Miso hissed.

The cat arched her back as far as she could and backed into a corner. At the door was a person. Miso saw plenty of those, so that wasn't the problem.

The person had short black hair and tired brown eyes. In fact the person looked very familiar. It looked like Kira.

But it wasn't. Miso knew it wasn't. Causing her to hiss and spit at the teen standing across from her. Who tilted her head curiously. "Oh so you're Miso." She mumbled, not that Miso really understood.

The cat slowly backed under the bed.

That person smelled all wrong. Their eyes weren't right. It was uncanny, she looked like Kira in every way. But she definitely was not Kira. Miso felt like whoever this was, she was a danger. She was bad.

Cats were a good judge of character.

The fake Kira hummed and plopped on Kira's bed. Kicking her legs. "This is so boring. What am I supposed to do here all night?" She complained. "I want to talk to Izuku."

Miso stayed under the bed.

The girl smelled kinda like blood, and there was another smell on her. Like a scent rubbed off of someone else. The second one was familiar to Miso, but the young feline couldn't figure out why. Shaking her head and letting out a small sneeze. Stayed tucked behind a few boxes under the bed.

Where it was safe.

That night the uncanny stranger left. Miso was glad about that. The cat moved gracefully from under the bed to the blankets on top. Waiting for her real owner to enter the room.

The cat would hiss and meow all about her traumatic experience to let Kira know there was some type of imposter running around.

But she didn't show. Miso was used to Kira coming in and out at random times in the night. But now something felt off. Kira's smell slowly started to leave the room and Miso started to walk around it. Entertaining herself with her almost empty food bowl and her feathery toys laying about.

When morning came someone burst into the room. Miso jumped up and hissed by default. Glaring at the man who interrupted her calm morning.

She had seen the man before. She knew him as a friend, he was the oldest among the group of humans that lived in this building. Long shaggy hair and eyes that looked like Kira's. He always seemed to be tired.

Miso quit hissing and walked up to his feet. She rubbed them and meowed. Telling him all about how she was hungry and how Kira was gone and probably dead.

He didn't give her much acknowledgement at first with irritated the kitten. He walked through and opened the closet. Looked under the bed and started to go through the things on Kira's desk.

Miso hopped onto of the desk and let out a few frustrated noises. Trying to alert the man to what was important.

Her empty food bowl.

The tired teacher looked down at the cat and put a hand on her head with a long sigh. Miso rubbed against him, her throat making a pleased vibration.

He backed away and walked back to the door. Leaving the room without filling Miso's bowl.

This angered Miso. She wouldn't have bothered with giving him affection if she knew he would just forget to feed her.

Miso was beginning to feel frustrated. As much as a cat could feel frustrated at least. Kira always fed her in the morning. Here morning was and you know what wasn't there?

Food.

But you know what was there?

People.

Lots of people. Unfamiliar men and women walking all around Miso's Territory. All in the tiny room. In fact they picked Miso up dispite her protests and put her in a spare room so they could continue their investigation. WITHOUT food. Which angered the cat greatly.

Miso was supposed to bed fed twice a day. But these bozos didn't seem to understand how high maintenance a cat like her was. She sat in front of the door, staring blankly at it and meowing. Over and over again.

After about an hour of this the door finally opened.

Miso scrambled back and let out a few desperate noises. Hoping to see a full food bowl in the hand of whoever was intruding on her solitude.

But there was none.

She hissed at the blonde man as he stepped in the room with an apparent lack of gifts for her.

She vaguely recognized him. She remembered his smell more than she remembered his face. He came around the buildings fairly often but didn't reside there. She often smelled his scent on Kira, they spent time together.

She stood in the center of the room and let out several long winded complaints.

The man walked in. He had a certain scent on him. He seemed to be very upset. Defeated, guilty.

Miso didn't care as long as he fed her. He sat down and Miso padded up to him. Rubbing against him, trying to convince him she was a good cat and deserved to be fed.

"I know. I miss her too." The man said, he picked her up and hugged her. Miso didn't move, she felt trapped. She was seeking food, not affection. But the man seemed to really need it.

Soon she felt and smelled him crying into her fur. Which wasn't very appreciated by the feline. But she didn't have much option to run away. Besides she understood that he probably needed some sort of companionship. Kira always did.

Miso always was right next to her when she acted like this. Down and sad. When she cried, so Miso was used to being treated as a shoulder to cry on.

Though all that was on her mind was the meals she wanted. Maybe fish. She wanted fish, not that dry stuff. Something fresh. Or at least from a can.

"All Might?"

A man with brown hair walked in. Spoke to the blonde who quickly dried up his tears and stood up.

Leaving Miso behind like a little bitch.

The door was left cracked. Miso woke up from her nap and immediately stretched before walking out of the empty room and into Kira's next door. She looked around and used the litter box. Sniffing all the new and unfamiliar smells left behind by the workers. Even some of Kira's stuff seemed to be missing.

Miso walked out of the room and roamed around. This was the first time she was allowed to wonder the halls of this large building all by herself.

She nudged open doors and scratched at the carpets. All while trying to find something to eat. If she didn't soon she was going to be actually hungry. She hadn't actually been hungry since Kira had taken her off the streets.

She didn't want to be hungry again.

°.•.°•.°•.°

Miso walked into the biggest room in the building. All the way on the bottom floor. Where multiple people sat around eating. Miso set her mind to it. If they weren't gonna feed her...

She would have to find a way to eat one of them.

It made perfect sense in her mind. She walked around and no one seemed to really notice the fact that she was there. She ducked under one of the couches.

"This is weird... I don't want to sound crazy but..."

"You always sound crazy Kaminari."

"Yeah but this just isn't sitting right. Like... We just found out about Mineta and all of the sudden Kira disappears without a word?"

"What are you getting at?"

"Kira leaves a note and runs away. Mineta did the same thing and now he's dead."

"He's right... This is getting serial killerish. I'm scared for Kira. I don't think she would have just left."

Miso creeped forward.

"Right! It doesn't seem like her... Hey how's Bakugou doing?"

"Not great. I haven't seen him much since classes. He's in his room with the door closed. He cursed me out when I tried to come in."

"Aizawa doesn't seem to be doing so great either."

"I see why. None of us seem to be acting like usual."

"Right, it's like- OW!!"

Miso leapt forward and bit at an ankle. Grabbing a leg and holding on with her claws and she knawed at her victim. She wasn't going hungry, not today.

All she tasted was jeans. Which wasn't very appetizing.

"It's Miso!" Hands held Miso and tugged at her.

"SHE'S EATING MY PANTS!!!" Her victim whined. A blonde boy that smelled strongly of cologne.

"Don't be a baby Kaminari!" The person who pulled her away said. Miso was hugged tightly by pink arms. A flurry of color entered her sight and Miso squirmed to get away from it.

"Poor baby misses Kira." She whined in a high pitched voice. Miso meowed to alert them of her hunger. But was too squished to be heard. When the pink girl let go Miso walked away and hopped on the table to gain the high ground. Sitting and cleaning her paws.

Someone came up and gave her head a timid pat. Miso turned and smelled them.

She recognized that smell.

She had caught a faint amount on it from the imposter that had snuck into her room. The human that looked like Kira.

Miso arched her back and hissed at him. The boy had duel colored hair and eyes. He looked at her with a blank face as she continued to hiss.

"Why does it seem like the cat knows what I did?." He thought. Not like Miso could hear him though.

"Looks like she doesn't like you Todoroki."

"Uh oh." Someone picked her up. "She's hungry guys, I don't think she's eaten yet today."

Miso looked up at the new character. He smelled like rabbit and had no hair. But he seemed kind. She understood him better than she did other humans. He understood her too.

"You're probably right Koda! Poor little baby." The pink girl said in the same baby-talk voice.

"I'll take her." Miso looked over. The boy who spoke was one she recognized more than the others. She was very familiar with him. She meowed in agreement.

"Hey Bakubro! I thought you went to sleep!" Another human said as Bakugou took Miso from Koda. Miso rubbed his arms, he always smelled good. Familiar.

"I was going too. But I went to find her." He held up Miso. "She got out of the room."

Miso meowed impatiently. Waiting for food. Bakugou seemed to be more tired than usual. Slower. Sadder. Miso noticed how similar he was acting to the other blonde man.

Miso purred in his arms as he turned and walked away. Leaving the other humans whispering in the big room.

Bakugou put her in a different room. One that smelled a lot like him. With hints of Kira here and there as well. He left and came back again with all of Miso's things. Her litter box and toys and of course...

Her food bowl.

She rushed towards it and stood beside it while he was pouring in the food. Before eating from it like she had gone days without sustenance. Because it felt like she had.

After she finished with her food and walked over to where the boy was laying. On his back in the bed with his hands over his face.

Crying.
