august 7th
although only 5 days have passed, a lot has changed. soobin seemed more...distant? yeonjun wasn't sure what to call it. it was weird because it has never happened before.
soobin wasn't his old self. he didn't bother texting yeonjun anymore. he only replied dryly. he was hanging out a lot more with arin. it bothered yeonjun how arin was getting more attention than him.
whenever yeonjun texted soobin his usual "morning soobie <333" he was only met with "morning yeonjun <3". yeonjun was trying his best to be positive by saying "at least he added the heart". it was still upsetting though. it was their own special thing to add a billion hearts but now it was only yeonjun who cared enough to continue doing it.
soobin didn't bother replying when he saw the messages from yeonjun. he'd only answer once he was bored and had nothing else to do.
yeonjun slowly stopped texting him as much as he used to. he thought maybe if he stopped annoying soobin so much, the other would miss him and text first.
yeonjun would wait for hours staring at his phone. he checked over the messages to make sure he didn't miss it. yet there was nothing there.
yeonjun thought maybe soobin was busy, right? he decided that he'd start waking up super early for him so then soobin would have time to talk to him. yeonjun smiled thinking it was a brilliant idea.

it was 6 am exactly when yeonjuns loud alarm starting blaring, echoing in his room. "ughh why the hell did i even think of this" yeonjun whined. moments after he quickly remembered that this was for his baby so he had to get up.
he was feeling ecstatic. he was sure his plan would work well. maybe everything going on was all in his head. he just needed to give soobin more attention.

GUESS WHAT I WOKE UP EARLY JUST FOR YOUUUU
yeonjun felt satisfied with his text and decided to scroll on tiktok. that wasn't a good idea though because 10 minutes later he fell asleep.
at around 9 am he suddenly jolted out of bed. "OH MY GOD I FELL ASLEEP" yeonjun scolded himself for a while because he promised himself he wouldn't sleep.
he quickly checked his phone but there was no reply from soobin yet. "i thought he always woke up early so how come he hasn't answered" yeonjun pouted. he assured himself that maybe his beloved lover finally got some sleep for once.
3 hours later a message came in.

oh, i didn't get the notification mb
yeonjun felt angry that soobin didn't think about texting him and not even just that but he didn't even say good morning back or ask how he is. no apology either, just a "my bad"
he felt so stupid for thinking soobin would go back to the way he was before. "your such an idiot yeonjun, of course waking up early was a stupid and useless idea" a couple tears welled in his eyes. he was so confused as to why soobin was even acting this way.
