𝓒𝓱𝓪𝓹𝓽𝓮𝓻 9: 𝓘𝓽'𝓼 𝓤𝓹 𝓽𝓸 𝓨𝓸𝓾
Shinobu POV:
I cast a worried glance behind me at Giyu. He seemed extremely distressed and shooken by the sight of Himari, which was completely understandable but it was honestly making me very worried.
Giyu looked deadly pale and his eyes were unfocused. I could tell he wasn't focusing on where he was stepping and occasionally a spider would get a hold of him. H'd easily slash the strands broken but the grip on his sword was getting weaker and I worried he wouldn't be able to decipate the demon. As a Hashira, I could definetly kill a Lower Moon, just with a little more trouble than Giyu could.
Suddenly, I spotted a demon up above and I quickly made a 'shush' gesture at Giyu, whom seemed to be dragged back to reality and started avoiding stepping on twigs and branches.
"There," I breathed. A pale white demon with long hair, wearing a kimono and sitting on a rock. She was looking fustrated and had strands connecting out of her fingers.
This was the demon we were looking for.
"This isn't a Twelve Kizuki." I turned around at Giyu's low voice. "Look at her eyes. There may be more demons than just a Lower Moon in this area."
"Ara ara~ If this one is not the one we were sent to kill, let's just finish her off quickly, shall we?"
"It'll be better if we split up. You kill this one and find any more demons. I'll try find the Twelve Kizuki demon. If you see a Twelve Kizuki, alert me immediantly."
"Sure."
Author POV:
Soon, Shinobu had hunted down and killed the mother, sister and brother demon. They were all weaker than a Lower Moon and despite having unique abilities, Shinobu was able to easily poison them.
Giyu had managed to find the father demon and with little trouble but a great exepense of time, decipated it. The fight had dragged on longer than nesscary- Himari's lifeless body kept entering the water pillar's mind and he kept losing concentration.
"Giyu." Shinobu finally found the water pillar, whom had just finished decipating the demon, "I found the Lower Moon."
A/N: The very fact that Shinobu managed to slay the mother, sister and brother demon in the same amount of time that Giyu could only kill the father, shows you just how much he's been mentally impacted by Himari's accident.
