"Novaaaa!!!"
Zoey practically tacked the girl as she walked into their house. Internships were over. And while Nova hadn't stayed in the hospital nearly as long as Iida...
Zel did.
During the Hosu Nomu attacks which apparently took place at the same time as the stain incident. It's suspected that the league of villains opened portals in Hosu and let out several of the creatures.
Zel had helped fight them, but got a little injured. She over used her quirk and broke a few bones. Nova shuddered, thinking of the time she met a nomu. Thinking of the USJ attack... Of Shigaraki.
Stain had warned her that Shigaraki wanted her dead, and to steal her hands apparently. Which was horrifying to hear about the man who just released several giant mutants into the streets.
"I missed you soooo much! Did you do cool hero stuff? I saw you on the TV!!" Zoey said, tugging on Nova's shirt.
"Yeah I did, wait you saw me on TV?" Nova asked, bending to get to Zoey's level. The younger girl wrapped her arms around Nova and basically climbed her.
"Yeah it was so cool!!" Zoey said, hugging her tightly. "You're like a real pro hero now!"
"Not quite." Nova chuckled. Picking Zoey up like she weighed nothing.
"So what? You can move whole buildings now?"
Nova glanced over at Karon, who stood across the room with her arms crossed. She seemed... Different.... Controlled...
Sober.
She was staring Nova down, her bleach blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail. The roots showed her original dark black color.
"Um... Sometimes I guess..." Nova mumbled.
Karon stared for a few moments, studying her. Then turned and walked down the halls, waving Nova off. "Just don't fuck with our house."
Nova watched her for a second then looked down at Zoey, setting her on her feet again. "Are you okay? How'd everything go here?" She asked.
Zoey smiled. "It was good! Karon has been acting different..." She leaned in and whispered in Nova's ear. "She didn't leave the house at all. Unless it was with me."
Nova pulled back. "That's good." She smiled. But on the inside she was confused and slightly concerned.
While that was good, it was also very out of character. Karon staying home with Zoey? All week? Why? Because Nova wasn't there? Sometimes Nova wondered if the only reason Karon acted like she did was her.
"I think she's getting nicer." Zoey nodded. Then she pulled back, excited again."But what about you?! Who cares about what happened here?!!"
"Alright." Nova laughed. "Fine I'll tell you about the internship. Just let me get changed first okay?" She said, patting her excited little sister on the head.
Zoey had said she was basically a pro hero now... And she wasn't completely wrong. Nova had expected to receive some type of backlash from the stain event. Even if it was just a little bit. But no one even said anything about it to her... No one but Iida. It was like she hadn't been a part of it at all.
Nova went to her room and pulled off her jacket and her suit. Putting them in their proper case. Alongside her gear.
Zel had decided to let her keep it. For training at UA and for their continued internship. And after what she said about not trusting anyone with her design... Being given the entire thing made Novas heart swell with nervousness and pride. Zel trusted her like she trusted no one else. She felt honored by it. But she also felt a great deal of pressure. Knowing how much it meant to her.
After changing Nova walked out of her and Zoey's shared room. But paused briefly as something she hadn't noticed before caught her eye. A small red dot on the wall paper, low to the ground by the door. Nova looked closer. Why did it almost look like...
Blood?

"Nova!!" Uraraka hugged her the moment she entered the classroom. "I saw you on the news! You were awesome." She whispered in her ear. She didn't want to attract more attention to Nova than the girl was comfortable with. But she just had to mention it.
"O-oh! You did?" Nova asked with a nervous blush, though she let her friend hold onto her shoulders. "With um... The buildings?"
"Yes! It was totally awesome! You're super strong!" Uraraka nodded frantically.
"Thanks... W-what about you? How um... Was your internship?" Nova asked shyly. She felt on edge, being back in class for the first time since internships. She hadn't seen most of her classmates since the day they all set out. She hadn't spoken to Shoji since the news of Kain's escape and...
She hadn't seen Iida since he spoke to her at the hospital.
She had always been nervous around him. Now she had no idea how to react. We're they... Friends now? He didn't seem to hate her nearly as much as he had at first.
"Oh nothing super exciting happened... But I learned a lot! Especially about close combat! Gunhead was super nice!" Uraraka punched the air a little bit. But then puffed out her cheeks, which took away any intimidating look the girl had.
"BAHAHAHA WHAT THE HECK BAKUGOU?!"
Nova glanced over at Bakugou as Sero and Kirishima laughed at him over his hair.
She hadn't seen him since Mt Lady reset the buildings for them. She had passed out after letting go, Zel never told her where him and Jeanest went.
She turned away as his friends laughed at him. Touching her own hair nervously, fiddling with some of the longer strands. She couldn't help but sympathize with Bakugou, while it was different... She knew what it was like to have someone force you to alter your appearance. Jeanest seemed like a strict man, with good morals that were occasionally misplaced.
"SHUT UP OR ILL KILL YOU!!" Bakugou snapped, his hair popping back up.
Maybe Jeanest should have focused more on his personality, rather than his hair.
Nova sat down as Uraraka started talking to Tsu, Momo, Jirou and Mina. Laying her head on her desk.
The other five girls always seemed so close, mean while Nova had only befriended Uraraka. Should couldn't help but feel a little left out. She remembered their first day, when they all agreed to stick together because they were the only girls.
Although they didn't seem to Hate Nova anymore, her last name still tore a rift between her and the others. Making a barrier she was too nervous to try and cross.
"Did you guys hear about Stain?" Denki asked a few other students. They were sitting close behind Nova and now Iida.
Iida just barely stiffened, which didn't seem all that weird for him. But Nova caught it as a nervous reaction to the mere mention of the villain. Nova felt the same, but tried not to show it. Keeping her head on her desk, which was now just common practice for her.
"The news is saying he was probably a part of the league, since they attacked Hosu with those Nomu at the same time he was out."
"Can you imagine if he had been at the USJ? Gives me shivers just thinking about it." Ojirou whispered nervously.
Nova frowned. While technically Stain wasn't in the same area as the Nomu... She vaguely remembered what he said to her after she was paralyzed.
About Shigaraki wanting her hands.
That seemed like a clear indicator they had at least communicated. But the league and him didn't seem to align. Stain talked about seeing All Might as the only hero worthy of killing him. The only perfect pro...
While Shigaraki was set on killing him.
Him being involved with the league didn't make sense, besides Stain also didn't seem interested in tracking down and killing heroes in training. He only tried to kill Iida because... Well Iida wanted to kill him.
None of their ideologies seemed to align.
But Nova didn't know much about the criminal underworld. Maybe villains communicated far more than Nova thought. If that was the case she couldn't help but wonder...
If there was a villain out there who knew her father better than she did.
"You see that video?"
"What video?"
"Apparently some cop assigned to the hero killers case released a video giving all the information they knew about him. What he wanted, why he killed pros and even how he grew up." Kaminari said. "The guy totally got fired over it from what I heard."
"Why? Shouldn't that stuff be common knowledge? Why hide what he wanted to do from the public?" Ojirou asked.
"I heard about that... They said it was classified because the Information was deemed unreliable, but there's a theory going around that they didn't want it to inspire other villains to rise up." Midoriya was suddenly in the conversation now. Nova began to tune out of it.
Talk of Stain made her too anxious.
