A/N: I have one thing to say....

Ahahaha

"I mean really, I don't know how you guys managed to get anything done without me." Kira said, spinning around in an office chair.

"We manage fine Kira." Detective Naomasa said with a frown. "Hey aren't you supposed to be cleaning out the coffee pots?"

"Done." Kira shrugged.

"In two minutes?" The detective raised his eyebrows.

"Five, and yes. Don't underestimate my power." Kira yawned. "I want something cool to happen." She whined.

"You're not allowed in combat until Aizawa gives back your license." Naomosa reminded her.

"Yeah but there can be other cool things." Kira stopped spinning. "Like a lead in an investigation... Or a Homicide!"

"We don't want that to happen Kira." The detective rubbed his eyes. "Homicides are bad."

"That's fair." Kira admitted, the phone rang and Naomosa sighed and picked it up.

"Musutafu PD, this is detective Naomasa." He answered, then his brows bent together. "And you think it's a homicide?" He asked.

Kira sat up.

"I'm more of a criminal investigator, but we have a Homicide detective on staff-" He was apparently cut off. "Me specifically? Really? That's odd... I'll be right over."
He hung up and looked at Kira. Pulling on his coat. And waving her over.

"Well you got your wish."

"Hello Naomosa. How's the wife?"

Kira and Naomosa had arrived at a morgue. Meeting the mortician named Alex down where they store the bodies in freezers. Alex was tall and probably in his fifties. Balding everywhere except around the crown of his head, under his white coat Kira caught a glimpse of a brightly colored tie-dyed shirt. He was holding a cup of odd smelling tea.

"She's fine. How's everything going with..." Naomosa stopped nervously. Thinking better of whatever he was about to ask.

"My divorce?" Alex waved his hand and took a sip of his tea. "Meh, when you've been through four it gets easier. She has a fierce lawyer though, looks like she's taking everything."

"All because of stupid tea..." The Bald man thought, shaking his head... And sipping his tea, that smelled suspiciously of chives.

'Four?!' Kira thought, hiding her shock.

"Right..." Naomosa said awkwardly. "So what's all this about?" He asked, clearing his throat.

Alex glanced at Kira before he was willing to talk about the body. Nervous about what her reaction would be.

"It's fine. Not like I've never seen a dead body before." Kira shrugged, holding her medical mask over her nose.

"You have?" Naomosa asked in concern. "Oh yeah the suicide... Is that it?!"

Kira waved him off and Alex shrugged before he opened the door. Taking them into a room with a body laying on a table in the center.

It looked worse off than the people Kira had seen before. Or rather older. Kira had seen dead people before, normally they were fresh. Most were killed right in front of her.

"He was found on the edge of a lake. He'd apparently washed up. But it looks like he has been dead for eight to eleven months." Alex started.

"It's so small... Is he... Was he a kid?" Naomosa asked, putting a hand over his mouth and rubbing it down.

"We thought so at first because of his height. He's around three feet, or 108 Centimeters." Alex nodded, but he's actually between the ages of fourteen and eighteen." Alex pointed at his chest and head.

The boy wasn't very recognizable, his face mostly rotted off. His skin pale and almost grey. His head was covered in some weird substance, it was black and almost looked like dried tar.

"Shot twice, once in the head once in the chest. Chest first from farther away, head at point-blank range afterwards." He held up the bullets. From a handgun.

"What's on his head?" Kira asked, walking around to look closer.

"We're not sure yet. We sent a sample to testing, were assuming it's a quirk based substance." He reached in a drawer and pulled something else out. "From this."

It looked like rotten fruit. Or a deflated ball, black and sitting in the same black substance. "We found it rotting on a tree on the edge of the lake. The opposite side he was found on."

"Sick." Kira whispered, looking at the weird item.

"The results should come in soon." Alex smiled slightly at Kira as she leaned closer to get a better look.

"Alright. It's interesting but I don't understand why you wanted me specifically to come here." Naomosa asked with a frown.

"Oh yeah. Well you're heading up the league case right?" Alex asked.

Naomosa nodded.

Alex grabbed another bag and held it up. "He was wearing this." Kira's eyes widened and Naomosa's mouth dropped open in shock

Kira felt her stomach drop when she looked through the clear plastic...

"Shit."

"Listen. Sit down, I have some... Disturbing news." Aizawa said, standing infront of the class. "Or rather we do." He nodded at Kira.

This obviously got everyone's full attention. 'Disturbing news?'

"This can't be good."

"Hahaha I'm in danger."

"Why can't it ever be good news??"

"Lol who died?"

"Kira?" Aizawa nodded. "You start off, I'll deliver the final news."

"Right." Kira nodded. "I'm interning with the police department still. And we were called to investigate a body that had been found on the shore of lake Umi." She explained.

"Damn... That's like... Pretty close eto UA isn't it? Scary."

"Like a dead one?" Denki asked.

Kira sighed. "Yes Denki. A dead one." She said with a frown.

"As you're aware normally this isn't news we would share for no reason." Aizawa took over. "But... The body has been positively identified...." He took in a slow deep breath.

"As Minoru Mineta."

The class all gasped in shock. Mineta? Their formal classmate Mineta?!

"It's estimated he died not more than a few days after the USJ incident." Aizawa continued.

"Jeez. Mineta?! How?"

"Wow someone did die... Called it!"

"He probably deserved it."

"And we care why?"

"...shit."

"Womp womp, ribbit."

"It is good news!"

"That's scary."

"Is it... Connected to the league?!"

Kira noticed how most of the negative thoughts about Mineta were thought by her female classmates. She had heard some salty thoughts about him before, but she didn't know he was bad enough to hate on right after hearing he died.

"Leading us to believe that the league was involved." Aizawa finished. "Unfortunately we didn't know he was missing until now. His mother found a note after the USJ attack. Saying he was running away because he didn't want to be... Be attacked by villains. It's confirmed to be his handwriting and his fingerprints were in fact found on it. So it's unlikely it was forged."

"The investigation is still fresh but we have no leads other than the league. But that's not enough and it's just a theory." Kira added. "I'll keep you guys in the loop though. Naomosa is letting me help out on the case. As long as it doesn't get dangerous."

"It was probably a girl he harassed." Mina whispered to Jirou.

"Mina a man is dead! Have some compassion!!" Iida lectured in horror. "He my not have been a model citizen! Or even a good person! But it's too soon to be joking!"

"Yeah yeah." Mina slumped down in her chair. "I bet he totally deserved it. Like I care about the little perv. He can rest in pieces and burn in hell for all I care."

Kira raised an eyebrow at her.

"Don't judge me.. you didn't even know him!"
Mina thought back.

"Why Mineta though?!" Denki asked. "He barely did anything! Was it just because he was a UA student?"

"We're not sure what the motive was. Or even it it wasn't because he was a UA student. But whoever did this was smart enough to hide the body for several months and dispose of evidence connecting them to the crime." Aizawa explained.

"There was no DNA. No evidence of even a struggle, other than one of Mineta's pop off balls left on the base of a tree on the opposite side of the lake." Kira added. "It was in a very low populated area. And it's suspected the body had originally been tied to a weight. But the ropes used broke apart in the water."

"This really is disturbing news..." Sero said, rubbing the back of his neck. "It could have been any of us."

"Good thing it was him."

"This is all so horrible!"

"Man... What if it had been me? Is there some killer out there that chose him over us? He lived like two blocks away from me..."

"The only evidence we have that he was killed on the scene was the fact that his quirk had been used at the lake. That's it." Kira finished. "But I'm gonna figure out what happened."

"Of course you are." Aizawa thought with a tiny bit of pride.

"Or... We can just let him rot! I want to thank that murder-"

"This isn't good."

"I hope she does... But the investigation might get dangerous... This is an actual villain we're talking about."

"She just always has to do all the cool stuff doesn't she...

Stupid Kira."

A/N: So in case you're unaware of the birth of Alex... Or maybe you have just forgotten...

You know how people like to name my time skip bubbles?: °.•.°•.°•.°

Well when I was writing this chapter and had already NAMED Alex. Someone in the comments of another chapter named a bubble "Alex" which I thought was a funny coincidence.

So I responded and added that he was a Mortician. And then someone else said he drank only Chive tea and was on his fifth marriage because his wives kept breaking up with him over his tea...

So I went back and rewrote the scene. Adding all those details.

The original conversation can be found in the comments of chapter 31: Tammy Tanaka

Also his character is Also based loosely on the weird mortician from Psych:

Woody
