A/N: I'm bored so here's another

"So uh... No one's gonna talk about it?"

The students were still in a group. This time doing various stretches to keep from pulling their muscles when exercising.

The boy who spoke up was blonde with a small black streak in his hair. He wobbled as he held his left leg behind his back. Copying Mina from afar, who was doing a much better job.

"Talk about what?" Jirou asked beside him. Obviously she didn't know the boy, she had just met him. In fact basically all of them were strangers.

"Oh come on!" The boy said, then pulled his voice to a loud whisper. "Kurayami?? I know we're all thinking about it." He sounded a little panicked. "It's got to be a coincidence right???"

More silence.

"I don't think so... I mean it's not a very common name..." Uraraka squeaked. Rubbing her arms.

"Right... And all day when she's introduced herself... She insisted on being called just Nova. Without a family name." Momo yaoyorozu observed. Thinking back to when she was speaking with both Iida and Jirou.

"So she was trying to keep it a secret??" The blonde asked. Wobbling to the side and then dropping his leg to catch himself.

"Seems like it..." Yaoyorozu nodded. "I don't see why she would unless... She was related to... Him."

"In my research of the villain it was said that he had a daughter... She was brought up several times when he was in court, though the trial wasn't recorded like they usually are because he was a special case..." Midoriya mumbled.

The Kurayami trial had been interesting to say the least. While the man was in captivity he was banned from being within a hundred feet of metal. It was before other methods of quirk nullification were invented. So they had to prevent attack by other means.

There were no microphones, cameras, phones, handcuffs or even pens in the room with him during the trial. Any news camera held a large amount of metal that he could have easily used to kill someone.

He was bound up in a thick straight jacket. Instead of buckles it was knotted together.

Because of this the trail wasn't televised. Rather they had a large amount of witnesses to it. Including reporters allowed to write strictly with pencils and paper, pro heroes and politicians. All in a room made of solid concrete. Where he was also held.

"But what's she doing here then??" The electric blonde asked in a slight panic. "Why would a daughter of a villain go to UA??"

"Why not? Ribbit." Tsu asked. "She didn't do anything wrong."

"That we know of..." Kaminari mumbled.

There wasn't much more conversation after that. Everyone keeping whatever thoughts they had about the subject to themselves for now. But there was a certain... Uncomfortable atmosphere. It was worse than when Aizawa announced the test
That had actually hyped up most of the students. But now they were nervous.

Tenya Iida didn't say anything. Standing towards the back of the group drinking orange juice with a stone faced look about him.

Now that he knew Her last name... Everything made sense. Everything fit into place. Her red hair went from unique and pretty to... Corrupt. A symbol of evil and villainy. Her timid nature when he introduced himself to her seemed less charming and more... Rude. As though she walked away from his extended hand on purpose.

Did she know who he was? Who is father was? What happened to him because of her own father? What happened to his family because his dad was forced to retire?

She must've. The way she rejected his extended hand... It left a bitter taste in his mouth. Obviously she had no interest in forming friendships at UA. She barely spoke when she was in the classroom with everyone else. She was more interested in the school guide then her fellow students.

Tenya's eyes locked on the door her and Aizawa had entered. He hoped... She'd be expelled. If someone really did have to go home today... He hoped it was her. He didn't want to be in the same class as her. Especially not for the entire year. He didn't want to look at her red hair or grey eyes. He disliked this whole situation very much.

After a few minutes the door finally opened. Her and Aizawa walked out with two boxes for the next challenge.

Iida grit his teeth and steeled his resolve. He had bigger things to worry about. He'd ignore her for now and secure his place in the hero course by passing this exam.

He had to make his family proud.

Nova bit her lip. Holding the dynamometer in her hands. It was a simple metal device made to measure someone's grip strength. All they had to do was grip it as tightly as they could.

She looked at the device in her hand. Then at the box, everyone else had one. But there were still plenty to spare... If she broke one she could easily put it back together. Returning something to it's previous form was the easiest part of her quirk.

She glanced at Mr Aizawa, who was preoccupied taking down information.

She touched one of the metal dynamometers and took it apart. The plastic and rubber of the buttons on sensors fell out as the metal changed form in her palm. Nova wrapped it around the handle of her own and used her quirk to compress the metal.

"Wow!!! You hit 540 kilograms?! You're such a beast!" A boy yelled out. Nova glanced at them.

He was looking at the big heteromorph. The guy with the white hair Nova had seen during the entrance exam.

It was undeniably impressive for him to grip that hard. Especially without any help from an outside force. It was his own physical body.

"Yeah like a muscley octopus!" A short boy with round purple hair said.

Nova glanced at her own to check her score.

Error

"Huh?" Nova mumbled, looking at the device and the compacted metal around the handle.

"You exceeded the max acceptable input." Aizawa said, glancing at hers as he checked each students score.

"No way.." A boy mumbled beside her. Glancing curiously at it.

"Sorry..." Nova mumbled as Aizawa took the device. Hoping she hadn't broken it.

"Take the metal off." He said, handing it back. She touched it and morphed the metal from the older gauge. "Keep that if you need it." He nodded at the clump in her hand. Before he walked away and tossed the other dynamometer into the box. Writing out her score.

Nova held the metal and molded it into a perfect sphere. Slipping the material into her pocket. It wasn't much, if she wanted to pass the exam she might need more material...

Nova couldn't expand or duplicate metal. Only able to use the amount of it she finds. She couldn't create it. Only bend what was available to her.

The ball throw was easy, Nova stood nervously in the circle. Holding the ball. Because it has a sensor inside to see how far it was thrown and a metal rim around it.

Nova glanced around. Aizawa has said anything goes as long as she stayed in the circle... She held it in her open palm, instead of throwing it she let it just float out of her hand. Then flicked her wrist and used her quirk to send it as far away from her as possible. Hurling it across the sky.

"Eight hundred meters." Aizawa said, looking at the measuring device.

That was good, one of the best scores so far. Aside from Uraraka. Who used her antigravity quirk to gain the score of infinity.

"Not bad."

After most of the tests Nova started to calm down. Though her name and quirk had been a big reveal to the class, eventually her classmates had fallen back into the rhythm of the test. Thinking and worrying more about themselves then her. Though she noticed no one made an effort to talk to her anymore. Nor did they stand too close.

She glanced at Jirou. Who was making an effort to not look in her direction.

She had been so outgoing with Nova before. Now she almost seemed to regret it. Embarrassed by how she had previously accepted her. Now she seemed completely different.

Nova sighed and rolled her metal ball in her palm. The tests were done now. It had been well used. She guessed Aizawa wouldn't care if she kept it, he had already put the rest of the dynamometers away.

She worried over her score. Aizawa said that he wanted her to win. What if she didn't? Would he still hate her? Expel her even? She knows she likely didn't place last. In fact she assumed it would be that green haired boy. Who failed every test except the ball throw. Where he showed an enormous feat of power.

Only to break his own finger and almost get attacked by Bakugou for some reason.

Nova would say she did fairly well. Even the times she couldn't use her quirk. Like the long distance run or the sit ups. Each of her test scores had been consistently high. Junshi had lots of physical training. She was used to running long distances, with weights on too. It was part of their training, and probably a way to keep students in line. They couldn't misbehave if they were exhausted by the end of every day.

"I've ranked you all from best to worst." Aizawa said when the group was fully gathered. "I'll show it all at once, it's not worth getting into every individual."

With that he clicked a button and pulled up a hologram. A list of names with numbers on them. Nova looked at the last name first.

20: Izuku Midoriya

She glanced at the green haired boy. Based on his reaction she assumed that was him.

She then looked at the rest, starting from last and looking towards the top.

5: Tenya Iida

4: Bakugou Katsuki

3: Shoto Todoroki

2: Momo Yaoyorozu

1: Nova Kurayami

Her eyes widened and she felt the gaze of a few students shift to her. Many had expected this though. After the footrace she had very obviously stepped it up. Her quirk was not only powerful but also crafty. It had lots of creative uses.

She saw Momo glance at her several times. Momo who got second to her. Nova wondered if that upset her...

Iida was looking between her and the test results as well. Less subtly though. He didn't seem so pleased, his arms crossed over his chest.

Nova also felt a glare burning a hole in the back of her head. She glanced back. Catching the fearsome gaze of Katsuki Bakugou. The boy who placed highest in the entrance exam.

She immediately looked away. The last thing she wanted was to get on his bad side.

"And I was lying. No one's going home." Aizawa said. Clicking off the hologram.

Nova's eyes widened. Most of the class reacted in a similar way.

"That was just a rational deception. To make sure you all tried your best." He said with a crazy smile. The same one he had when he first announced it.

"I'm surprised no one else figured that out..." Momo said suddenly with a tilt to her head. Genuinely confused. "It was obvious... Sorry I probably should have said something." She gave Midoriya a look of pity.

The class muttered in annoyance and relief. Some boys talked about how fun it was to have a challenge while others complained about how harsh and confusing Mr Aizawa was. Nova agreed, after their conversation in the hall... She had no idea what was going on in his head. It unnerved her.

"That's all. Go back to the classroom and pick up a syllabus if you haven't already. Read it through before tomorrow." Aizawa put his hands in his pockets. "If you have anything important to ask me I'll be in my office. And I mean important, I don't want anyone coming in with stupid questions."

Nova bit her lip. A part of her wanted to go talk to him. Just to understand what he expected of her better. But she knew that was a stupid idea and her showing up would probably piss him off.

She decided against it.
