14: 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑚𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑚𝑦 𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑚𝑦
A/N: No one saw the first half of chapter 19. If you think you did you're crazy. So just forget about it okay?
(I'm gaslighting you)
Kira held her tray. She now had her biggest challenge yet.
The cafeteria.
She scanned the excessively large room. Looking for a place to sit. Preferably far away from anyone she knew. She had been approached by almost everyone in her class, but lied about having to go potty to get away from all of them.
Where could she sit that Iida and Midoriya wouldn't approach her? Unfortunately the two seemed to be close friends, they were sitting with a few other students from her new class. Iida saw her immediately, he had been staring at the door waiting for her.
She put on her headphones, this room was hell. She wanted to go outside but then it would be too easy for him to catch her alone and force her to talk with him. She looked around as he stood up. Where could she sit so that he wouldn't bother her? Who could-
She caught sight of a boy with spiked blonde hair. Sitting alone at a table made for about four people, close to the trash cans.
'Bingo.'
"Kokoa-"
Kira turned and walked off as though she hadn't heard Iida as he finally got close to her. She speed walked to her safe haven. Bakugou's table.
For some reason the entire class was scared of the boy. They didn't seem to want to get too close to him. But Kira was desperate and basically fearless anyways. Plus he was all by himself, she couldn't help but feel a little bad for the poor little guy.
She all but threw her tray down infront of him. He glared up at her, his mind was a stark contrast to everyone else around them. "What the hell- it's the stupid new kid. No wonder, no one has sat next to me since the first week." Images of a few other kids from their class sitting next to him on the first day of school flashed though his mind. The purple haired girl and a Pikachu looking boy. Along with a redhead who had introduced himself to her as Ejiro Kirishima.
They were now a few tables away.
Kira sat down across from him. "Hey Bakugou." She said simply. As though they had been friends for years.
"What the hell are you doing?!" He barked at her. She didn't finch, turning to her American meal. The cafeteria had a huge selection of food. From traditional Japanese cuisine to American cheese burgers and fries. Kira had opted for the second version.
"Eating?" She said with an eyeroll.
"Go away! This is my table!" He yelled, crossing his arms. "She'll just leave later once Deku talks to her. I don't want to get to know her like those other idiots."
"Really? I don't see your name on it." Kira said back. Looking at the surface as through genuinely trying to find his name.
"Fuck off!" He hissed. "Shoo!" He waved his hands at her like she was a pest.
"I'm not a stray cat bro. Chill out you won't even notice I'm here." She said, shoving a fry in her mouth. "Want a fry?" She offered.
"I don't want your fucking handouts." He grumbled shoving his own food into his mouth. "I like eating alone."
'No you don't.' Kira thought, taking a bite of her burger.
"She'll be gone by tomorrow. I see Deku staring already. He'll talk to her later, she'll be out of my hair." He seemed to be trying to convince himself that's what he wanted. Eyeing Kira with a glare as she shoved an ungodly amount of food in her mouth.
He looked like an angry caged animal. Like he was trying to scare her away with just a glare because he couldn't attack her physically.
His eyes turned to a table across cafeteria. Kira turned to casually follow his gaze. It was Midoriya's table, Iida was now sitting back down over there with a look of defeat.
"Go over there and sit with your dumb friend Deku. Stupid bitch." He snapped. She looked back at him, whether he was calling her or Deku a bitch was unclear even too her.
"He's not my friend." She said with a shrug. "We went on one date, and between you and me? He's super annoying."
His eyes widened slightly in shock and he sat back. He hadn't expected that answer.
"Deku goes on dates?" He asked, scrunching up his nose. "With girls?" He added mentally. Kira snorted, but it seemed like it was because of what he said out loud.
"Apparently not often. He made sure it was very obvious he'd never gone out with a girl before." She said, wiping her mouth. "Whining about 'oh I don't have any friends' and 'g-girls make me nervous.'" She made her voice super squeaky and Bakugou barked out a laugh at her impression.
Kira realized that this was a very easy way to make friends with Bakugou Katsuki. The enemy of my enemy is my friend after all.
"Dude is super fake. I don't like people like that you know?" She said. "So what about you? What do you have against him?"
"None of your fucking business." He snapped. Kira smiled and shrugged, finding the answer through his mind anyways.
"I have everything against him. He hates me and makes my life hell. Why'd he have to end up in UA?! And in my exact some class?! I bet he found some way to get into the same class with me. Just to try and make me leave."
He thought spitefully. Aggressively chewing his food.
"My bad. I just wanted tea." Kira said, pulling out her phone and scrolling social media.
"I'm not your girlfriend." Bakugou snapped.
"Whatever you say princess. Are you gonna eat that?" She pointed at his food with one of her fries.
"Yes! Get away from my food ass face!" He yelled covering it with his arms. "And I'm not a princess!! Go away!" He yelled.
A few tables glanced over as he yelled and they laughed. But he wasn't making too big of a scene yet. Kira snickered as he glared at everyone around them. "What are you idiots looking at?!" He yelled.
"Probably the guy yelling about being a princess." She pointed out, sipping from her soda.
"Why won't she go away?! She can't actually be planning on staying. I don't want her to stay- I don't want her to leave either..."
Kira rested her chin on her hand. The guy had a constant storm of emotions. A lot of it was bitter anger, but he had a fair amount of fear and dread. Poor guy had serious abandonment issues because everyone who had tried to make friends with him left because Deku told them rumors. At least that's what Kria had gathered from this interaction.
He didn't want to like her company because he didn't want it to hurt when she left.
Kira disliked Deku even more now.
"Fuck off." He said with clinched teeth.
"Nah."
Bakugou was two things. Angry and impulsive. He was so impulsive that he didn't even actually think before he acted sometimes. So even Kira hadn't anticipated his next movements.
He reached over and slapped her paper cup off the table. It flew through the air and collided with the trashcan to Kira's left. The plastic top popped off and the rest of the soda and ice splattered across the floor.
Kira raised an eyebrow at him and his eyes widened just barely and he glanced at his hand. "Fuck! why'd I do that?!" He thought, he felt intense panic and regret.
Every table around them was now paying attention to them. Or more specifically him.
"It's that brat from the hero course."
"What's his name? Bakugou I think. He's insane."
"Dude has serious issues. How the hell did he even get in here?!"
"Is he bullying that girl?!"
"Did he try to slap her?!"
Students thought and whispered about the two.
"Well that was dramatic." Kira said, he felt bad but she knew he had way too much pride to apologize to her. She reached over and grabbed his own drink.
"You know..." She said, pulling it to the center of the table. "If you had hit it a little harder at a different angle. You probably could have made it into the trashcan."
She stated before hitting his cup with a upward angle. It shot up and then fell in an arc. Landing directly into the trashcan Bakugou had slammed the other one into.
"See?"
Bakugou scoffed but his thoughts were reeling. "She- she's not mad?! What is she doing?! Why did she do that?! Why hasn't she left yet?"
"Any idiot can do that."
He said, instead of asking her why she hadn't left his table. He picked up the spilling cup he had knocked over earlier and set it back up on the table.
"Let's see what she thinks of this." He thought simply with a grin. He slapped the cup and Kira heard the small "boom" of an explosion. Sparks flew from his palm and the cup soared through the air. Flying over the closest trashcan and hitting the wall across the room. It then fell and landed in the trashcan tucked into the farthest corner.
He crossed his arms and sat back with a smirk. Clearly pleased with himself.
The other students became less judgemental and more amused or annoyed with the two teenagers. But soon they looked away, most thought that they were having some type of contest and that Bakugou hadn't been bullying Kira originally. Just challenging her.
"Well..." Kira said, looking over at the trashcan. "Now you're just showing off."
A/N:
Yeah so tell me why I accidentally posted chapter 19 and didn't notice until the NEXT MORNING?!
So you saw a tiny glimpse of the future, I'm just glad it didn't contain anything significant lol.
I'm justifying taking a break because A.Z has like over a hundred chapters and Normal just has like... Well 19.
Plus I'm in a pretty boring part of A.Z and I don't have any ideas lol. I'll think of something later though.
