Tanjiro sprang to his feet, heart pounding as the panic set in again.
"Zenitsu! Inosuke!" he called out, rushing across the train. "Wake up! They're still asleep they’re tied to the others with ropes!"
You stood there, blinking at him as he frantically looked around.
“…You just noticed that?” you asked, unimpressed.
He turned to Nezuko. “Nezuko, can you burn down the ropes?!”
“Mhm!” she nodded eagerly, already flames starting to glow from her hands.

Far away in the shadows of the train, Enmu stood still, his expression calm but eyes glowing with cold amusement.
"Hm? Was the dream interrupted?" he wondered aloud. "Did those fools fail? It doesn’t matter... they're nothing but pawns anyway. Their job was to buy me time... and that’s exactly what they did."
Back on the train, as Nezuko worked on burning the ropes, a sudden chill ran down your spine.
You turned a girl appeared behind you, flanked by two others who cornered you. One of Enmu's minions pointed sharply.
“Get up!” she barked. “I’ll tell him, and he won’t give you good dreams anymore!”
The boy who had once been inside Tanjiro’s dream blinked awake behind her. His eyes met yours before dropping to the floor in shame.
‘To think I was so desperate for a dream… that I’d hurt others, just to escape my own illness...’
Tanjiro stepped in front of you protectively, sword drawn.
“I’m sorry,” he said softly. “But I have no choice... I will fight back.”
WHAM!
“UGH—!”
All three minions hit the ground, unconscious before they could even blink.
Tanjiro breathed heavily, then turned to the girl with the green hair and the black-haired boy.
“Are you alright?” he asked gently.
The boy nodded weakly. “I...I-..am now. Be careful.”
You stared at them blankly. ‘Did they forget about me??’
‘Unfortunately, dear.’
‘You shut it!’ you snapped back at the voice in your head.
Tanjiro nodded once, firm. “Thanks. Now, Nezuko, y/n,let’s go.”
You moved with him as he approached the shattered train window.
Tanjiro crouched, hand on the sill. “Nezuko, you stay here. Try to wake everyone else up while Y/nand I go fight the demon.”
Nezuko gave one last look to both of you her eyes filled with silent worry then nodded. “Mhm.”
And she was gone.
The cold air bit at your skin as you landed on the roof of the moving train. Tanjiro landed beside you, blade drawn.
Across from you stood Enmu, arms spread, smile wide and soulless.
“Ah, good morning…” he purred. “What a shame. You two could have stayed asleep forever. Was my dream not… pleasant enough?” His voice dripped venom. “I could’ve given you anything your family alive, a peaceful life. I even considered letting you see them die again… over and over.”
Tanjiro’s grip on his sword tightened.
Then Enmu’s gaze slid to you.
“…But you. You were the mystery. I didn’t understand why my master wanted you alive. Even now… it’s such a shame I couldn’t kill you. Being reincarnated, after all… that’s a miracle.”
Tanjiro froze.
His head turned to you slowly.
“…What is he talking about?” he asked.
You looked down, avoiding his eyes.
“…Y/n?”
Tanjiro’s face shifted from confusion to concern but he turned back to the demon with fire in his eyes.
“You’re not getting away with this!”
He lunged, blade aimed straight for Enmu’s chest.
But the demon’s eyes widened not in fear, but in recognition.
“…Those earrings.”
You stayed frozen, mind spinning, feet planted to the train roof.
‘How am I supposed to explain this? "Hi, I’m from the future, I died once, then woke up in this timeline, and oh, before I got reincarnated into the future I-'
‘Don’t overthink it, dear. Focus on what matters now.’
"Isn't this IMPORTANT?!"
"Yes...but more important are you going to let Tanjiro fight him alone?"
“OH!!SHIT!! I forgot okay, later. I’ll see you later, voice.”
You launched yourself forward, unsheathing your blade.
“Water Breathing: Sixth Form Whirlpool!!”
You twisted mid-air, blade spiraling in a storm of slashing water, sweeping toward Enmu.
Tanjiro’s sword collided with yours as you both struck at once
