Kilian got quite the earful from his Aunt and his Uncle after the incident, and Yuri made him do push-ups as punishment while y/n was freaking out over the whole ordeal.
For someone who got into fights so often, y/n had quite the negative reaction to the whole situation.
However...
"Young Master Kilian..."
The little boy blinked, looking up with curious eyes as Elena carefully wrapped his hands with bandages after resting an ice packs on his knuckles for a little bit.
He inhaled sharply when the woman's careful gaze met his, "I have one question, about that fight."
Kilian gulped, 'Could it even be called a fight?'
Elena finished wrapping up each of the boy's hands with a satisfied look before tilting her head.
"Did you win?"
...
'HUHHH?!!! D-DID I WIN?!' Kilian thought in disbelief, "Err, well, it wasn't really a fight. All I did was slip, and I fell on him."
"You... slipped and hit him in the face?" Elena echoed with a curious look, and Kilian nodded hastily, "Kilian..."
"Hm?"
"You hit the kid in the face, and you bruised your knuckles." Elena stated, "You can't just slip and do that."
"One of my fists hit the floor, it's the truth!" Kilian said frantically, eyes wide, "I noticed his head was gonna hit one of the tables, so I tried to grab him, but my other hand hit the table and he got hit in the face!"
Elena frowned before blinking, "Huh, it's the truth."
"You could tell...?"
"I kinda have to. I'm an assa— uh, assistant investigator."
Elena looked away quickly when Kilian gave her a puzzled look, "An assistant investigator for...?"
"...murders."
"Huh?"
Kilian had plenty of time to think throughout the day as he studied, and Elena took care of things throughout the house.
He had a number of things to think about, but the first on his list was that dude he saw on the rooftop. Kilian figured he was just some creep at first, but that didn't explain why he was following Anya around all day.
It was after a long few minutes that the little boy dropped his pencil, putting a momentary pause on his homework.
What if... that dude creeping around Anya because those damned scientists were after after her again?
Oh. Oh dear, that wasn't good.
Should he tell y/n? No, she'd have questions. Lots.
And Kilian didn't feel like answering them.
Expertly manipulate Yuri into tracking down them inhumane scientists and getting the SSS to take them down? Nah, way too risky.
Ask Oleander? No.
Ask Elena veryyyy subtly...?
Kilian glanced at Elena who had just finished cleaning up the kitchen, the woman humming to herself.
Yeah, no.
Kilian waved the thought away, 'Not right now, I need to finish my homework. I've got tests coming up soon.'
In an attempt to distract himself from his panicked thoughts, Kilian proceeded to run through every single bit of homework he had, and then some.
Elena had to usher him to bed, and he laid awake even after the woman had tucked him in and left the house.
Yuri got home late, he was mumbling something about his sister getting married, and y/n got home even later. She entered Kilian's room at one point at sat on his bed, silently rubbing the little boy's back.
It was only then that he fell asleep, but not after hearing the beginning of a conversation between his Aunt and her husband. Something about... visiting a lady called Yor? Meh, Kilian didn't know.
He was ready to sleep.
Damn, did he wish he stayed asleep.
The next day at school, Kilian couldn't even get into the classroom before he was SWARMED by a bunch of girls he didn't even know!!! Sure, he'd seen them in his class and learned to avoid him, but he literally had no clue who they were!!!
"Kilian! Are you okay?" one questioned as the little boy flinched away in alarm, "I heard about what happened?"
"Look! He's wearing bandages!" another gasped and Kilian failed to jump back in time before one of the girls could grab his arm.
Oh no.
"His knuckles are hurt!"
Ohhh no.
"We've gotta take him to the Nurse!"
OH HELL NO.
Human interaction??? NOPE!!!
Kilian pulled his arm out of the girl's grasp and ran off with a, "I'VE GOT SOMETHING I NEED TO DO, GOTTA GO!!!"
"Do you have to go to the bathroom?" one of the girls called as they all ran after him, "We'll go with you!"
"The heck?! No!!!"
The little boy ran down the hall screaming with a crowd of girls following him, kid was running for his life.
In his desperation, he skidded into the first room he found and slammed the door behind him. He pressed himself against the door, breathing heavily as he listened to the crowd of crazy first graders run past the classroom, before letting out a breath of relief when their footsteps faded.
Ah... finally, peace.
"Hey! Hey, you!"
Kilian jumped, and looked around the classroom in alarm. There was someone already there?!
When he scanned the room, he didn't find anyone.
So... where was the voice coming from?
"Over here, kid! On the teacher's desk!"
Kilian glanced in the direction of the teacher's desk, and tilted his head at the sight of a little Venus Flytrap just chilling there. He walked over to it cautiously, and his gaze fell upon a little name tag in front of it.
"Diona...?" he mumbled with furrowed brows.
"That's me! Diona!" the voice declared and the little boy gasped, stumbling back in shock, "Why so scared, little boy, I won't bite you! I'm a good plant!"
"You... you can talk..." Kilian whispered, "How?"
"Simple? MY DEAD 🍑 IS POSSESSING THIS DAMN PLANT, BOO." the voice paused to cough a couple of times, "Ahem, anyways, my name is Diona. These lil ugly kids at this stank 🍑 school like to call me the All Knowing Venus Fly Trap. I can tell you aaaaaaanything you wish to know. For a price, of course."
"Anything?" Kilian echoed.
"Anything."
The boy thought for a long moment, 'A ghost, huh? I can't be skeptical, really, Anya is literally a Telepath.'
"There was a man on the roof of a school the other day. He was watching Anya, and I could've sworn that he popped up in multiple places..." Kilian mumbled, "Who is he? I want to know everything about him."
A long moment of silence.
"Everything?" Diona inquired.
"Everything." Kilian confirmed.
"Very well, little boy, I'll give you the information you seek. However, I require my payment first." Diona hummed, "Do you still want this information?"
Kilian shrugged, "I guess."
"Hm, fine, today's price is 69 dalc!"
"Deal."
"Ah, ah, ah, ♀🐶, I ain't finished!" the plant snapped, "I also want a caviar bowl from the cafeteria in addition to a lovely glass of white wine to go with it. You can find a bottle of it in the lowermost drawer of Mr. Swan's desk in his classroom."
...
Kilian raised a brow, "Is that all?"
The little fly trap seemed to bob its head, "Mhm! I'd like my payment by lunchtime, please and thank you."
"I'll make it happen." Kilian said dismissively before heading for the door again, a tired look on his face.
"Oh, and little boy!" the plant called.
The young boy paused with a soft hum.
"Don't take the direct path to class, you'll run into those little girls again. And don't worry about being late, your math teacher will be five minutes late. He's getting that his soul sucked out of him in a storage closet by the history teacher right about now." the Venus fly trap added, "If you know what I mean."
Kilian blinked, "I... really don't."
"Damn, okay. Run along then."
Kilian headed off to class, following Diona's instructions, and made it to class just in time. Right before the bell rang. Even after that, their teacher wasn't there.
"Woah... so the rumors were true!" Becky gasped as Kilian struggled to retrieve his notebook and pencil from his bag, "You did get into a fight with Damian! Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Kilian replied curtly as he grimaced against the persistent pain in his knuckles, 'Ow... I really should apologize to him and clear up the situation.'
Initially, Kilian had intentions of teaching that brat a lesson. However, he decided against it. He only planned on going over to Anya and moving her elsewhere so she could calm down and stop crying, but he slipped in his haste.
He slammed into Damian, took the poor kid down, and both of them ended up getting hurt.
The other kids came to the conclusion that it was a fight, and that was how both of the little boys ended up with cleaning duty at the end of the day.
Kilian doubted he'd be of much help, especially since his fists were still bothering him, but figured he could take the time to apologize to his classmate.
'There's still a few hours until then, and my hands are killing me... maybe I should've taken up Auntie's offer on those pain killers...'
Anya stared at her friend for a long moment before taking his bag from him with a, "Here, let Anya help! So you don't hurt your hands!"
Kilian looked like he wanted to protest, but stayed quiet and allowed the little girl to grab the stuff he needed.
"Anya will write your notes for you too!"
"Now that isn't necessary..."
Five minutes later, their teacher finally decided to show up. All out of breath and 💩, EVEN A BUNCH OF SIX YEAR OLDS WERE BETTER AT BEING ON TIME THAN HE WAS!
Ahem.
Kilian did note that Diona had been correct about the whole five minutes late thing, but the man didn't even look like he'd had his soul sucked out of him. He actually looked pretty lively, albeit a little frazzled.
"Oh, before I forget..." Kilian took a piece of paper filled with notes and passed it to Anya, "These are for you. Use them today in class, alright. They should help you understand fractions better."
Anya accepted the paper and gasped, "Bondman!"
"Bondman?" Becky echoed before peering at the paper, "Huh, it looks like a comic... but these notes are pretty good."
Kilian, in his panicked state, had busied himself with writing some notes for Anya so she could actually learn stuff. He remembered her liking the show "Spy Wars". He knew the comic books, there'd once been a time where he tried reading them, so he did his best to throw together notes that would be both entertaining and informative enough.
From the looks of it...
'It's working.' Kilian thought as Becky curiously peered at the notes while Anya eagerly read it.
"You're really good at drawing, Kilian!" Becky exclaimed, "You could be a super good artist!"
The boy's cheeks heated up and he turned away with a small huff, "I'm not that good, but... thanks."
"Say, do you think you can draw a picture of Vincent from Berlint in Love?" Becky asked and Kilian scowled.
"Don't push it, Becky."
Class continued on, business as usual, and Kilian was pondering over the unknown meaning of "getting one's soul sucked" while Class dragged on.
Eventually, the teacher drew an equation on the board before asking, "Anya Forger, what's the answer tot his question?"
Anya looked up from the page of notes before standing with a confident smile, "Three thirds!"
Becky stared at her with wide eyes.
Damian looked shocked.
Kilian let out a groan and let his head slam against the desk with a loud thud, 'It was one sixth, Anyaaaa...'
"That... is incorrect in every way possible." the math teacher stated and Anya deadpanned, "Anyone else?"

"Any results?"
"Mhm."
Y/n was busying herself with looking through some files as Laurence stood across from her with furrowed brows as he observed his paper.
"Aurel wasn't the one who made the poison, it was that bastard we handed over to the SSS a few months ago." Laurence replied simply before looking up, "Good news, though. We've got two more people to hunt down."
"The rat, and the bastard who planned Achille's death." y/n murmured, her grip on a piece of paper tightening ever so slightly.
"The rat who gave Achille the poison managed to fly under our radar, but she couldn't slip past the Gretchers." Laurence continued, "You remember Olka Gretcher, right? One of her older brothers has agreed to meet with you in around a month. Are you good for the first Saturday?"
"Saturday is fine." y/n agreed with a little nod.
Laurence regarded the woman for a long moment before clearing his throat, "How is Kilian doing after the fight?"
"He seems busy. Very busy." y/n admitted with a little frown, "I asked him about the fight, and he kind of just... apologized. Just this morning, Elena told me that Kilian said it was all an accident."
"Well, that's good, isn't it?"
"No..."
Y/n wore a sad look, setting down the paper as she began to fidget with the ring she wore, "Kilian didn't feel comfortable enough to tell me that it was an accident. I've been thinking about it, and I wondered if he was too scared to tell me because he thought I'd be angry with him."
"Mm..." Laurence thought for a long moment, "Have you been spending much time with him recently?"
"Not as much as I used to..." y/n mumbled, "Things have been so chaotic recently, so I haven't had as much time."
Laurence let out a laugh, "Well, that explains it! Kilian is a considerate kid, so he may have avoided telling you so you wouldn't worry. He knows how hard you work, and how stressed you can get, so I imagine he didn't want to add to that stress."
"Wh-? Why didn't he-?"
"He's a kid, y/n. Why don't you take some time off and spend time with him?" Laurence advised, "I'll handle everything for the next week or so, and you stay with Kilian. Sound good?"
Y/n pondered for a long moment before nodding.
The young man smiled, "Very good. It's about time you took a break, don't you think?"
The h/c haired woman's lips quirked up a little.
"I think you may be correct."
Y/n proceeded on home afterwards, and found that Elena was still there. The lady departed hastily, she had some certain business to attend to, so y/n and Kilian were left by themselves.
"You're home early..." Kilian mumbled as he wrote something down with furrowed brows, and y/n felt a stab of guilt.
It was nine, and her nephew thought she was early...!
Ugh, it hurt!
"Laurence is taking care of things for me right about now, so I'll be home with you for the next week or so!" y/n chirped as she headed for the kitchen, missing the way Kilian perked up with a look of delight, "What do you want to eat for dinner?"
He opened his mouth to reply, then recalled his situation before settling down again with a quiet, "I'm not very hungry right now... I'll pass on dinner."
Y/n gave her nephew a look of horror as he kept writing, 'H...He's not hungry??? Did something happen at school? He's so quiet! Should I ask? But maybe he won't want to talk to me-!'
As y/n was frantically trying to figure out what to do, Kilian was trying to process the information he received today.
After stealing some of Mr. Swan's white wine, buying a caviar bowl, and serving it to Diona with an extra 69 dalc as payment, the Venus Fly Trap got to talking.
"Loid Forger, age estimated to be within his late 20s, parents both dead as hell, all of his childhood friends are dead as hell, he was a former soldier of the Westalis Army under the name of Roland Spoofy, and now he works for WISE as a spy under the name Twilight." Diona began after devouring the white wine, caviar bowl, and dalc in a way which left Kilian shocked, "He's currently here in Ostania for a mission. Operation Strix. He is currently in a false marriage with Yor Forger, an assassin. Loid, or Twilight's, goal is to get close to Donovan Desmond, which requires his adopted daughter Anya Forger to receive eight Stella stars and become an Imperial Scholar."
"So... he's a spy? What was he doing here creeping around?" Kilian demanded and the plant sighed.
"His goal was to get Anya to apologize to Damian Desmond." Diona replied, "I guess it worked. The little bum 🍑 kid is crushing on Anya now, so mission success I guess. Too bad the kid keeps denying his feelings and Anya isn't smart enough to exploit the fact that the kid caught the feels for her."
"Hey!" Kilian snapped.
"Be real careful though, little boy, if you get wrapped up their mess, you or someone you love is guaranteed to get hurt." Diona added, "Anything else you want to know?"
Kilian thought for a long moment, and an idea came to mind. He really wanted to ask. He had the chance ask!
He could ask, and learn the truth.
But... who would believe him if he tried to share it?
"No, nothing." Kilian said with a shake of his head, "That's all for now. Thanks for your help."
"No problem. And do pay me a visit sometime! If you do, I'll give you free info that you may find a use for!" the plant shouted after him as he left the room.
'So her Dad is a spy, and her Mom is an assassin.' Kilian thought as y/n miserably began to clean the dishes, 'Knowing Anya, she's got something to do with this. Ugh... this is exhausting...'
All of a sudden, Yuri entered the house in a hurry with a, "Y/n! Kilian! We're going out tonight!"
"Huh? Why?" y/n questioned as her husband practically snatched up Kilian by the back of his clothes and y/n by her hand, "Where are we going?"
"To visit my big sister! She got married!"
"You didn't say that was tonight!!!"
"Hey, old man, I've got homework to do!"
In the end, Kilian and y/n were dragged along anyways. As the three of them were making their way towards this mystery sister's residence, Kilian felt an awful feeling of doom.
He didn't like that feeling.
Why was he feeling so tired all of a sudden.
When they got to their destination, he understood.
Yuri and y/n were smiling when the door to this mystery sister's home was opened to them, revealing Loid Forger and who Kilian guessed was Yor.
Loid spotted Kilian, and his smile faltered just briefly enough for Kilian to catch some shock and horror on his face.
Kilian gave him a look which one would give a giant cockroach, 'You've gotta be kidding me right now...'
