66: 𝑊𝑎𝑟
A decisive battle is upon us.
An all out war between the villains of the paranormal liberation front and the heroes sworn to protect this world...
"Team endeavor will lead the raid on the hospital in Jaku." Naomosa explained.
It had been a week since Hawk's warning. The heroes were preparing to launch an attack on the liberation army before they reached their full strength.
They had two headquarters. That the heroes knew of at least. One was in a hospital. A doctor there had been seen with a Nomu. He's suspected to be the man behind their creation.
While the other was a villa in the mountains owned by one of Yotsubashi Chikara's descendants. A man known as re-destro.
"And Team Edgeshot will lead the attack on the Villa. Both events will happen simultaneously. It will be carried out by pros and armed officers. Licensed hero course students will be there as well. Tasked as emergency backup and civilian rescue." Naomosa explained. Diagrams and notes popping up on the screen behind him. "We ask you to move with caution. While we know there will be thousands of enemies... We are also aware that they have at least one hostage."
A picture appeared behind him. A teenage girl in a UA uniform. Her face clearly shown, thought she wasn't paying attention to whoever was taking it. The photographer/journalist who had visited the school forever ago.
"The hero course student Kira Kokoa is confirmed to have been taken captive by the liberation army. She could be at either location and as heroes our upmost priority is the preservation of innocent life. Her and any other civilian will be evacuated unharmed as soon as possible and taken away from combat immediately." Naomosa said. He tried his best to remain professional. Not let them see how personal this aspect of the mission was.
While it wasn't strictly a rescue mission. Saving Kira was obviously a priority on most of the heroes parts. Naomosa had to make sure the ones who didn't know her were aware of her presence. To keep them from simply destroying everything they could.
"Shigaraki. The doctor and his pets. Every villain must fall. The idea of this raid is to destroy the liberation army in one move." Naomosa continued. "But it's possible they might attempt to use the presence of Kokoa and other innocents to their advantage. So anyways keep in mind one of the biggest rules of being a hero... If you have to choose between capturing a villain and getting an innocent out alive."
He looked up as the pros nodded.
"Always choose the innocent."

The hero course students were spread out.
Most were positioned far off the Villa. Acting as support if anything goes wrong or if any villains possibly make it that far out. While four were taken into direct combat due to their long range quirks.
Tokoyomi and Denki from class 1A both had quirks suited too take out multiple enemies from a distance. Along with two other students from 1B; Kinoko and Juzo.
While a few other students were positioned by the hospital to evacuate civilians if things get out of hand. The group by the hospital consisted of Bakugou, Midoriya, Uraraka, Tenya, Koda and Tsu.
All of 1B and most of class 1A stood on a hill over looking the Villa. Able to see the army of pros approaching it in the distance.
"I wish we could be up there. Doing something actually useful." Kirishima said, hitting his fists together. "Denki and Tokoyomi get to be up where all the action is."
"Yeah it's totally not fair." Sero whined.
"We shouldn't complain. Instead be alert and wait for any word from the others." Momo advised.
"Do you guys really think she's in there?" Mina whispered. Looking at the Villa. "All by herself? What if she gets hurt during the attack?"
"What if she's already hurt?"
The thought was in all of their minds. The worry echoing. They didn't know everything, they didn't know about Midoriya's dream or anything that Kira had said to him. They simply knew the pros found out where she was and that Todoroki was behind it.
Todoroki...
The class was devastated over knowing Todoroki was a spy. That he killed Mineta and kidnapped Kira.
The guy they had been training with. That they had faught beside several times. That they picked up for being so sheltered and oblivious. For being weird and having a completely different room than everyone else.
Todoroki who fought with Midoriya to try and save Bakugou from being kidnapped.
Todoroki who used to take Uraraka and Hagakure shopping with his dad's card.
Todoroki who would make Soba in the dorms for anyone who asked.
Who drank tea with Momo.
Who suggested having a concert for the festival.
Todoroki was one of them. Or at least that's what they had thought.
Was it all an act?
All they knew was that he had Kidnapped Kira. Who was also a beloved member of their class. Though she came in later it didn't take all that long for them to love her.
Not to mention all she's done for them. The amount of times she put her own safety on the line to protect them. Even now... She was kidnapped because she was trying to solve a crime to protect their class.
If they had to pick sides. Who to believe and who to reject it was obvious who they would choose.
Kira.
"I wish they would let us get closer!" Hagakure mumbled. "If they let me I could have snuck around and maybe found her."
"Or you could have gotten caught." Momo gave the girl a frown. "We're just students. They don't want us barging into actual combat."
"Yeah yeah..." Hagakure mumbled. Crossing her arms.
"I'm sure wherever Kira is she'll be okay... She's always been super tough... Right?" Jirou asked nervously.
"Yeah." Momo agreed. She was worried for Kira, it didn't matter how tough you were if you don't have the opportunity to protect yourself. Kira was in real danger.
But she would try to keep up positivity among their classmates.
"I mean she is the only member of your class worthy of being in the hero course." Monoma mused with a smirk.
"Really Monoma? Now's not the time." Kendo rolled her eyes. "Their friend was kidnapped!"
"Hey! I'm here friend too!" Monoma argued back with a frown. "I want her safe just as much as anyone."
"Awh that's sweet!" Hagakure gasped. "I didn't realize you had a heart!"
"Ew, go away!" Monoma shooed Hagakure as she giggled and came closer to him.
"Hey guys!" Jirou put her hand up. Earphones in the ground. "I think it's starting." She whispered. Catching onto each rumble. Even from a large distance away the sound of combat echoed through the earth as the battle began.
A battle that the thought would end a long conflict between villains and heroes...
Little did they know, they were starting a war.
