Training
Aura's POV
I started training week later. I kept having flashbacks of my life before "the fire tornado of doom" as Adam called it. I was walking fine and training with the low levels to get me into the groove. Some yellows were throwing dodgeballs at me. I dodged quickly as a girl named Rose used super speed to throw the dodgeballs. Bob was hurling some at me with his super strength. Chase smiled from the wall as I nailed Bob in the face. He fell down and I laughed. I started chucking some dodgeballs at Rose and she threw one at my face. I felt time slow down and jumped to the side. The ball hit my shadow that was stuck in the place I'd been and was standing upright. It faded and I grinned. I threw a ball and it hit Rose's knees, knocking her to the ground. I quickly hurled one at her face when she looked up and it knocked her out. I wooped in triumph and fist pumped. I walked over to Chase and high fived him. I slid into the locker room and washed my face. I stepped back out and ran into Chase. He fell over and laughed. I blushed and helped him up. He scratched the back of his neck.
"Sorry. With my luck, I just had to crash into a teacher first day." He laughed and looked up. "You don't need to apologize. I walked into you." I smiled. "I guess we'll just both be sorry then. See ya later." I hurried off to class. I had some combat classes with yellows to get me up to par so I could join reds. When I walked in, Spin hit me on the arm. "Good job at dodgeball. I always like to see Bob lying on his face." I smiled and walked to the front. Bree started talking about speed-fighting. They put me in classes with all the mentors so I could find out what abilites I had. Bree set me up with a simulation. Five enemies came at me. My arms moved in a blur and hit three of them. They fell down. The other two charged. I jumped to the side and tripped them with a fast motion. One of them got up and I landed ten punches on his chest. He crumpled. I moved faster than I could see. One behind me tried to tackle me but I elbowed his face. He collapsed and one by one, the remaining soldiers attacked. I put down each one with moves faster than I could blink. I took off the simulation glasses and smiled slyly. Bree smiled and pressed some buttons. Chase came in and walked over to her. He put his hand over his mouth, whether in awe or thought I don't know. His face lit up. I guessed she was showing him my footage. He removed his hand and talked into Bree's ear. I didn't know why, because he was speaking loudly. "You think she has super speed?" he asked. Bree shook her head. "The way she moved didn't show super speed. I think it's just speed fighting like I do sometimes, but much stronger and faster." He nodded. "I don't know. I didn't control it, I just... moved." I said. They turned to look at me. "Did you just hear our conversation?" Chase asked. I nodded. "Welp, now she has super hearing. Speed fighting, super hearing, something like commando app.." He looked away when he said commando app. "What's next? She catches fire and flies?" I laughed. "As far as I know, I've already done both." "Fair enough."
"What's commando app?" I asked. He scratched the back of his head. Must be his nervous habit. "You basicly go into a weird trance where you power up, get angry, and usually act weird. I have it."
I giggled. "What's your weird act? You become Adam?" He laughed. "No, I actually get a really deep voice and get super strength.. Actually, I basicly do become Adam. Wow. Atleast it isn't as bad as Spikette." Bree giggled. "Who's Spikette?" I asked, innocently. "Uhm.." He coughed. "Well..-" Bree cut him off. "She was a student here with commando app. Her weird act is that she babies people. The last victim was Chase. She's manly and all, but she starts protecting them and acting bizarre." I nodded and laughed. "Oh, Aura, Douglas and Davenport want to see you. I'll walk you down there after class." I blushed and nodded. We set out after Spin took out some enemies and Bob got mugged by the simulation. We walked through the dorms and passed mine. I giggled as I remembered how Adam had made my plaque with crayons. Douglas and Davenport were waiting for us. Davenport motioned for me to sit down. "We have a few things to explain. First off, Marcus isn't my kid. His real self died a few years ago in an attack in the lab I worked at. I used his DNA to make the android. The lab, Cascade Labratories, is the one you destroyed, Aura. Your aunt worked there too, but it was shut down after the accident with Marcus, his sister, and parents. All were believed dead afterwards. I attended the funerals for Marcus and his parents, but the girl never had a funeral. She wasn't seen again. If she were alive, she'd be your age, Aura.
Marcus was your brother."
