A/N: wasn't going to post today, but then I accidentally posted chapter ten whole editing it and saw a notification was sent out. So here's my formal apology:

That's how the next few weeks went. Yayorozu trying to set up unnecessary Tutoring sessions, Iida followed her home. Each time waiting for her to invite him inside. Each time she left him at the door.

She had just completed the final exam and was feeling fairly confident about it. Mostly because she walked past the teacher while he was grading it. She made her way home with Iida in hot pursuit. "The school year is practically over now... Will I ever see her again after that?" He wondered.

Kira glanced up at him.

"I hope I do."
He decided.

Iida was a pretty nice guy, and he seemed through the past few days to actually want to be around HER. Not just want to make himself feel better by making sure she was safe.

She was actually starting to like him. Just a little, he was the closest thing to a friend she had.

"Alright. This is it."
She said. Standing by the entrance to the apartment building.

"She's never going to let me inside is she?" He wondered, Kira noticed a small smile. "I suppose that's alright."

"You know, I've been enjoying these last few weeks." He said. She just nodded. "I'm glad I got to get to know you a little more. You're not the person I thought you were."

"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
She asked him stoicly. Raising a brow.

"A good thing. A amazing thing actually."
"A good thing. I'm sorry for misjudging you."

"Yeah, and I guess you're not as stiff as I thought you were." She mumbled awkwardly. "Well, I'll see you around then Iida."

"See you at graduation." He said, waving her off. Waiting for her to enter the building before he left, as always.

"See ya."
She mumbled under her breath as she closed the door.

Kira stayed in her apartment, eating instant ramen and clicking through Netflix. Until something happened that never happened.
Like ever.

Someone knocked on her door.

She paused, ramen half way to her mouth and listened with her quirk.

"This is it right? Who am I kidding?! Of course this is it! Apartment fifty right?" She stood up at the sudden thoughts.

No way. She walked over to the door as the man started to knock once again. "Maybe she isn't home, I probably should have texted. I'll try again tomorrow-"

She opened the door. The tall blonde man was standing by her door nervously.
"Oh! Hello Kira." He said with a smile.

"U-uncle Yagi. Hey." She said, not bothering to hide her shock. The male wasn't quite as large as he was when fighting villains.

All might had been in town for almost a month. And yet he was just now paying her a visit. She forgot the idea of him visiting her weeks ago.

"Hello young Kira. I was in town and I decided to erm... Drop by." He said, he looked just as confused as she was. Like he didn't really understand why he was here.

"Okay, come in then." She stepped aside, hugging her arms.

All Might, or rather Toshinori Ygi was Kira's uncle and legal guardian. The man that's been paying for her livelyhood for three years now.

The man that never showed up.

He walked in and looked around. It was fairly tidy, she had briefly cleaned up after school. But it wasn't great, clothes in random places. The trash needed to be taken out and there were still dishes in the sink.

Kira picked at the calluses on her plan nervously. She wished she had known he was coming.

"It's a little dirty in here. But then again I don't think she was expecting me. It has been awhile, she looks skinny. I've been giving her more than enough for groceries right? She should be fine." The man scanned the room.

And no, he didn't know about Kira's quirk. Only six people had known about it. Five of them were dead now.

She hadn't told her uncle.

Just like everyone else, as far as he knew. She was completely quirkless.

"You cut your hair." He said randomly. Looking at Kira's chopped black hair.

"Yep." She shrugged. She had done it herself in her bathroom not long after he last saw her.

They stayed silent for a while longer.

"Well... What should I say? What do you say to Your dead sister's daughter?! Maybe coming here was a mistake. But..." An image of a green haired boy flashed in his mind before disappearing.

"Would you like me to take you to go get some dinner?" He finally asked. Kira had sensed him mulling the idea over.

"Okay, sure. I need to change though."
She shrugged, walking down the hall.

"Of course."
He mumbled.

Kira came out wearing a red dress, beat up doc Martens and a leather jacket to match. From reading her uncles thoughts she knew what restaurant they were going to. It wasn't crazy fancy but it also wasn't a super casual place. She ruffled her hair, put on a silver choker and walked out.

Her uncle had been staring at the one photo hanging in her living room. It was her, her mother and her father. A photo taken just a year before their death.

"I'm ready." She said, leaning against the door frame.

"That's a lot of eye makeup." He thought briefly. It really wasn't, but Kira wasn't able to educate him on smoky eyes just yet.
"Alright, you look... Good."
"Oh God I don't know how to complement teenager girls. She looks fine... Well she looks like she works at hot topic... But I guess that is fine. She's a teenager after all."

She chuckled.
"Thanks."

Kira ate her food across from her uncle. He hadn't been recognized yet. He was slightly shrunk down. Not quite skeleton mode, but just somewhere in between. Like when he was younger.

Of course she knew about how his quirk was dying and how he had found a new heir. Some kid he called "Young Midoriya". But once again... He had no clue she was aware of this. He just half heartedly explained that when using his quirk his body became more muscular.

After a few minutes he cleared his throat.
"Okay, so this will probably be a weird thing to say... But that's alright- wait... Oh God... I forgot... What if they're not... She's fifteen right?! She should be... Oh God I don't remember my own niece's age..."

"So uh... You're finished with middle school right?" He asked. As though that was better than asking for her age.

"Yep, I graduate next week."
She said, taking a sip of her diet coke.

"So they are the same age! Top notch detective skills Toshinori! Now for the big question..."

"Are you seeing anyone?"
He asked.

Kira coughed, covering her mouth to avoid spraying her drink out. She swallowed stiffly and cleared her throat.
"I'm sorry?"
She asked. Even as a mind reader she hadn't seen that question coming. He had just blurted it out the moment it came to mind.

"Like a boyfriend?"
He clarified. "Or girlfriend I suppose. Actually from the way she dresses it's not unlikely..."

"No, no I don't."
'because I'm fifteen.' She thought, sighing.

"Well I uh... You see I..." He stammered. "How do I beat say this?"

"I know a nice young man I'd like to introduce you too. If you don't mind."
He finally choked out.

'Oh God my uncle is trying to set me up with his protege.' She thought.

"O-oh..." She mumbled. "I mean... I don't know, I'm only fifteen..." She said, her mind absolutely reeling. This isn't how she imagined this dinner going at all.

She had no idea where she thought it would go, but this definitely wasn't it.

"But Midoriya is so lonely... He isn't friends with anyone his own age. Maybe I took the wrong approach trying to set them up. But Kira seems too young to be planning playdates for her. I imagined the next thing would be a regular date... I guess I was wrong."

"Well I mean... You don't have too... Just meet him. Maybe you two can be friends."
He tried again.

"And maybe then you two can get married. What would that make him? My nephew in law? Is that a thing? Would I be his uncle?"
He wondered.

"I mean... It can't... Hurt?" She asked. She didn't want to disappoint her uncle. I mean he did pay for literally everything she owned. Meeting this "young Midoriya" couldn't be so bad...

Right?
