(AAAA WHY WONT THE EDITS GO THROUGH)
In the waking world, the train was completely fused with the demon they were fighting.
Tanjiro and Inosuke were headed for the front, Zenitsu and Nezuko were protecting a couple of cars and y/n...
Y/n was still asleep with Rengoku there trying to protect her along with the other passengers.
He wasn't sure why tf y/n was still out but he was hoping she'd wake tf up soon because he was genuinely worried now.
"*loud ass wheezing* THE 🚚-"
Ahhh, now she's awake!
Y/n gripped her throat with a hand, eyes screwed shut beneath her mask which Nezuko had placed back upon her face, as she came to her senses.
Now she knew how demons felt—
"Y/n!" Rengoku exclaimed with that gorgeous smile of his, even with the train being fused with a 🚚ing demon, "How was your nap?"
Y/n's cheeks warmed with embarrassment as she hopped to her feet and unsheathed her blade, "💩, sorry...!"
She stood with her back to the Flame Hashira's, preparing to help protect the people on the train.
"It's alright, what matters is that you're awake now!" Rengoku assured her, "I assume you already know what we need to do?"
"Uh-huh."
"Good!"
And with that the duo went off in opposite directions in a blur. Mfs had their speed stats maxed out and 💩...
Meanwhile, Tanjiro and Inosuke were up front throwing hands with the nasty 🍑 meaty tentacles that were guarding the neck bone.
Oh yeah, and Enmu! The Lower Moon.
He'd be shitting his pants if he had any.
Y/n had awoken.
And she was cutting up those nasty 🍑 tentacles like they were butter.
'I should take care of that Demon Slayer with the mask first...' The Enmu decided, just casually ramping up the amount of flesh shit in the car y/n was currently in.
As the others were fighting, Nezuko noticed a bit of a ripple going through the flesh that engulfed each of the train cars.
Heading towards the one y/n was in.
'...well 💩.'
Rengoku noticed too but couldn't quite do anything at the moment, he was trying to prevent these damn nasty meaty things from clapping the passengers' cheeks.
So y/n was on her own rn.
Y/n's eyes widened beneath her mask as she realized just how screwed she was. It was a little difficult not to notice that the amount of tentacles in the 🚚ing car were increasing.
The demon was focusing on her...
Her!
Why?
One form after another, Wind Breathing. Wind Breathing. Wind Breathing. Spamming spamming spamming.
She wasn't exactly used to having so many people she was meant to protect all at once while fighting.
The young Demon Slayer gasped, leaping out of the way to avoid being grabbed by a nasty meaty tentacle thing.
She was backed up against the door to the next car, the only space that wasn't covered in the nasty meaty stuff.
The car was engulfed in the nasty stuff in seconds, hands of all sizes reaching for y/n with the intention to crush her and devour her.
'Im glad that the passengers aren't the target anymore, but..' y/n swallowed hard, grip tightening on her blade.
Her mind was running a mile a minute as the many hands reached for her, the windows and seats now completely covered by that nasty stuff, ew...
She couldn't think of any form in Wind Breathing that could possibly save her. Not one she could execute in the position she'd put herself in. Dumb 💩.
There was one that could cut down on the number of fleshy hands going after her but y/n always found it difficult to swing after using it since she was still learning that particular technique.
'Think, y/n... think...!'
Ah, 💩, main character moment.

"W-Wait! Give me a moment, I need to rest-!" y/n shouted, eyes wide as she held up her blade to defend herself, struggling to keep up with her teacher's flurry of attacks.
"Rest... your opponent would never gift you with such a privilege in the midst of a battle..." the man said simply before slashing once more, this time knocking his student back.
Y/n yelped as she tumbled, her back hitting a tree, but was quick to grab her blade and scramble out of the way just before she could be sliced in half along with the tree.
"This is hopeless, I'm not as strong as you! How can you expect me to land a hit on you?" y/n cried, "You're faster, stronger, far more experienced, you can see things I can't and you're-"
Y/n cut herself off, her blade clashing with her teacher's as he cleared the distance between the two of them in an instant.
The h/c haired girl was on the verge of tears, struggling to push back against her teacher while he seemed relaxed.
"Quit listing the things you have yet to master. You've learned all the forms of my breathing style... despite your disadvantages." her teacher pointed out, "Training ends when you land a hit on me, the sun comes up, or I kill you."
Y/n swallowed hard, tears welling up in her e/c eyes, "F-Fine! Kill me! It'll make no difference! My life has no purpose!"
There was a pause before the pressure on y/n's blade disappeared, her teacher pulling back to look down at her.
The girl tensed when her teacher fixed her with a cold, unblinking stare.
"The purpose of this type of taining is to get you to tap into your survival instincts..." he murmured, "But it seems as though the death of your younger brother... has really just left you void of all concern for your own life."
Y/n could only inhale a shaky breath.
"When death is right around the corner... your brain may run through every single memory of yours to find a way out of the situation..." he continued, "That's the purpose of this training. For this memory to be of use to you someday. And... of course so that you'll get stronger."
The man heaved a sigh the noise causing a shiver to go down y/n's spine. He always sighed when he was about to do some felon type 💩 that made the training ten times harder than it had to be.
"But... since your own life holds no value to you anymore..." he began, pointing past y/n and prompting her to look too, "If you manage to land a hit on me, training ends as it always does... same with the sun rising."
Y/n stared at the village with a blank, wary expression as it clicked in her mind before her teacher could say anything.
"But if you collapse from exhaustion before either of these things happen... I'll kill every single person in that village down there."
Y/n looked back at her teacher in horror.
"Wait, you-!" y/n tried to say but was interrupted by the clashing off blades again.
"Break time is over..." he said simply as y/n forced her sore arms to keep up with his insanely quick attacks, "You'll thank me later... if you don't die, of course."
As y/n fought back against exhaustion, forcing herself to keep up, the only thing she could hear was her Master's voice.
"Soon... you'll be able to see what I can see, y/n. Even if it's only for a moment..."

Y/n's brows furrowed, 'Seriously?'
She adjusted her stance calming her breathing as the many hands closed in on her, ready to rip her to pieces.
Y/n closed her eyes, '🚚 it, I guess.'
Total Concentration, Moon Breathing
Y/n tightened her grip on her blade as she carefully thought out her actions, letting play out in her mind.
Sixth Form
She nodded.
OK
Perpetual Night, Lonely Moon - Incessant
As the weird 🍑 tentacles reached for y/n, surging forward, she met them with a barrage of slashes which seemed to layer over on another.
With each tentacle sent her way came a slash that chopped it up into small bits.
And another.
And another.
And another.
There seemed to be no end to her vicious yet graceful attacks which cut down the tentacles with ease.
She cut again.
And again.
And again.
And again.
Until the few remaining tentacles recoiled, the demon seeming to realize that this wasn't the best time to target y/n.
The flesh covering the car seemed to ripple as it moved outwards towards the other cars, the few remaining tentacles reaching for y/n again.
She prepared to attack again but winced, realizing how terribly the sudden shift from one breathing technique to the other would impact her.
"Don't hesitate, y/n!"
The h/c haired girl flinched, recognizing that voice. That bright, energized voice she'd always missed.
Just past the nasty nasty tentacle 💩, she spotted the faint form of her Father. Oh god, was she dying? Y/n thought you'd only see dead people if you were dying!
He adorned a determined expression, deep red eyes alight with encouragement.
He nodded, "You know what to do!"
Y/n stared at him in awe, eyes beginning to well up with tears behind her mask before she shifted her stance.
"Okay... I know.."
Moon Breathing, Tenth Form
Y/n raised her blade, e/c eyes flashimg behind her mask before she cut downwards forcefully, slicing up the three nasty 🍑 tentacles heading her way.
Drilling Slashes
Moon Through Bamboo Leaves
She didn't stop her movements, pushing herself forwards and barelling through two doors before tumbling into the next car, skidding to a halt behind Rengoku with her back to his.
"You okay?" Rengoku asked without looked at the masked Demon Slayer.
"Hah... just... fine... hah..." She replied, panting as she changed the pattern of her breathing to fit Wind Breathing instead.
This would hurt later.
A lot.
Rengoku only nodded, "Good."
And with that, the duo pushed off in opposite directions once more, cutting down pieces of the demon which had merged with the train as they went.
'Come on, Tanjiro, hurry up...!' y/n thought as the familiar ache in her lungs and the heaviness in her limbs began to develop, 'I can't keep this up much longer!'
Switching between Breathing Styles so abruptly(well, at all)wasn't an easy task... and at this rate, with not having practice switching much, she'd likely collapse within the next five minutes.
But hey, hey, maybe Tanjiro and Inosuke would defeat the demon by then.
Damn it.
Five minutes later, y/n dropped to her knees while using her blade to keep herself from laying on the ground.
"Damn it..!" she choked out, chest heaving as she fought for air. It was like the oxygen was stabbing her from the inside as it made its way throughout her body!
What was taking them so damn long???
Y/n staggered to her feet only to hecking drop again, pretty much at her limit.
She couldn't do 💩 unless she took a small break and gave herself the time she needed to recuperate.
Y/n struggled to stand but her body wasn't going to budge. She seriously needed a break.
Of course, the train wasn't having that.
Y/n was rather strong... she'd make a wonderful meal for that creepy 🍑 demon.
Just as the nasty nasty tentacle thing reached for the vulnerable Demon Slayer, Tanjiro descended from the sky up front like a hecking angel and delivered the finishing blow to the train demon.
Which earned an ear splitting screech from it as the train hecking shook and derailed.
Thomas the Train is no more.
That's the tragic end of the Thomas x Enmu smut fic, thanks for reading.
Y/n, still unable to move, was ready to just trash her promise to fake Kanae and die right there but Rengoku swooped in and snatched her up. He was carrying Shiori under one arm too which is the cutest thing ever.
Welp, y/n was safe now.
Time to catch some Zs and get back that energy cause she would need it in the next couple of minutes.
~~~ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ•°*
Y/n's breathing was nowhere near steady.
Her back was against the derailed train and she would remain there until she'd regained enough strength to help rescue people from the wreckage.
Which didn't seem like it'd be any time soon from the way she gasped for air, chest heaving and actual tears gathering in her eyes from how much that 🐂💩 was hurting.
Rengoku had set her down in a nice lil spot for her to rest a bit, making sure she was comfy before going off to find the others.
Shiori curled up in y/n's lap, the exhausted Demon Slayer scratching the cat's chin as the feline purred with delight.
"Are you okay, y/n?" Shiori asked y/n as she removed her mask in order to breathe better, "You looked like you were in a lot of pain while you were out."
"I... I did...?" y/n murmured.
Shiori nodded, "Uh-huh...! I thought you were getting a sword shoved up your arse!"
Y/n frowned, "Shiori..."
"Sorry! Sorry!"
"I'm alright." y/n mumbled, e/c eyes looking a little distant, "I just..."
Kanae's kind embrace.
Her reassuring smile.
Her soothing voice.
Y/n had wanted to stay there forever.
But she still had people she needed to protect.
And that promise she'd been ready to drop—
Death wasn't an option just yet.
"You what?" Shiori demanded.
Y/n shrugged, "I feel a little bad. I didn't do much on the train when my help was needed."
"Eh? That's what you look so depressed about?" Shiori demanded, "If that's the case... get your 🍑 up and help rescue the people who were on the train."
"...good idea."
"I know."
Y/n staggered to her feet, tying her mask to her belt and immediately got to work with new energy.
As y/n was pulling people out of the wreckage, checking for wounds and tending to injuries, she chatted with the little cat following her around.
"Y/n! What kind of dream did you have?" Shiori asked as y/n checked on a pregnant woman who seemed to be in shock.
"...one of my family." y/n murmured, "And then another of my old teacher, one of an old friend too."
"Eh?" Shiori looked puzzled, as puzzled as a cat can look, "I thought there was only one dream."
Y/n only shrugged, "I was trapped inside a dream of another dream. When I broke out of one, I fell into the other and had to struggle out of that one."
"Sounds rough."
"It made my head hurt." y/n sighed heavily then halted, "Hold on... Shiori. How did you know that it was a dream?"
"I mean, you fell asleep so I'd figured you had a dream." Shiori replied then scowled, "What, you think I'm sus?"
Y/n regarded the cat for a moment before heaving a sigh, "M'sorry..."
"DON'T APOLOGIZE!!!"
"MP/N!!!" a familiar voice shouted and y/n sidestepped out of the way in time before Inosuke could tackle her.
He crashed right into the train and y/n gasped.
Y/n glanced at the Boar Boy in surprise and rushed over to him, checking him over for injuries, "Inosuke! Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?"
The Boar Boy tensed, startled by the concern y/n showed for him. Ah 💩, he felt all fuzzy and warm again.
"I-I'm fine!" Inosuke declared proudly, definitely not blushing beneath that mask, "As if some beast in disguise could beat me!"
"Oh! And you were right!" y/n realized then grinned, "Guess that means I have to give you food, yeah?"
Inosuke stood there for a minute, his last half a brain cell processing this information before shouting, "I WANT TEMPURA!"
"You can have all the tempura you want!" y/n chimed.
"I want tempura too!" Shiori declared.
"Yeah. No."
"AND COMB MY HAIR TOO!"
"Uh..."
As Inosuke and y/n stuck to helping people out from under the derailed train, a shiver went down y/n's spine as she sensed a new presence.
'Is he here...?' she thought in alarm, staring in the direction she'd felt this menacing aura, 'No... it's weaker.'
"Mp/n!" Inosuke began.
"I feel it too." y/n murmured, "But we can't run off. We have to trust in Rengoku-san, and just stick to helping these people here."
Inosuke hesitated, observing y/n's from expression before nodded, "Hmph, leave it to me! You go!"
"Wait, what?!" y/n demanded.
"I saw how you cut up that spider demon before! You go help googly eyes, especially if he's going up against someone with a presence like that!" Inosuke snapped, "Leave this to Lord Inosuke!"
Y/n nodded, "Mhm."
'Right. I won't allow anyone to die here!"
Mm, if she wants to make that happen she should hurry up a lil bit, y'know? I mean.
RENGOKU HAS A GODDAMN CRUSHED EYE, BROKEN RIBS, BANGED UP ORGANS AND HE'S ABOUT TO GET TURNED INTO A MOTHER🚚 BAGEL.
A DONUT.
A DAMN WEDDING RING.
Tanjiro could only watch in distress as the two blurs that were Upper Moon Three plus the Flame Hashira threw hands.
They were too fast for the young Demon Slayer to really keep up with as they two of them went at it, looking as fine as hell.
Akaza was the demon's name.
Looks like a basketball.
Ahem, anyway.
Shiori came running over the hill and saw that 💩, "OH SHI- AYO EMOTIONAL TRAINWRECK THERE'S A BASKET BALL KICKING TEMPURA TOP'S ASS!!"
Y/n was a little preoccupied, having been distracted with helping a couple who were stuck under the derailed Thomas during her trip to go provide the Hashira some back up.
Finally, the two hotties backed up off of one another so they can have that stare down all people do sometimes in the middle of throwing hands.
Mm, I know Rengoku is dying rn but he looks fine as hell, gah dayum...
AHEM, MKAY-
Gotta get my 💩 together.
Be serious!
As y/n finally freed the couple from under the train, she ran to go see what was happened and halted.
"Kyo-san...!" she choked out, eyes wide.
It was worse than she'd expected. Way worse.
Mans had taken a beat down.
That was all y/n could think about.
"-a smashed left eye, shattered ribs and damaged internal organs. Recovering from such injuries would be next to impossible." Akaza was saying and y/n tensed a little, "If you were a demon, they'd all be healed in an instant."
A little memory prodded curiously at her and she mentally swatted it away.
It poked again.
She swatted again.
She missed, distracted by Rengoku.
And then the damn memory pounced on her, the raw emotion that came with it nearly knocking y/n off her feet.
"You're a special one, brat." the demon sneered, wiping blood from its mouth.
A young y/n, only thirteen years old, trembled before the creature as she tightly gripped an axe.
Her hands and arms were covered in the demon's blood along with her own, the strange creature having managed to claw her a couple of times.
She could hear her brothers screams a distance away, where another demon was still attacking them.
She needed to finish this.
She needed to kill it...!
"Not to mention your strength! I bet you'd be a terrifying demon!" the creature laughed.
Y/n scowled, "Shut it... you and that other dirtbag hurt my brothers. I'll never forgive you!"
"Quit your yapping, its not that big of a deal." the demon yawned, waving a hand.
Y/n froze, face going blank.
Not a big deal?
Her brothers, not even twelve yet, were both being slaughtered and it wasn't a big deal?
Something within y/n snapped as she lunged for the demon, not even bothering to use her axe as she grabbed it by the horn and slammed its head down onto the ground.
"You bastard! I'll kill you!" she shouted, "No, I'll give you a fate worse than death!"
'Hnnghhh, so loud...' y/n thought in distress as she recalled the vulgar words she used that day before shaking her head.
Not the time.
She couldn't just remain where she was.
If she wanted to end that lil cycle of mistakes, guilt and awful memories, she would have to do something.
Even if doing something meant constantly shifting between two Breathing Styles without any kind of break.
And so, y/n moved.
She moved before Rengoku could.
She moved before Tanjiro could.
She moved before Inosuke could.
And Akaza didn't notice her presence until she breathing down his damn neck.
First there was nothing but Rengoku's fighting spirit, the cat's unusual amount of killing intent, and Tanjiro a distance away. Then, there was an overwhelming pressure.
The demon, only just noticing y/n's presence, turned and prepared to attack at a speed expected of an Upper Moon.
Very briefly, due to how fast the two were moving, their eyes met.
And the snarling oni mask said it all.
Y/n didn't even have to say it.
Though she did think it.
However, Shiori said it.
"YOU PICKED THE WRONG SLAYER!!!" The cat cackled maniacally, "No-wife, dead-dad, weak 🍑, built like a Kentucky Fried Chicken bag, baby powder 🍑 havin BIATCH!"
