"Can we promise never to speak of this?" Naomosa asked Kira as they walked out of a hospital in Hosu.
The two had been patrolling in the area when they stopped for lunch. After grabbing something to eat and walking back in the car Naomasa somehow managed to shut the car door on his own hand.
He now had two broken fingers on his dominant right hand.
"My lips are sealed." Kira said, opening the car door for him. "Watch your hands."
He put his hands up to show they were out of the way, then Kira slammed the door.
"You don't have to open and close EVERY door for me you know." He sighed and put his hands on the wheel. His two bad fingers were in metal splints that stuck right up.
"Actually I do, can't have you breaking the fingers on you other hand can we?" Kira said, getting in on the other side of the car.
Kira yawned as they drove through the streets. It was getting progressively darker and it looked like they wouldn't get back to the station until late.
Kira squinted at the buildings. Right above a far one she could see a cloud of smoke billowing up. It was probably several blocks away, it wasn't coming from the building. But rather behind it. "What's that?" Kira mumbled, gesturing over. Naomosa had already seen it though.
"I'm not sure." He grabbed a radio and right as he touched it the thing went off with another voice.
"All combat specialists are needed in Hosu immediately. Pros and armed officers. Along with paramedics and firefighters, there have been two reported sightings of genetically modified creatures known as Nomu. I repeat, Pros, armed officers, paramedics and firefighters are needed immediately."
Kira and Naomosa looked at each other, both with eyes wide in fear.
"Shit what do I do? I'm not at all a combat specialist and I have Kokoa with me. But I can't just drive away from something like this. They might need help directing people away and taking them to safety, but still I can't just bring my intern. I'm responsible for her safety above all else, I can't just take her into combat."
"Why not?!" Kira groaned.
"We might not even be able to get close Kokoa! You know how dangerous those things are. The one from the USJ was the size of a car! It could pick something like this cruiser up and toss it if it wanted too. It's too dangerous." He said running a hand through his hair. "Plus neither of us have quirks that could be used against them!"
He punched his steering wheel and then flinched and cracked his hurt hand.
"Damn it!" He said.
Kira shut up, she could tell he wanted to be out there just as much as she did.
"Officers unable to perform in combat are advised to remain a safe distance from the center of the city until called in." The radio crackled again.
Naomosa sighed and grabbed it. "Copy that."
"Fucking bullshit." Kira grumbled, Crossing her arms. "So we're supposed to just do nothing?" She asked.
"If we can't fight we could become casualties." He said, reasoning with himself just as much as Kira.
Then her phone dinged. She rolled her eyes and checked it. "What the fuck?" She mumbled. Clicking on the message.
It was a location sent from the group chat. Midoriya's location was sent from Hosu, just a few minutes away from where she was. Just a few minutes from where the attacks were.
"Someone in my class just shared their location..." She whispered when hearing her mentors confused thoughts. "It's ten minutes away. In Hosu."
"Shit."
He whispered. Naomosa put the car in gear.
"Where?"
Kira sighed. "As much as I'd be okay with Midoriya dying... I think this has less to do with the Nomu and more to do with Tenya."
"Just go forward... I'll direct you."

"Stop here." Kira said.
"There's no one here. You sure this is right?"
Naomosa asked, stopping the car. "No Nomu, no fighting."
"It's a block ahead." Kira said opening her door. "Turn off the car and stay quiet. This isn't league related."
Naomosa listened to her without much reluctance. Turning off the car, putting his gun in it's holster and getting out. Kira crept forward and then stopped.
"Shh, try not to think for second." She put her had up. The man scoffed.
"And how am I supposed to do that?!"
"Shh." She put a finger to her mouth and closed her eyes. Concentrating. She has never actually purposely reached out for someones thoughts like this. She didn't know exactly how to do it.
"The two that showed up should be spared. They're truly heroic. But the pro and son of Ingenium are filth. If I these two brats would just let me end them I can make my escape."
"I can't... Move... His quirk..."
"I'm bleeding too much, if he gets too close to me it's all over. Crap, it's on his sword I can see it. All he has to do is consume my blood right? If that's true then..."
"No Midoriya is on the ground now. This is all my fault, and now I've involved others. I can't let him win. I can't let him kill them. But my arms are too badly injured to do much of anything. Todoroki should be able move again soon, but Midoriya recovers the quickest. It's up to me for now."
Kira grabbed Naomosa's arm.
"It's Stain. The hero killer." She whispered, his brows went up.
"Are your friends-"
"My classmates are holding their own... For now. We have to go." She whispered jogging forward.
"Surprise will be key. Let them keep him distracted and then I can-"
He stopped and looked at his hand. His broken fingers. "Shit."
He couldn't shoot with his trigger finger busted like this. He couldn't even hold a gun in his right hand. He didn't trust his left hand to shoot accurately, especially not with kids in there. It was too risky.
Kira looked back at him and he looked up at her. If this man has taken out hero after hero and was now facing off against some of the best upcoming hero students then the only way either of them could stand a chance would be to shoot him down.
But he couldn't do it.
Kira waited, staring at him. Waiting for him to make a decision. If his intern took a shot with his gun and his permission and she missed... If she hit one of the innocent people in that Alleyway...
If she killed them, even on accident...
Both of their futures would shatter. He would probably lose his badge.
If she took down the hero killer though, she would save four people. She would be a hero if her aim was good.
But that was a big if.
"Can you do it."
He asked. Kira didn't nod right away, she pictured the targets she would shoot. Those last bullseyes. Those perfect shots.
But that wasn't real. That wasn't in the dark.
That wasn't a living moving person.
She nodded.
"Are you positive?"
He asked again, there was a yell from the Alley and a burst of fire. Todoroki was up but she could feel that he wasn't doing so good.
She nodded again. He stared for a moment and then took the gun out of the holster. "Don't make me regret this, don't take a shot unless you're sure it will hit it's mark. No kill shots either, aim for his hands and legs. Disable him and disarm him. Don't shoot unless you have a clear shot with no one else infront or behind."
"Yes sir." She nodded, wrapping both hands around the gun. They were right by the mouth of the alley now and they could clearly hear the struggle. Metal scraped against concrete and brick as the hero killer swung around his long swords.
"Hands first, then if necessary his legs. Knees would definitely keep him from walking again anytime soon." He advised.
She put her back to the wall and took in a deep breath. Then looked at him again and nodded. She was about to shot an actual human being and she couldn't chicken out. Once she was in the mouth of the alley and seen her life was on the line. She couldn't afford to hesitate.
This was for Iida. The boy that used to walk her home everyday after the school for her safety. They boy who is traumatized after almost losing his older brother. Who was the most important person in the world to him.
This was Todoroki who selflessly came to the aid of his friends even though he had no clue what he was getting himself into. Who was tormented by his father and had a shot childhood.
This was Midoriya...
Who would forever be in her debt if she saved his life and she would be able to hold this over him for all of highschool. Maybe even beyond that.
She spun into the Alley, gun infront of her securly held by both hands. She took in the scene for about a second. The hero killer was standing with his right arm up, gripping his sword. A clear shot, held high above everyone.
But it was about to come down, onto Todoroki who was making ice. If Todoroki created an ice wall it would be perfect. It would block any missed shots from himself and Iida who was behind him.
He looked over and saw her, saw her gun. In half a second he seemed to completely understand. He stomped on the ground and created a wall, just big enough to block himself and Iida.
The killers hands contrasted perfectly against the glistening ice. Making them easy to see.
Bang
He dropped the first sword.
Bang
The second he has been holding to his side fell to the ground. He bent his knees to jump, his mind knowing he had to get out and now.
Bang
Bang
His legs have out and he crumpled onto his knees. Kira nodded and Naomosa tore around the corner.
"POLICE, GET ON THE GROUND!!!"
He yelled jogged forward. Kira lowered her gun and Naomosa took out his handcuffs. Taking the gun when he passed Kira and putting it back into it's holster.
"YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!!"
He screamed at the man who groaned in response.
"Kokoa...." Iida was on his knees. The ice melted away and Todoroki sighed, the only sign he was relieved.
The bullets had never even touched the Ice. Her aim had been perfect.
"Why the hell is she here... I mean it's good she was but... How did she know- oh yeah, she's on the group chat." Midoriya thought from his spot on the ground. He was paralyzed.
"Kokoa, help me with this would ya?" Naomosa asked. Kira playfully rolled her eyes and took a breath.
"Sure, just make the intern do everything."
She said sarcastically, she kicked a sword out of Stain's reach. His hand was inching towards it.
"It had to be the police. The snobby whining officers. Not even a pro that did this... I have to get up, I have to fight. Where's that last knife, if I can get it I could take out the man above me. Maybe get away in the shock. If I can walk that is. I'll kill that coward, only all might can get me. The only pure one on the streets of this filthy city-"
Kira lunged forward right as the man's arm went up. A small knife clutched in his bleeding palm. She pushed his arm to the ground and twisted the knife out of his hand. It had been inches away from Naomosas gut.
"Thanks Kira." The man sighed, cuffing the hand Kira held down. "For everything really, you've been a wonderful intern." He sighed and put a hand to his chest. "These kids are gonna give me a heart attack."
"I try." She shrugged. Stain didn't struggle against her as she disarmed him, pulling out every one of his swords and knifes from his makeshift sheaths.
"Are you kids okay?" Naomosa asked, pulling the man up once Kira was done.
"Y-yes sir." Iida squeaked out. "Thank you."
He stared at Kira in the dark. "Thank you." He whispered again.
Kira shrugged. "We just happened to be in the area when we got Midoriya's text."
She turned to the green haired boy. "Also next time follow your location up with a few details. Like 'Fighting a serial killer need backup' or some shit. So I know to ignore it next time." She said with a smirk.
"She really is an asshole."
Midoriya thought with a frown. His paralysis was started to wear off, same with the pro in the corner. He got up and coughed.
"Thank you all... I would have been dead if it weren't for you." He bowed and limped slightly. Iida steadied him and held him up. Todoroki linked away after the detective. Who was putting stain into the back of his car.
Kira glanced down as everyone walked away. Midoriya sheepishly looked up at her and she rolled her eyes.
"I fucking hate you." She whispered as she bent over and pulled his arm over her shoulder and helped him up.
He slumped against her and cursed under his breath. "Let's just agree to forget about this."
She smirked. "Oh I'm never letting this go, you owe me one."
