6: 𝐶𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑘
A/N: Little late but I've been having some... personal issues lol... But updating makes me feel better, so don't worry about it!
Kira eyed the man sitting across the room. Glaring as she ate her breakfast.
A reporter known as Tokuda Taneo.
She didn't like him, she didn't really trust anyone involved with the media. She also didn't like random people walking around what was essentially her home.
He kept taking pictures and winking and stuff. Sure Kira knew he really just wanted to find All Might's successor. He had a good gut feeling it was Midoriya already. And it was still eight in the morning.
"What's the deal? Does he have weird thoughts or some shit?" Bakugou asked. Turns out she had been staring enough for him to notice.
"He's just weird. Not in like... A criminal way. I don't know, I just don't like having another person in the dorms." She shook her head and leaned closer towards him. "He's actually here because he thinks he can find out who All Might's successor is." She whispered to him.
Kira was so glad she could finally talk about this with him. She hated keeping it secret. But now he knew for sure, and All Might knew that he knew. So it was okay.
"Really? How'd he figure that shit out?" Bakugou whispered back. Glancing around.
"Same as you. He found a different interpretation of his message." Kira explained. "He's close too."
"You think we should tell them?" Bakugou asked.
"Nah, I doubt he'll actually expose it. Not unless he has some crazy concrete evidence to show." Kira admitted with a shrug.
"So just don't let him in Deku's room then?"
Bakugou thought. Referencing the insane amount of All Might merch the kid had. Bakugou seemed to have calmed down a little more towards Deku.
Though he hadn't entirely forgiven him for what he did, he seemed to understand why he had done it. He was just trying to move on from everything.
He also had no clue that the feelings Deku had confessed to him so long ago... Were still going strong. Kira didn't even know if she should tell him or not.

The teens swiveled around to see the man with a camera pointed at them.
"WHAT THE HELL?! GET THAT JUNK OUT FO MY FACE!!!" Bakugou snapped, ready to curse him out.
"Sorry for interrupting. I just wanted to get some pictures of all of the friend groups in the class. You know, of you guys chatting and stuff." The Tokuda said with a wink.
"WELL DON'T!!! IT'S FUCKING CREEPY!!"
Bakugou yelled with a glare.
"You two partnered up in the sport festival right? You guys make a pretty good team." He said, standing up all the way. "He'll obviously be a good person to get some shots of, after he won the festival and was the leagues target. I want some more of him casually, less of him yelling. If I can't get the scoop on All Might it would be interesting to show the media a different side of this kid. Maybe I should write a full separate article on him."
"OF COURSE WE DO!!! Now mind your own business!!" Bakugou snapped.
"But that might be harder. The girl is... Well a mystery. Wait hold on..."
"You're Kira Kokoa aren't you?" He asked.
She nodded. "That's me."
"I heard you helped capture the hero killer, is that right? Mind if I ask you a few questions about it?" He asked, snapping another picture of just her.
"I thought you were here to write an article on life in the dorms?" Kira said with a small smirk. Clearly hinting that she didn't believe that cover he had.
"What? I can't write two articles at once?" The journalist asked with a smile. He was easy to get along with, charming and charismatic. Just like a reporter.
"I think you should stick to one for now." Kira said with a shrug. "I'm not interested in answering any questions."
"You tell em Kira." Bakugou thought, glancing between the two.
"I completely understand, I guess I'll leave you two too it then." He chuckled. "Just come talk if you change your mind." He said with a wink.
"Guess I'm not getting anywhere with those two. Maybe the son of endeavor will make for an interesting story... Though he doesn't seem to have all that much personality.
"What a weirdo." Bakugou mumbled as he walked away. "I don't like him either."

He followed them around all day, through training and even classes. He was quiet for the most part, the only one that could hear him was Kira.
"Alright guys, bye." Kira said, walking out from the hall. She was going to the police station again. Dressed in casual clothes.
"You going to your work study?" Mina asked her, watching some of the others play a card game.
"Yeah, should be back at around seven." Kira yawned. Tired as always.
"You're not going on foot? Are you?" Shoji asked her in mild concern.
"No my uncle's driving me. Don't worry." Kira said, waving bye to everyone.
"Oh wait." Tokuda said, handing her a card. "I'll be gone by the time you get back. Message me if you change your mind about that interview."
"Sure." Kira shrugged and shoved the card in her pocket. She had no plans to actually call the man. She was glad to be rid of him though.

"All Might! You're here!" Midoriya said awkwardly. He'd just finished the weirdest interaction ever with the journalist man. He was glad that it was interrupted
"Yeah, just got back from dropping Kira off... I brought food." All Might said, holding up a few bags of hot food.
"O-oh nice!" Midoriya said with a smile.
The journalist smiled. "All Might. I was hoping I'd bump into you." He said, putting a hand out. "I'm writing an article on dorm life, but I would love to interview a retired top hero. If you're up to it."
All Might shook his hand with a smile. "Thanks but I've had my fair share of interviews. Especially after my last fight, id like to lay low for a little bit." The old pro answered honestly.
"I suppose that's fine. I'm Tokuda Taneo by the way, a freelance journalist." He introduced after they ceased their hand shaking. "Currently working with Juka News."
"Sounds like a fun profession. I hope the kids have been behaving themselves." All Might asked, nodding at Midoriya.
"H-hey!" The green haired boy said.
"Of course they had. They're good as gold."
The detective winked. "Mind if I at least get a few pictures of you?"
"I don't see why not."

"So All Might doesn't have a protege?" The editor-in-chief crossed her arms. All that work for nothing, she had to get him into the highest security hero school... For an article about dorm life?
"And you have nothing?"
"I didn't say that... No I found something that'll make for the story of a year! Forget about All Might's retirement. Everyone knows about that, I have some exclusive information." Taneo said with a wink.
"Just give me a day to finish the article. I promise you, Juko news will be the most sold newspaper all month."
