"OH, God." I laughed and looked up. "Seriously, sa labas talaga?"
"What?" He smirked, his green eyes glistening as he brushed my hair and buttoned the dress shirt, his shirt, I was wearing. "You said you loved watching the stars?"
"Yes!" Pinanlakihan ko siya ng mata. "Ano'ng connect?"
"You loved the stars so I will show the stars how much I love you," he mused.
"Hala, kinilig!" Natawa siya sa reaksyon ko at tinusok ang pisngi ko.
"Ang corny mo kamo, Prince Caspian," sikmat ko pero 'di na maitago ang ngiti.
"Corny lang naman ako sa 'yo, Reev," bulong niya at inisang buhat ako.

WHEN I woke up, I'm in the hospital. I sighed and cupped my head.
"Ayos na kayo, Ma'am? Nakita po kayong walang malay sa may labasan. Mabuti po ay may nakakita."
Inangat ko ang tingin sa kanya. "Ayos na. Salamat, Nurse. Sinong nakakita?"
"Si Sir po, boyfriend n'yo raw?"
"Boyfriend?" My forehead creased.
"'Yong gwapo po, may green na mata? Ah! Mr. Alcantara."
My lips parted. "He's here?"
"Opo, siya po ang nakakitang wala po kayong malay at itinakbo kayo rito. Lumabas lang po siya saglit, pumunta po ata ng Chapel."
Nanuyo ang lalamunan ko.
"If you see him, can you ask him to come here?"
"Sige, Ma'am. Check ko lang po muna kayo."
Malalim ang iniisip ko habang abala siya sa ginagawa. I dreamt of Caspian again and this time, a part of me knew it wasn't a fragment of my fantasies of him.
We are more than just friends before. The things he made me feel were no different from now.
We had a relationship before. Was it only just in bed? He couldn't be the father of my child. He just couldn't.
"Reev!" I snapped back from my reverie when he strode closer to me. He looked tired, his eyes filled with worry as he cupped my cheek. "What happened? Are you okay? You fainted!"
I stared at him weakly. "You're worried?"
"Of course!" The crease on his forehead deepened. "You weren't answering my calls. I drove around looking for you! Ano sa tingin mo ang naramdaman ko no'ng nakita kita sa gilid ng daan? Walang malay?"
The desperation in his voice made my heart ache. I realized his eyes were bloodshot, his hair's disheveled, and visibly distraught.
'Di ko na napigilan ang tuluyang panghihina. I sighed.
"C-Cas," tawag ko.
"You should've told me where you are. Para alam ko kung saan ka hahanapin," his voice shook, lowering his head as he held my hand. "Don't do that again, Reev. Don't disappear on me, don't s-scare me like that."
I didn't say anything. Nagulat ako nang maramdaman ang basa sa kamay ko kaya dali-dali ko siyang inabot.
He's crying!
"Caspian..."
"I'm sorry," he chanted and pulled me close. "I-I didn't want to cry. I'm sorry I can't help it. Natatakot lang ako, Reev. H'wag mo na gawin 'yon, n-natatakot ako."
I embraced him as he was trembling. Siguro sa bigat ng mga nalaman ay 'di ko na rin napigilan ang pagluha kasabay siya.
"I won't disappear on you," I whispered weakly. "May importante lang akong pinuntahan."
"What's so important about it that you didn't tell me?" Sinalubong niya ang tingin ko. "Sasamahan kita, Reev. I-I'll drive you around, wherever that is. Just ask."
Hinawi ko ang mga luha ko at humugot ng hininga.
"C-can you help me?" I asked.
His back straightened, alarmed.
"Are you hurt, Polaris?" It was foreign hearing that name from him. His thick brows furrowed as he touched my arm to check. "Did that asshole approached you again? He couldn't do it anymore. He has a restraining order."
Umawang ang labi ko. "R-really?"
He nodded stiffly. "He can't come close to you again, I promise you. What happened? Nalapitan ka ba–"
"N-no..." I shook my head. "No, not him. This hospital, this is where I was confined when I was in coma."
Natigil siya.
"I-I told you about my dreams, right? I was bothered. I wanted to know the truth. I was crying last night because I met the nurse assigned to me back in Casa."
His jaw clenched. He didn't say anything but he's listening attentively.
"She told me the truth my dad didn't even bother telling me. I confirmed it. I was pregnant." Napahawak ako sa tiyan. "And my son... my son..."
When another sob left my lips, he pulled me again for a hug. He cried with me as if my pain resonated with him too.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." He chanted repeatedly.
"It's my fault–"
"No! It wasn't!" He pulled away, his bloodshot eyes seeking mine. "Hindi mo kasalanan, Reev. Hindi."
"Paanong hindi? I was comatose! S-sabi ng doktor, 'y-yong baby ko... 'yong baby ko, Cas, namatay siya kasi may lung infection! It's because my body lack the nutrients he needed! Kumapit ang anak ko, Caspian! I-inantay niya ako pero... wala ako, wala ako no'ng kailangan niya ako! Kasalanan ko!"
He held my hand before I could smack my chest. Paulit-ulit siyang umiling at sa gulat ko'y tumungo siya at inilapit ang mukha sa palad ko, nagpapakumbaba, tila sumasamo.
"Hindi mo kasalanan..." Paulit-ulit niyang sinabi, desperado, umiiling. "Wala kang k-kasalanan. Wala."
I was discharged the same night. Caspian took care of everything. Tahimik kami sa biyahe at pasulyap-sulyap siya sa 'kin, nag-aantay ng kahit anong salita.
Nakarating kami sa Casa Amara Manila nang 'di ako nagsasalita. He was busy calling the front desk for our dinner while I quietly watched him from the bed.
"Uh-hmm, do you have any meals with veggies in it? Yes, that one. Paramihan ng white onion," aniya at lumapit sa 'kin, inipit ang phone sa balikat bago lumuhod sa gilid ng kama at abutin ang sneakers ko.
I was stunned when he slid it off smoothly and carefully lowered my foot back on the floor. Pagkatapos ay binuksan niya ang maleta ko, kumuha ng pantulog ko at habang may kausap ay pumasok sa banyo.
Narinig ko ang lagaslas ng tubig. Sumandal ako sa headboard, nakatulala nang lumitaw siya sa harapan ko.
"I warmed a bath for you," he said gently. "Can I carry you?"
I looked at him in the eyes and nodded weakly.
"Thank you," he breathed and carried me.
He stripped me off my clothes. Ni wala siyang pakialam na nababasa na siya nang ibinaba niya ako sa tub at umawas ang tubig doon.
"Hindi ka papasok bukas," aniya at inabot ang shower head para basain ang buhok ko.
"Hindi p'wede," I mumbled. "Short-staffed–"
"I don't care, Polaris. Gumawa sila ng paraan. You will not risk your health for work. Magpapahinga ka."
I didn't have the strength to argue and I'll be better if I rest so I let it be. I gasped when he spread the shampoo in his palm and massaged my scalp. Napapikit ako.
Napawi no'ng ang bigat at nang matapos siya sa buhok ko ay ang braso ko naman ang sinabunan niya. I watched him.
He was too focused on pampering me, his dress shirt and slacks drenched. Kagaya ko'y bakas din ang pagod sa mga mata niya. I tugged him close.
"Yes, babe?" maamong tanong niya. "Hindi mo ba gusto 'yong amoy–"
"Join me, please," I mumbled.
I watched him strip his clothes off and joined me. Umawas ang tubig nang pumasok siya't naupo sa likuran ko. He pulled me close to his warm chest and I realized how small I was when he's behind me.
Niyakap niya ang baywang ko. Napapikit ako nang hagkan niya ang batok ko bago idinantay ang baba sa balikat ko.
Nahulog ang tingin ko sa isang braso niyang nasa gilid ng tub. I took it and played with the thin hairs in his arms.
"Cas?"
"Yes, babe?" he hummed.
"Have we been intimate before?"
He stiffened. Nilingon ko siya.
"Please, don't lie to me," I pleaded. "I am not mad. You probably had a reason bakit 'di mo sinabing gano'n kalalim ang relasyon natin but please, just tell me."
Inihanda ko na ang sarili kung sakaling hihindi siya kaya nagulat ako nang tumango siya, umaamin.
"Yes..."
"So, we didn't just know each other, then? We had sex–"
"Make love, Polaris Reeva," he retorted. "We made love..."
"It's the same as sex–"
"No, it wasn't," agap niya at humigpit ang yakap sa 'kin. "I admit, yet, we're rough sometimes but–"
"So it wasn't just one time, huh?" Sinulyapan ko siya at nang 'di nag-deny ay natawa ako. "You took my virginity, didn't you?"
He cleared his throat. "Why are we even talking about this, babe?"
"Napanaginipan ko nga, ang kulit?"
"What?" he chuckled. "You're having wet dreams of me, Reev?"
Napatili ako nang kagatin niya ang tainga ko. Sinabuyan ko siya ng tubig at sinubukang umalis pero hinila niya ako pabalik.

"'Di na, 'di na..." Humalakhak siya. "Seryoso na, Reev! Promise!"
Pinirmi niya ako. I glared at him. "I just want to verify the truth. I don't want lies anymore, Cas, okay?"
"Alright... yes, babe. We had sex before, countless times." I tried to shrug the hot sensation swarming my stomach. "I'm your first."
"K-kailan?"
"House party. You invited your friends to your new house–including me. When they left, I helped you clean up. We were both tipsy and flirty. We... you know, kissed and alam mo na, pinagbigyan kita."
I let out a scandalous gasp. Umugong ang tawa niya.
"Ang yabang mo?"
He smirked. "Kidding. Of course, I wanted it. Pero sabik na sabik ka naman talaga no'n–"
"Shh!" Tinakpan ko ang bibig niya. Lumayo siyang tumatawa. "If it's a house party, 'yan ba 'yong sa may balkonahe tayo–"
"Ay, birthday gift ko 'yon, Reev," agap niya. Umawang ang labi ko.
"Seriously?"
"Hmm... birthday sex," he whispered languidly and I smacked his leg when I felt his erection on my back.
"Seriously?"
"Fuck, sorry," he adjusted himself. Nailing ako.
Mas sumandal ako sa kanya at tahimik niyang nilagyan ng bubbles ang dibdib ko bago sapuin ang dibdib ko.
"Ang bastos mo, ano?"
"Hahawak lang, eh," inarte niya. "'Di 'yon bastos, ang bastos kapag sinubo ko."
Nasapo ko ang mukha. Mas natawa siya at niyakap ako.
"I love you, Reev. I'm sorry I didn't tell you our relationship was that deep. I didn't want to force you to remember. I'm sorry,"
Pinakiramdaman ko ang sarili. Komportable ako kay Caspian. Kilala siya ng katawan ko. 'Di ako natatakot sa haplos niya.
"So, we're like casual fuck buddies?" I asked.
"Huh?" I heard the spike in his tone.
"Kasi we're friends before, then we fucked–"
"Make love," he corrected.
"Make love," I quoted. "Fine. Tapos we're like FUBU, right? Kasi we're friends and..."
When he didn't answer, I assumed it's because I'm right.
"There's no way naman kasi na we have a relationship? We have different people in the past. I-I was pregnant. Isa pa, I know you fell in love with the nurse–"
"I want you now," putol niya kaya gulat ko siyang nilingon. His green eyes intensified. "I'm not lying when I said I love you. Let's not talk about her, it's in the past. I want this now, Polaris Reeva. I want us. I want this. I'll fix this."
Fix what?
Nakagat ko ang labi at 'di rin inasahan na lalabas iyon sa labi. "You think I was a slut before?"
"Polaris!" I gasped with the rose of his angry voice. "The fuck are you saying? You are not a slut."
"I don't know." Pumikit ako. "I also dreamt of a man with black eyes, Cas. I couldn't see his face but I remember his eyes. I-I asked you that because I'm wondering if I was playing with boys before? That I'm..."
"You. Are. Not." Humigpit ang hawak niya sa 'kin. "You aren't and will never be. You understand? Ayaw ko nang marinig 'yan galing sa 'yo. Hindi ka gano'n."
"But I still remember a part of my dream where I was crying and thrashing out of the bed, screaming at him. Hitting him," the memory horrified me. Naramdaman ko ang tensyon sa kanya.
"I'm sorry..." He whispered.
"Sorry saan? It's not like you've hurt me," I muttered. "I have the best times in my memories of you, Cas. You aren't the father of my child. There is no way you'd abandon me and your son."
He sighed. "I'm not as great as you thought I was–"
"Why?" I looked at him in the eye. "If you are the father of my child. Would you abandon me and him? Would you let us die like that?"
His lips parted. Naglaro ang iba-iba't 'di mabasang emosyon sa berdeng mga mata niya.
"Would you, Cas?"
"Of course not," he answered weakly and shook his head. "O-of course not. No one deserved that pain, Reev. N-no one should get through that."
It made me smile with relief. "See? You won't do that. K-kung ikaw ang daddy ng baby ko, 'di mo kami hahayaan na gano'n... hindi mo kaya 'yon..."
Caspian finished cleaning me up. Tinuyo niya ang buhok ko ng blower at dinala ako sa mini kitchen habang inaayos ang pagkaing order niya para sa 'min.
He seemed a bit quiet but he's probably just tired. Ang daming nangyari ngayong araw.
"Cas?"
"Yes, babe?" Ipinatong niya ang utensils sa gilid ng plato ko.
"Has your perspective of me changed after knowing I had a son?"
Nangunot ang noo niya at nagtaka sa 'kin.
"How 'bout you? Does your perspective of me change knowing I had a fucked up past, that I'm still a mess, and complicated?"
"No..." I sighed.
"That's the answer to your questions, Reev. No."
"We both have fucked up pasts, I guess?" I sighed.
Fucked up meets fucked up. I guess we're compatible?
We talked about random things while eating to lighten the mood. Ikinwento niya sa 'kin ang ganap niya sa party kanina hanggang sa kaya ko nang pag-usapan ang anak.
I smiled sadly and showed Cas the photo.
"Look at my star, he's very handsome,"
I caught the tremble in Cas' hand when he touched the photo, his eyes wide. "C-can I..."
"Of course." Hinayaan ko siyang kunin 'yon.
"He's little, Reev," he whispered and looked at me, smiling. His eyes are bloodshot and it didn't escape my eye when a tear fell. Dagli niya iyong hinawi. "H-he's like a small bean."
"Uh-hmm... eight months siya no'ng lumabas," I muttered. "S-siguro 'no? Kung 'di ako coma. O kaya kung 'di siya maaga lumabas, malaki na siya ngayon, tumatakbo na."
He strode a step closer and embraced me. Hindi na dapat ako iiyak pero humagulgol siya sa balikat ko kaya 'di ko na rin napaigilan ang sariling maiyak.
"He's one of the stars n-now," I whispered.
"Aries Castor," he said his name under his breath.
For some reason, it made me cry more.
I felt lighter spending the night with him. He distracted me by telling silly and corny stories, we watched movies and strode into the hotel later that night.
I am thankful I've got to meet such an amazing man in my life. More thankful because he loved me, and that he wasn't the father of my child who abandoned us. Who didn't look for us!
Hinding-hindi ko matatanggap kung siya.

"MIMI! Tito!" My smile widened when I saw Sirius jumping up and down at the sight of us, clapping and hopping closer.
Inabot ko siya at binuhat. "How's my sweet little pea?"
"Great! Mimi, I'm a good boy!" He exclaimed, his green eyes glistening.
"Come here little star, Mimi is tired. Karga ka sa 'kin." Napabaling ang batang maliit kay Caspian at ngumisi.
"Pangit!" He exclaimed. I chuckled, sumimangot naman si Caspian at kinuha ang maliit sa akin bago pinanggigilan ang pisngi nito.
Riu giggled when Cas tickled him.
"Miss you, baby," he cooed.
"Hmp! Iwan mo 'ko! Sama 'kaw kay Mimi!" He exclaimed.
Caspian pouted cutely. "Baby, Tito has to work, para may pambili kang toys. Sorry na, may pasalubong ako sa 'yon?"
"What 'yon po?" Tumaas ang kilay nito.
"You said you want car toys, right? I bought you toys, Riu, then some Legos," suhol niya sa bata.
Riu's green eyes brightened.
"Yes. Pa-kiss nga si Tito!" Caspian kissed his cheeks dearly, nanliliit ang mata sa ngiti, bakas ang saya sa berdeng mata.
Looking at them happy together gave me relief and happiness. They looked so happy when together.
"Para kayong mag-ama," I commented out of nowhere.
Two pairs of green identical eyes glanced up at me. Sirius only blinked adorably, batting his long eyelashes while Caspian was stunned. Sumulyap siya kay Riu, mukhang may malalim na iniisip na naman.
I spent the whole day with the two boys, just watching, playing, and eating.
We spent our day together, us, me, Caspian, and Sirius. We watched animations with Riu and Caspian ordered food for us.
The next day, unfortunately, Amy had to leave for her mother's unexpected death. We were all shocked and of course, I knew how hard it was to lose something dear to you so I let her have some time off–longer than a week if she wanted.
And now, my problem is, who will babysit my sweet star?
Nakaupo kami ni Riu sa sofa at nagtititigan. I wanted so bad to bring him in the hospital with me kaso ay sino naman ang mag-aasikaso sa kanya? Hindi rin naman safe do'n at may mga sakit.
"Paano tayo, baby? Who will babysit you while Mimi is at work?" Marahang sabi ko, hinahaplos ang buhok ni Sirius na nakatitig sa akin, bilugan ang mata.
"Pangit," aniya.
"Tito Caspian has work, baby, and don't call him that. Sinabihan na kita, 'di ba?"
"Sowi..." He pouted. "I want Pangit, Mimi."
"Hahanap tayo ng paraan, baby, okay?" Hinaplos ko ang noo niya.
The doorbell rang, hinawakan ko ang kamay ni Riu at sabay kaming lumabas para pagbuksan.
The fresh-looking Caspian came into view with his gray body shirt and jeans. He smiled handsomely, he tilted my chin to give me a quick kiss.
"Morning, Reev,"
"Morning..."
"Bad! No kiss Mimi!" he scoffed.
"Uy, pre!" Bati ni Cas nang makita si Riu, nag-apir silang dalawa. Nagpabuhat ang maliit sa kanya.
"Tito, bantay mo ako!" he requested. Nagtatakang napasulyap siya sa 'kin."
"Ali had an emergency at home. Pasensya na, balak ko sanang dalhin sa ospital na lang itong maliit–"
"No, I'll take care of him," presinta niya, 'di man lang nag-isip.
"Yayyy!" Riu chanted.
"Seryoso? May trabaho ka!"
"So do you." He smiled. "Don't worry, babe, okay lang kami rito ni Riu. 'Di ba kulit? Laro tayo kasama si Caspian, the dog?"
"Dog!" Turo niya sa pintuan nang lumapit ang tumatakbong aso.
Nakaupo si Caspian sa sofa habang kalong si Riu. Ang aso ko naman ay nakasiksik rin sa dalawa, ang ulo ay nasa hita ni Caspian, nagpapahaplos.
I sat on the other sofa, napasulyap sa akin si Caspian habang hila ni Riu ang buhok niya.
"Kumain ka na?"
"Sirius and Caspian." I pointed the dog. "Already ate, pinakain ko kanina, ako siguro sa ospital–"
"Hard-headed,"
"Huh?"
"Come here, hold Sirius. Magluluto ako ng pagkain mong makulit ka." Simangot niya at naguguluhang kinarga ko si Sirius.
He glared at me, tumalikod siya at nagdadabog na pumasok sa kusina habang bumubulong-bulong. Nakagat ko ang labi ko at napangiti.
Caspian took care Riu and my dog while I was out. Hanggang ten ng gabi ang duty ko sa ospital kaya sobrang late na ako makakauwi.
I was walking out of the hospital to wait for a cab when a car stopped in front of me. My forehead creased, umalis ako sa tapat no'n pero sumunod kaya nagtaka ako.
I was startled when someone got out of the car. It was a tall and handsome man, huli ko na lang din napansin na berde rin ang mga mata niya.
"Uhm, Polaris?" He asked, his voice baritone.
"Yes?" Tumikhim ako at pumormal.
"Uh, I'm Warrion." Inilahad niya ang kamay at naguguluhan man ay tinanggap ko ang kamay niya.
Napaisip ako at namilog ang mata nang may matanto.
"Warrion? 'Yong Waze?" I asked. His mouth parted and closed again, nailing at nagmura bigla.
"Tang ina nito ni Kuya, hayop," he cursed under his breath.
Natawa ako. "I knew it was weird. Dito ka ba dinala ng direction mo?"
Nangunot ang noo niya, 'di ata na-gets ang joke ko kaya nailing. "Napadaan ka?"
"Kuya Caspian asked me to fetch you here since it's late."
"Kuya? Caspian? Magkapatid kayo?!" Nanlaki ang mata ko. He chuckled and nodded.
"Yeah, you're still adorable, Polaris. Kaya patay na patay 'yon."
"Kilala mo ako?!" I blurted. His lip twitched.
"Yes, Kuya talks about you a lot. Kulang na lang magdikit ng picture mo sa noo niya,"
"Gano'n ba..." Napaisip ako at bumaling sa sasakyan niya. "Well, thank you for the offer pero kasi walang nasabi si Cas na may susundo sa 'kin? I can't ride with you. You look like I can trust you. I mean..." Pinasadahan ko siya ng tingin. "Pero stranger danger?"
"I understand." He smiled a little. "Maybe you can check your phone? Baka may text si Kuya?"
And it was right. However, Caspian sent a video message.
I played it and saw Caspian's handsome face on camera. Nasa kitchen siya.
"Sorry, babe. I asked my brother to fetch you there since it's late–" Nagulat ako nang biglang lumitaw si Sirius sa screen at sumigaw.
"Mimi!" He screamed.
"Wait, baby, kausapin ko si Mimi–"
"No!" Nanlaki ang mata ko ng hilahin ni Sirius ang buhok ni Caspian at napasigaw pa ang huli.
"No! Aww, Sirius! Isa!" tawag niya. Sirius laughed heartily.
"Babe, Warrion and pangalan–" Biglang kinuha ni Sirius ang phone sa kamay ni Caspian at hinagis kaya nawala sila video.
"Sirius!" Caspian's called out and I heard Riu's loud laugh with the dog's bark bago naputol ang video.
Wow. Sumulyap ako kay Warrion. He showed me his identification card.
"For proof?"
"Thank you..." I appreciated it. Pinagbuksan niya ako ng kotse kaya 'di ko naiwasang mapatitig.
This cost millions!
"Sorry for asking but can I ask whose car was this?"
"Uh, 'yan 'yong sa... ano, pang-Grab naman ni Kuya."
He's driving in Grab, too?!
"Ang sipag ng Kuya mo, ah? Daming sideline?"
"Literal," he muttered. "Please be patient with him. Not that I'm bashing him pero may saltik 'yon madalas."
I already knew it so I had no negative reaction.
Mabilis kaming nakauwi sa bahay pero parang literal na napaatras nang paglabas ko'y bumungad si Wave Nievarez sa gate!
"W-Wave?!" My eyes widened.
"Hello, Lars," he greeted. "Caspian asked me to bring him some clothes so..."
"Hello..." Kumaway ako at naglakad. Sumunod iyong dalawang matangkad na pogi bago ako sinalubong ni Caspian, the dog.
I greeted my dog and walked with him while Caspian's exhausted voice echoed.
"Riu! Come on, Mimi will be back! Sleep na tayo!"
"No! Habol muna!" Riu chanted, giggling. Narinig ko ang yapak ng takbuhan nila. Nangunot ang noo ko.
"Sirius, baby, come on, pampam na tayo!"
"Ayaw! Huli muna!"
Pagpasok ko ay naabutan kong saktong mahuhuli na sana ni Caspian ang tumatakbong si Sirius pero napatid siya kaya nadapa sa sahig.
"Boo! Dapa siya!" Sirius laughed out loud. Tatalon-talon pa siya roon at napailing ako nang napaungol si Caspian at tumayo mula sa pagkakadapa sa sahig habang hawak ang balakang niya.
"Pre! Tara! Papagalitan tayong dalawa!" He grunted, trying to chase him off while holding his waist, stopping when he saw me.
Pagkaalis nina Wave at Warrion ay inasikaso ko si Riu pero kinuha siya ni Cas at siya na raw, unahin ko muna ang sarili ko. Maglinis, kumain, siya daw muna sa bulilit na akala mo'y 'di niya kasama buong araw.
I am thankful for it. I asked if he's really sleeping over at may traveling bag siya sa couch.
