A/N: Reintroducing my OCs Shigeru & Himari (from seperate books) as new Slayers!
Author POV:
Shigeru was a Hinoe ranked Slayer, a sweet and down-to-earth man whom also happened to be Shinobu's long term partner. He was a little obsessed with money and since being a Slayer didn't pay, he worked many part-time jobs to bring in cash. He was a good swordsman but sometimes seemed a little disheartened as a Slayer. However, Shinobu loved him for cute and dopey personality.
Himari was a Kinoe ranked Slayer, the most unbeliveably sweet and innocent girl that perfectly matched with Giyu's colder personality. She brought out the best in him and the two made the perfect pair. They were long-term partners, however lived seperately since Giyu had his estate and Himari still lived with her farmer parents. But that didn't stop the two in their relationship. Himari has long, silky brown hair and wears circle-framed glasses that can be a little inconvinient during battles but frames her face perfectly.
Giyu and Shigeru don't see eye-to-eye, and neither do Shinobu and Himari. Although they avoid head-on arguments, they tend to be very cold to each other. No-one knows for sure why- it's just the mutual disliking between two people- or so they think.
Shinobu loves annoying and teasing Giyu about Himari since she knows it aggravates him immensely.
One day, just before a Hashira meeting, Shinobu decided to amuse herself by maddening Giyu.
"Say, Tomioka-san- I haven't seen Himari for a while. How is she?" Shinobu smiled innocently. Giyu's eyebrows furrowed at the mention of Himari's name.
"Fine." he answered shortly.
He paused and seemed to discontuine his answer, but then decided against it and shot back, "How's Shigeru? I haven't visited the Hinoes in a while."
Giyu purposelly emphasied on 'Hinoes'. He liked to rub it in discreetly that his partner's ranking was much higher than Shinobu's.
"Ara ara~ He's doing well! I suspect he'll be promoted soon!" A vein popped out as Shinobu did her best to remain her smile.
Giyu didn't reply, remaining silent and not looking at Shinobu.
"Don't you know it's impolite to not sustain eye contact while speaking to another, Tomioka-san?" Shinobu remarked.
"You're too ugly for me to look at," Giyu suddenly decided to insult Shinobu, presuming because she had mentioned Himari first.
"How dare you, Tomioka-san." Shinobu smiled, her eyes glittering with fierce malice.
"Did you know I can talk to animals?" Giyu contuined conversationally.
"Ara~ Like I care?"
"I have proof."
"As if."
"I'm talking to you, aren't I?"
