DEATH

Ring

ViiHolic

"Director Oh." Lisa was surprisingly very polite this time.

"Is there something you need?" Sehun asked with a smile but his eyes weren't smiling. He was an ungrateful and fickle man in his eyes. He had probably attached the title of 'playgirl' on Lisa. To be honest, he has wronged Lisa by thinking like this.

It was me who refused to let her go.

Lisa was visibly having an internal conflict. Everyone knew that she rejected me before so she would be shooting herself in the foot by speaking. Sehun wasn't the only one who knew. Rosé and Jennie saw it clearly as well. Despite that, she still asked after much struggle.

"Is Irene... okay?"

Sehun snorted. Lisa was naturally unable to understand the reason behind the snort. I understood since I knew the truth. That snort contained his mockery, scorn, heartache and helplessness.

I was really worried that he would just tell Lisa the truth.

Fortunately, Sehun was still Sehun. He was still the Sehun who would keep his promise with very high forbearance. He leisurely lit a cigarette and let Lisa wait.

Only after the whole car park was completely silent did he indifferently and slowly said, "You have no right to be concerned about Irene's matter anymore..."

Lisa would definitely be angry after hearing this sentence. She would most certainly turn around to leave and never ask about me again. I wasn't expecting her to do anything else. Her actions had always been predictable.

What made me uneasy was the fact that she actually stood there without moving. She didn't even look angry. She was like a newly married wife who was facing the madam. She spoke politely and uneasily, "Please tell me... If not, I will feel guilty."

Lisa had always been like this. She always spoke without thinking twice. Unfortunately, Sehun had always been sensitive.

"And here I thought you still had some kindness in you to ask about Irene but it was actually to rid yourself of your guilt." He said in mockery.

Though his words were misinterpreted, Lisa wasn't angry. She quickly and politely explained, "That's not what I meant. I'm just... worried about Irene..."

She was worried about me?

"You're worried about her?!" It wasn't just me. Sehun was also shocked to hear that sentence from Lisa who had always despised and abused me.

If I were still alive, I would be willing to be abused by her for twenty or even thirty years just to hear that sentence from her. This was not mentioning the ten years that I was with her.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry now that I had heard it. I would rather she didn't say that.

It was too late to hear it now regardless of whether it was real or fake. I'm already dead. I can't possibly revive now.

Lisa lowered her eyes when she heard Sehun's sarcastic tone. It was already remarkable for a headstrong person like her to humbly listen to someone else for so long while being scorned.

Sehun ignored her and started his car. Lisa knew that she was not going to get an answer from Sehun. She didn't know that the person who was always obedient and concerned for her was dead.

"Please let Irene know that I'm very worried about her and ask her to contact me!" She could only knock on the car window pitifully and ask Sehun to pass on her message to me.

Sehun ignored her and drove away condescendingly.

I watched as Lisa returned home dispirited. She laid down on the sofa but she lost the comfort of her usual days.

I have seen her unhappy look before in the past. She was unhappy because of me. Usually, she would fiercely throw the pillow on the sofa. Then I would head over willingly and ask her what was wrong. She would then be able to direct her anger at me. I was more effective than a pillow.

However, it seemed like she didn't care about the pillow if I wasn't there for her to vent her anger.

She started trying to call me. She called for a few times but there was only the notification that my phone was switched off. She became more downcast.

She was worried about me but I was also feeling upset. I would rather she roared at me.

It was because of my weakness that we became what we are today.

She laid on the sofa dispirited and ended up falling asleep.

Although there was a heater, one might still catch a cold without a blanket during winter. This person cannot take care of herself at all when I'm not around. How worrying.

The first thing Lisa did when she woke up was to check her phone. In the past, I would always force her to switch off her phone before sleeping as I was worried about the radiation. However, she didn't switch off her phone last night. She put down her phone in disappointment and laid back on the sofa.

I was right by her side watching her yet I couldn't do anything when I saw her like this.

Then she suddenly sat up. Her eyes had a peculiar light as if she remembered something. She picked up the handset and dialed with her slightly trembling fingers.

The number she was calling was for the directory assistance.

"Hello, please give me the number for Crown's moving company."

I quickly understood. She could find out where I had moved to after asking the moving company which helped me move.

However... I wouldn't be there.

Lisa was happy yet nervous at the same time. I normally wouldn't expect such emotions to have been caused by me but I can only say that it was hard to predict what will happen in life.

She quickly dressed up after getting the address. She even checked herself in the mirror. Then she rushed downstairs to her car.

She was still visibly excited in her car but I could only feel sad as I watched her.

I had always thought that we wouldn't have any connections after I died.

If it was actually so exciting to see me, why didn't you show that even once when I was alive?

The place that I moved into was a newly bought villa by Sehun at Sungbuk-dong. However, Sehun probably wouldn't move in after I had died there.

After a twenty-plus minutes ride, a white three-story building with a front courtyard appeared before our eyes. Buchon Village is a luxury residential area so every villa is well distanced from one another. The white and tidy street was also relatively empty. Lisa parked her car at the side of the road and came out.

The gate at the front courtyard was locked and it was locked from the outside. It didn't look like someone was living inside. Seeing this, Lisa stared blankly.

She thought that she would definitely get to see me when she rushed here.

She didn't give up. She grabbed the iron gate railing and shook it. She faced the quiet white house and shouted my name a few times.

Naturally, there was no answer.

She wasn't resigned to it. She took out her phone and called the moving company again.

After confirming with the moving company that this was the correct place, she shouted my name a few more times but to no avail.

Lisa wasn't someone who gives up easily. She removed her outerwear and started climbing the fence.

Fortunately, Sehun wasn't so extreme. On the fence that was full of boston ivy, there was no glass shards or electrical wiring.

After Lisa climbed over, she looked around hesitantly. Then she walked on the small pathway in the nicely decorated courtyard towards the door and knocked on the door.

The door wasn't locked. She was only knocking for show. After knocking for a bit, she opened the door by herself.

It was empty inside. The floor was decorated and the wall was painted. However, there wasn't any furniture. The house looked as if it was waiting for someone to move in. When I saw Lisa standing there lost, I felt a pang in my heart.

She walked in. The sound of her footsteps reverberated in the empty house. She first took a look around the first floor. Then she went up to the second floor by the spiral staircase in the hall.

There was a simple bed on the second floor.

She didn't know that that was where I slept for the last time.

However, she still stopped.

It was filled with many things that I had left behind. Sehun probably didn't know what to do with them so he left them here.

After spending ten years with me, Lisa only needed one glance to know that those were my items. She walked forward and took a careful look as though she was possessed.

Her slender fingers swept past my books. It touched the bedding that I brought along after moving out of my "home" in a fit of pique and some other random items and my few luggage.

She opened the luggage one by one. I felt so helpless because she had managed to guess the password to my luggage in one try.

Other than my clothing, the rest of the items inside were my treasures.

I had long lost my dignity because of my love for her. I'm not afraid of letting her see.

My treasures were all related to her. I had collected all the limited edition and deluxe edition CDs released since her debut days. There were also photo albums, recordings and portraits, etc. It was basically the collection of a fanatic fan.

Of course, what I had more than normal fans were some of the apparels she wore during her performance. I never received any gifts from her before so I could only feel happy from collecting these. I would also without hesitantly purchase items that were sold in bazaars.

She once told me in disdain that this wasn't love but infatuation.

I didn't see any difference between the two.

She looked for a while. She had rather sharp eyes as the item she grabbed was a small velvet box.

The item that laid in the box was a simple silver ring.

She stared blankly for a moment before she took it out and looked at it.

Then she lost her calm expression. It became confused, warm, and sad.

I dare to say that she didn't even remember that we had that ring before she picked it up.

When she was 20 years old, I gave her a simple silver ring.

Amongst all the gifts that I gave her, the only thing she was fond of was the earring that Mr. Babin designed. As for the ring, she only looked at it in ridicule before she threw it somewhere.

A ring was a very small object. If you didn't treasure it, finding it would be very difficult once you lose it.

I had never dared to let her know that it was a pair of rings.

The ring that I gave her was carved with "J".

J is "Joohyun".

She tried wearing the ring. However, I didn't have beautiful hands so the size of my fingers would definitely be bigger than her beautiful and slender fingers. It was loose on her fingers so she held the ring in her hand bitterly.

Sometimes Lisa was really beyond my understanding. She held onto that small ring in appreciation and sat there from sunrise to sunset.

Her expression was very gentle and sad.

I didn't know why she was like this. I felt afraid of seeing her like this.

I was afraid that she would suddenly realize that she actually liked me a little.

She must not realize. If she does, then I have made a grave mistake.
