[Chapter 2]
Rien POV
"Wooow this place looks so pretty!" I said as we were now in front of Grimshade. Allumos smiled proudly at my comment "Why thank you." I nodded "Yo you want a tour?" Viper asked I shook my head "No thanks I think I can figure things out by myself!" Allumos then looked at Viper "Oh yeah Rien will be staying with you." Viper chocked on the poison that he was drinking "What. Why?!" I smiled widely "Ugh whatever.." he said as Allumos whispered something to him "I have a question Viper." He looked at me "Go on." I smiled "Do you maybe wanna fight." Allumos looked at me giving me the 'no' look "Absolutely not! You'll get yourself injured!" I looked down disappointed "He didn't ask you Allumos....sure we can." I smiled wide Allumos just looked angry at Viper "What?" Viper asked looking at him annoyed "Make sure they don't get hurt." Viper rolled his eyes "Yeah yeah.." I followed Viper as he started walking towards a training area I suppose.
We didn't walk for long before we got there "Alright first off can you make a sword?" Viper asked as we stopped walking "Let me see..." I said before I started thinking. Soon enough a sword that had blue ornaments appeared in my hand it looked dull so it wasn't sharp I ofcourse didn't want to hurt anybody I made another one and this one had purple ornaments in it and I gave it to Viper "Here it's dull." He nodded taking the sword "Let's begin then." He said and I nodded "Let's."
~•After the little fight•~
"COME ON GET OFF THE FUCKING FLOOR!" Viper yelled angry as I was laying down on the ground that we were fighting on before Viper won....and I am now completely drained and tired "No!" I protested for the 467th time now "OH MY-" Viper was about to yell but he was interupted by some guy that looks like he hadn't slept in days "What is going on here?" He asked looked at Viper then down at me and I quickly got up from where I was laying and I hid behind Viper 'Social anxiety I hate you...' I thought as Viper looked back at me "Well this CHILD wouldn't get off from the floor!" Viper said with venomous voice and I just looked innoce at him "Viper you can't be so forceful about it though." He looked at Viper as if he was disappointed? Or I dunno what the expression was..."I was asking them to GET THE HECK UP FOR THE PAST HOUR!"
The tired guy was quiet for a couple of minutes before replying "I guess that that is fair." He went closer to me and then I smiled like a fucking maniac "Ha I-I'm taller then you!" I looked at him with sparkling eyes "Why you- ugh..." He seemed annoyed by me pulling that fact out "Anyway...why were you on the floor?" I was quiet for a minute to not start crying over the fact that I lost a fight to a snek "I lost a fight against Vipy." I said pointing at Viper sadly "Wait- wh- did you just call me Vipy?!" He looked at me giving me death glare through his bandages? That he had on his eyes "Ye." I made the most innocent face that you could never imagine "Okay..well I'm Michael nice to meet you and Viper where is Allumos? I need to speak to him." Michael asked I smiled "N-Nice to meet you too I'm Rien!" Viper then answered Michael's question "Inside." Michael nodded giving a small smile "Thanks bye." And with that Viper left as well because well.....he didn't want to deal with my shit and I kind of ran off too so I could rest up a bit and then wander around the guild since I haven't seen much of it...
After some time that I was wandering around the guild I decided to look at the boards that had missions because well I wanted to know what they were about and let me tell you they were all pretty much boring like there were only some robberies....helping old people cross the road? And find a lost child....and such but nobody has decided to take them so I decided to take it as my duty to help with some of them! Since they are all pretty easy! Now for my disguise or well something that I'll need to do is make myself have the guild mark so that is easy since I can just imagine it! Hehehe this is going to be so much fun!!
~•When Rien got farther away from the guild•~
'Okay so I have a few of these quest things let's see what they all are about..' I opened up the book as I sat down on a bench so I wouldn't stand in anybody's way. After I reviewed the quests I found out that the 1st one was helping an old lady cross the road (I ain't taking money for that one!) 2nd one is to find a lost child 3rd one is to help someone find their clothes from a cloth store since they got taken by the strong wind and the last one is to catch a robber 5th one is to defeat a monster...
I smiled to myself 'I can do this!' Ofcoursly I am going to take money from these people well...except for the crossing road thing that...no just why money for that that should be common sence....so I am going to start from the easier ones to the harder ones 'I can't wait!' With that thought on my mind I ran off to do my 1st quest!
Quest 1:
I walked to the place as quickly as possible so the lady wouldn't wait for long to cross the road "Hello?" I said as I found an old woman standing at the location that I was supposed to be at 'Okay just remember you have to act like an adult who is just short like that Michael guy!' Ofcourse I imagined for myself to look a bit older however I could not grow taller. The old lady turned around "Oh hello are you phraps here to help me cross the road." I smiled brightly "Yes I am!" I said as I held out a hand to her "Thank you very much...how much-" I interrupted her before she could say anything else "No I won't take money for something that should be done by the normal people." I said she just smiled "Very well then...say what is your name?" We were almost at the other side of the road "I'm Rien nice to meet you ma'am." I made a small bow "Nice to meet you Rien I'm Lorraine here take this." She said and handed me a sandwich "Thank you!" I said as I remembered that I have forgotten to eat before leaving so I was pretty hungry "No problem it's the least that I can do in return." Was the last thing she said before leaving.
When she left I went to sit on a bench once again but this time I was eating while looking at the 2nd quest it can't be that hard to find a child especially since I have got some description of her she has brown hair that fade into black, green eyes, white skin with some red markings and her name is Sky 'I wonder why she ran out of her home' I finished my sandwich and I stood up from the bench 'Well I guess that we will figure that out now!'
Quest 2:
I was walking around a large playground I had to resist the urge to play on it because I am on a mission! And my objective is to find a smol child 'Now Skys parents told me her favorite places but they probably don't know her secret places so I have to go look for that' I thought as I hadn't found her in this large playground I had some kind of thought of where she could be hiding....so I went to the most closest yet boring looking place to the playground the forest.....and guess what....I did not find her "Hmm maybe she went into some toy store or....candy store!" I said out loud and I started running well not really but whatever...
I walked into one of the candy stores that looked like most of the kids would go and there in the corner I saw a child eating icecream 'Maybe it's Sky?' I build up all of my courage to ask a random kind in the back if they are sky "Hello are you phraps Sky /last username/?" I putted on my professional talking mode "Huh..yeah? Who are you?" She asked with a sad tone while eating the icecream "I am here to get you back to your parents!" When I said that she looked sad "But I don't want to go home..." She looked down "Why is that if I may ask?" I looked at her "Well my parents don't want to have Charelsin the house....he is my cat that I have found the other day." I nodded smiling a bit "Hey I'm sure that it'll be fine you can talk things out!" I patted the little girls head "O-Okay!" She said and got up from where she was sitting and she payed up for the food.
After a few minutes of walking we arrived at the place "Knock knock!" The door opened not too long after and the girl Sky went over and hugged her parents "I'm sorry for running off like that!" I smiled happy that the 3 of them are all together "We are just so glad that you are back!" The woman said "Oh yeah also here is your award." The man said giving me 4000 J I almost chocked "T-Thank you sir." I turned away after saying goodbye and all that stuff 'This is what I get for not checking the prizes'
Quest:3:
"Hello?" I looked around the store to see that most of the clothes were missing 'This is exactly why you shouldn't have a cloth store exposed to the wind' I thought as I saw that there was no roof in the store "Yes hello are you here to help me find my clothes for this store?" The man asked 'Must be the shopkeeper or something like that'S thought before nodding "Yes it is me do you know where the wind took the clothes?" The man looked in a thought before replying and pointing towards a direction "There near that forest." I nodded smiling at him "I'll be back soon!"
After 1 hour I finally managed to get all of the clothes that were scattered around in a cave "Here." I said a bit tired "Thank you so much!" The man smiling and I gave a tired smile back "Alright I probably should get going."He nodded giving me my reward I guess 4256 J I almost chocked once again so I decided to leave quicker and so I gave the shopkeeper a wave as a goodbye and left.
Quest 4:
So after that whole thing with the clothes I started walking to da villiage that has reported that a robber a one singular robber has been stealing their food "Alrighty...hi!" I yelled smiling at someone who looked really stressed down "Hi I'm Kelsey." I nodded "Rien." I shook his hand "So can you tell me how does this robber look like and couple of other things?" Mr.Kelsey nodded "The robber was wearing all black that had green patterns on their clothes they also sounded like a women and she comes here somwhere around this time so let's go." He says and I quickly hide behind the barrels of alcohol.
The robber was looking around searching for stuff when I attacked her "Gothca!" I murmured under my breath as I pinned the robber down. I then putted down the hood and surely there under me was laying a 25 year old women "Grrhh." She sounded pretty angry 'That really wasn't hard like....did they really have to ask for help for this?' I thought before I went to the one that called "Thank you so much for helping!" He said giving me my reward tha was quite easy to snatch and I have gotten 3201 J which again I almost chocked on since this was such an easy tast but for the next one well that one is going to be tuff..
Quest 5:
I once again entered a creepy cave that was located somwhere in a weird and dark forest so I quickly made a dagger and a sword both of them weren't blunt 'Wait I don't even know how to fight!' I stopped in my tracks as realisation hited me "Well shoot." I cried out 'This is fine just remember to use your magic smartly' I reminded myself I wouldn't want to accidentally trap myself. I looked deeper and I founded bones and meat which must of meant that I was getting close!
When suddently I heard a weird screech and I was being attacked by some weird dog but not dog thing "Ah!" I yelped in shock from that but no worries I did not forget the task that I had to do so I grabbed the sword and I stabbed it right in the chest. I was sitting on the ground exhaling as that terrified me when I heard more 'this will be fine' I putted on my warrior face and I started to fight.
After the fight I went back to get my reward which as always I almost chocked at the reward was 12700 J I could not argue with that one since it was a big harder to do that since the big guy had mini guards I guess? "Thank you." I said before I left smiling widely I am sure that this will help them! I smiled widely as I was getting back to the guild drained and tired from all the work the sun was also already down I looked at my clock to see how late it was 1:00am I almost froze when I saw that 'Well shoot-' When I saw the time I started to run for my life 'Oh boy I'll get so much scolding!'
