93: 𝑇𝑒𝑎𝑚𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑓𝑜𝑢𝑟

Life wasn't completely normal. But the students of 1A tried their best to make it that way.
Most of the group were trying to be as accepting of Todoroki as possible. Trying to understand him and his motives. But it wasn't exactly an easy thing for some of them. Especially not with the scars on Kira's face being a stark reminder of his crimes. Sure he hadn't marked her himself, but they all knew he was the one that gave her to the league of villains.
The only one who didn't seem to care about all of that was Kira herself.
Which led to Todoroki being attached to her hip and following her around in almost every group setting.
Which then pissed off Bakugou. Who was normally the one following her around in group settings.
Which led to a lot of yelling from both Kira and Bakugou. And Todoroki apologizing and hiding in his room.
It was a very complicated situation. One Kira could hardly handle. On one hand Todoroki was great, on the other hand she did want a little space. But she also didn't want to say that because she was one of the only people willing to be completely normal around him.
All of this was overshadowed though, in light of everything else going on in the world. Countless Villains from Tartarus were roaming the streets, the highest class Villains Japan has ever seen. Some of which were put in my UA themselves.
Something they'll have to do again.
Relaying on kids hurt every pro hero left. But they didn't have a choice, they had to use every ally they could for the greater good.
"Today you all join the search!"
Mt Lady said to the first year students infront of her. "If it weren't for the mess you'd all be second years by now. And as you know the pros in Japan are spread thin. Because of that we'll have to use you all as heroes!"
"We understand Mt Lady!" Tenya said. "We're honored to be trusted with such a task!"
"We're positioning you all on the streets we assume are less dangerous. You're just patrolling, but expect to be met with Violent resistance." All Might said. "We're splitting you up into five groups. Headed by Iida, Momo, Kokoa, Midoriya and Bakugou."
All Might said, looking at his list. He looked at three types of people when deciding this.
Strategists, Leaders and powerhouses.
Momo and Kokoa were strategists. Iida was a natural leader. Bakugou and Midoriya were both power houses.
"I trust you all to fall into groups with people you work well with. It's your decision though." All Might nodded. "We leave in ten minutes." He held up a small device. "Whoever's team Todoroki ends up on, one member will carry this control, the button deactivates his quirk restraints when a certain code is punched in. He's permitted to use his quirk IF the need arises."
Todoroki stared at the the box. Blinking in surprise, he hadn't expected to be able to use his quirk this soon. Even if as a last resort. He glanced over at Kira. Assuming she'd be the only one willing to take him.
"Alright I-"
"Hell no." Bakugou snatched the box. "Icy hot's with me." He said with a serious expression. "No way in hell I'm letting him go with Kira's group. Not with the possibility of him using his quirk. Besides if he happened to go nuts while able to use it... Id be one of the best bets to stop him. Or Deku I guess, but my heat would work better against his crazy ice quirk."
Todoroki paled and glanced back at Kira who shrugged. She would protest but technically Bakugou had a good point. Not that she expected Todoroki to betray them.
She caught Bakugou's eye and mouthed 'Be nice' which caused him to wrinkle up his nose with a frown.
"Guess I'm with you guys then!" Kirishima said with a toothy smile.
"We should spread Jirou, Kira, Shoji and Koda throughout the teams. Since their quirks are good at searching for people nearby." Momo said. "We should do the same with those who have powerful offensive quirks."
"Like Todoroki and Bakugou... But I think we should keep that match up regardless." Momo thought with a frown, knowing Bakugou's reasons.
"I wanna be on Kira's team then!" Denki put his hand up with a smile. "My quirks good offense."
"Five minutes." All Might called from where he was speaking with Naomosa and Mt Lady.
Kira looked around at her classmates. She needed two more students. She was just a little disappointed that she wasn't going with Bakugou. But she understood they were needed separately.
She cast him and Todoroki one final glance, then looked back at her own team.

Kira, Denki, Tsu and Ojirou ended up forming a team. While Bakugou, Todoroki, Kirishima and Jirou formed another.
Then Midoriya, Uraraka, Shoji and Hagakure. While the remaining classmates split up between Momo and Iida. The students were given directions and communication devices before they were allowed to leave the dorms
"Yo this is gonna be so cool, I haven't been able to do anything manly since the Villa raid!" Kirishima cheered, hitting two hardened fists together with a grin.
"Not like we did much then." Jirou mumbled, putting a hand against her headphones. Listening to their surroundings as well.
"Yeah but that fight with Machia was pretty damn cool!" Kirishima argued.
Todoroki looked down, walking towards the back of the group. Obviously he hadn't helped out in the fight that freed Kira, considering the fact that he had been in jail... For kidnapping Kira.
Kirishima glanced back at Todoroki. Who quietly walked with them. Kirishima was having a small moral dilemma. On one hand he understood the pain Todoroki faced, and the reason he was forced to do what he did.
On the other hand he could still see Kira as she stumbled out of the woods, bleeding out and on the verge of death. All because Todoroki had brought her into that hell. He couldn't just forget that...
But he could try to forgive.
"So Todoroki, this might be a soft spot but... You could be a real ally. Knowing all you do about the league and stuff." Kirishima said, falling back and slinging an arm around his shoulders.
"You really think so?" Todoroki said, looking up at Kirishima, he almost seemed hopeful. Dispite his stone faced expression.
"Sure I do!" The enthusiastic redhead said happily.
"There's something going on up ahead." Jirou warned the ground, putting a hand up and her ear aux to the ground.
"Aren't we starting to reach where Shiketsu is supposed to be patrolling?" Kirishima asked, moving away from Todoroki.
"Those idiots can't do shit!" Bakugou said, stomping forward.
"There's some sort of fight, a lot of vibrations too. Almost like an Earthquake but... Above ground." Jirou frowned. "It seems familiar.
"Could be the second year from Shiketsu." Todoroki spoke up. "Didn't he have a quirk like that?"
"We should check it out." Kirishima said.
"Fucking of course we're gonna check it out!" Bakugou snapped. "Stay behind me! I'm your leader! Got it?!" He stomped forward, earning an eyeroll from Jirou.
They ended up coming towards a huge cloud of dust, the sounds of yelling and fighting were definitely growing louder. The team braced themselves as they walked closer.
Having no idea what could be going on inside the dust cloud.

Managed to find time to write a little! Updates are gonna be farther between and random for awhile.
For those of you who don't follow my announcements. Helene (a hurricane traveling through north America) passed close enough to my area to do some substantial damage to our power. It's been out for over two days and people are saying it might be a week or more.
Soooo I can't write as often as I have been! But don't worry, me and my loved ones are completely safe. It's just dealing with the aftermath of it.
No electricity, so no Wi-Fi, running water in my house and limited options to charge devices.
