vulnerable. Then Mirio turned in the air and punched Midoriya in... You guessed it.
The gut.
He went under again and Kira bolted. Running from the group right as he emerged from the ground. Taking out Sato, Kirishima, Tenya, Hagakure and Uraraka.
"Huh, wasn't there one more?" He thought. He looked around and saw Kira. He smiled and laughed a little before sinking underground.
"Okay one more and then I can talk about my quirk! I'll just jump in front of her!"
He thought as he traveled down. Then he turned off his quirk and shot up. He was angled to pop up right in front of where Kira had been standing.
"SUPRIS- Huh??" He turned in the air to look for Kira. Who had darted as far as she could have in the seconds she had.
He landed and looked over. "She predicted my moves, sure she did!! I've been doing the same thing this entire time! Okay... Time to change it up then!!"
Mirio thought, putting his pants back on for good measure. Kira watched him and waited. He ran at her and she held her breath. "I'll go at her with my right hand, but make sure to use my quirk on it. Then when she tries to dodge I'll use my left and throw an actual blow!"
Kira took in a deep breath, he was inches away. She didn't flinch as his balled up right hand flew towards her face. She didn't feel so much as a tingle as it passed through her. It was so weird. Kira ducked forward and crossed her arms tightly against her stomach. Letting them take the force of the blow.
His 'Surprise' punch was hard, she understood why he'd knocked so many people out with it. But he didn't land it the way he wanted, so it didn't do that much to Kira.
She noticed his pants, they were still on his body, which meant his lower half was solid. She brought up her knee and for just a second she felt it hit something solid.
Panic filled Mirio's mind and he used his quirk on his entire body, his pants flopped limply onto Kira's knee and his whole body passed through hers into the ground.
"How did she predict exactly what I was going to do?! She's different then the others, she seems like she plans everything out based on what she knows. Which is what I do! Which is the entire point of this lesson. She's pretty good for a first year." Mirio fell deeper and deeper underground. Ready to pop back up.
But where?
"She'll move again right? She'll expect me to pop up somewhere close to her. There isn't much room behind her, there's a wall pretty close. Infront of her is a pile of her classmates... So right or left? Right, she favors it."
He shot up and Kira decided not to move from her spot. She tossed his pants over to where she knew he'd come up at. It fell over the fist he had brought back to hit her.
"Huh?!" He landed and just stopped. He'd never come across someone who could quickly predict his movements. She didn't even move because she knew she didn't have too. He pulled on his pants.
"Hey! How are you doing that? It's like she knows exactly where Mirio is going to be!" Hado said, pointing at Kira. She frantically pat Tamaki on the back. "You see that?! Hey! Are you even watching?!"
"Wow you sure have a lot of energy for a first year. I honestly didn't expect any of you to give me this much of a problem!" Mirio said with a laugh. Kira sighed and shoved her hands in her pockets.
"Let's keep going first year!"
"Nah." Kira said, walking off to the side of the building. Where Aizawa was.
"Huh?!" Mirio said with a frown. "You don't wanna fight?"
"Come on Kira!!" Kirishima yelled, holding his tummy. "You gotta win for us!!!"
"Nuh uh, I don't fight naked people." Kira shrugged. "It's weird. Plus I'll lose anyways."
"She has a point Mirio. Why didn't you change into your hero costume?" Aizawa asked the third year.
"Well I thought it wouldn't take that long! Plus it's kinda uncomfortable."
"I'm uncomfortable." Kira said, pointing at the shirtless man. "Is that even allowed? I feel like him punching children while completely naked violates some type of public indecency law."
"I'm uncomfortable too." Jirou and Uraraka both complained at the same time.
"Alright, no more training. Mirio you've made your point." Aizawa said with a sigh.
"Didn't even think about that when giving him permission. This guy is a lawsuit waiting to happen."
"Aw man! It was just getting good."
