(I got a 97 on my math final. First math class I've passed with an A+ 😭)
"Oh! Miss Medic is back! Change your mind and decide to fight?" Jabber greeted as y/n wandered closer, glancing over to Zanka who was still on the ground.
"Ugh... come on. You seriously gave him more of that weird toxin stuff again? Just undoing my hard work..."
"Didn't want him to get up and cause more trouble, that's all." Jabber replied all casual like as y/n stopped in front of him, "If you're so curious about it, I'll give you the same stuff—that is, if you plan on getting in my way."
"Move aside, nerd." y/n plucked him on the forehead and, surprisingly, Jabber proceeded to fall over like a stone statue. She stepped over him and lifted Rudo like a sack of potatoes, "Sorry, but, we've gotta go."
"Wh... What about Gris?" "He'll live. But since you're the target, I'll make an exception and run off with you!"
Y/n gave Zanka a little wave before high tailing it right past him, Rudo in complete shock over the turn of events. So first she ditched him and let Gris get hurt... now she was just going to ditch Zanka, Follo and Gris?!
"So you're not gonna fight him?"
"No! I can't right now, he could just escape with you in tow now that you can't fight back! Think, dude."
"Well— how come he just fell over like that?" Rudo asked as y/n adjusted him on her shoulder, staggering a little.
"Oh, I performed a little bit of acupuncture while he was down." y/n replied simply, "Just as a precaution—it was meant to be a little delayed. His legs won't be out for long though, crazies like him just don't stay down."
"See? Miss Medic gets it."
Y/n flinched and looked to her right, heart skipping a beat when she found Jabber running alongside her with wild eyes.
"You really had me fooled for a second, there. Miss Medic—you're a Giver, aren't you?!"
"Wouldn't you like to know?" y/n retorted before ducking his first swipe, eyes damn near bulging out of her head when the pillar he hit cracked.
Y/n teetered away, stumbling back as she fought to regain her balance with Rudo still slung over her shoulder, "Come on, man, kidnapping—really?"
"Yeah, I thought the same thing, but y'know. Boss's orders," Jabber sighed with a shrug, "So! Miss Medic Giver..." "I'm not a Giver." "Was that needle you stuck me with your vital instrument?"
Y/n's brow twitched, 'This dude doesn't take a hint.'
She glanced at Rudo, then back at Jabber with a frown.
As much as she wanted to thrash this dude for causing so much trouble, she was sure she'd never hear the end of it from anyone if Rudo got snatched up.
So...
Y/n immediately turned and kept running as fast as she could, breaking into a cold sweat when the Raider shouted after her.
"Come on, don't run now!" "I'm not running at all."
Y/n finally reached the hole in the ceiling, jumping up and immediately regretting it as she was hit with the god awful air up top. "That stinks—!" she let out a dry cough and immediately face planted, dropping Rudo like a bag of rocks.
He grunted when he hit the ground—that most definitely hurt, damn! "Ugh... sorry, Rudo."
'Mask... need my mask—' she began to reach for it but rolled out the way instead, narrowly avoiding getting her face punctured with those freakish claws.
Y/n glanced up at Jabber nervously, the crazy 🍑 Raider grinning down at her with that damned bloody nose, "You're pretty fast, but running ain't gonna work anymore."
She raised her hands in surrender, "I know, I'm done."
Rather than immediately murking her, Jabber glanced up, spotting a girl chilling on a pair of large scissors. She pointed at him, "Found you."
Not even a second later he took an umbrella to the gut, going tumbling back into a wall a couple feet away. Y/n noticed a blotch of color on her sleeve and immediately coughed into her arm, covering her mouth and nose to limit the stank air inhalation.
"My oh my, what a mess." the blonde who'd gone and gut checked Jabber with his umbrella glowered at him, "You lured our people into some subbasement to cut off their comms and ambushed 'em while they couldn't call for backup? Typical. If it weren't for Tomme and the others finding a phone nearby, you would've missed out on my ugly mug."
'Ugly is an understatement.' y/n thought as Tomme reached her, grabbing her mask for her and helping her put it on.
"Enjin— look at them. There was clearly a fight... it might be too late for Gris and the others." Tomme began frantically. Enjin gave her a pat on the shoulder with a reassuring smile.
"Not a chance, they wouldn't have gone down so easily. That's why we sent y/n, isn't it?" he turned his attention to her as she took labored breaths, just happy to have some air that didn't smell like 💩.
Y/n halted her frenzied breathing, forcing herself to take a deep breath before glancing at the group. Let's see... Enjin, Tamsy, Delmon, a handful of Supporters and— OH THANK GOODNESS.
"Eishia..!" y/n breathed with sparkling eyes, the girl flinching a little at the sudden mention, "Follo just got knocked around a bit. Gris is stable but Eishia will have to take care of him—same with Zanka, he got hit with two doses of some nasty toxin. They're down below."
"You heard her, you oughta go help them out as soon as possible," Enjin agreed and Tomme nodded, running off with Eishia and the two Supporters following closely.
"Yo... y'all look like you could mess me up real good." Jabber said, getting up a little gingerly—clearly that anesthetic was wearing off. "I'm barely standing and vulnerable... and you all are looking at me like that— careful now, I don't think I can get any harder than this."
They all fell silent. "Eugh... seriously? This is the kinda freak you've been dealing with?" Enjin demanded as he glanced at Rudo who was still laid out like a rug, "No wonder you're in such rough shape!"
The girl with the scissors approached, stopping by Rudo with a smile, "Hey, you're looking better than I expected!" she glanced at y/n, "Wow... and look at you! Don't tell me you actually fought this guy."
"Of course not, who do you think I am?" y/n shot back before letting out another cough that turned into a, "Ghh—! 🚚 my life, it was so damn dusty down there!"
Riyo crouched next to her and pat her back as Tamsy regarded Rudo with a frown, "Better than you expected? The poor kid can barely move."
"That dirty bum rag!" they all glanced over to the hulking man seething at Jabber, "He hurt a member of our team, and that is unforgivable! IT'S UNFORGIVABLE!" "Stop your shouting!"
"Delmon's right, you all should jump this guy," y/n chimed with a pleased smile, "Please and thank you."
"Looks like we'll have to," Enjin hummed as he pointed his umbrella at Jabber, "But we do have a lot of questions for you, Raider. But before we get to that... what makes you think you can mess with the Cleaners then high tail it back to whatever 💩 hole you crawled out of?"
Yikes! Jumpscare—
What was even scarier was how excited Jabber looked, "Woo baby, does that mean you're gonna lock me up? Guess I'll have to think up an escape plan, eh?" he activated his damned vital instrument again, "As fun as that sounds, I've got orders to follow. They were veryyy explicit about bringing Rudo back."
"I'd love to piss you all off a bit more by getting the hell out of here—but I ain't gonna do that. Nah, not even if it means dying! I can't go back until I do what I've been told—man, this sucks 🍑!"
The Cleaners tensed, ready for a fight, only for a pair of arms to snatch Jabber before he could lunge at them. The freakazoid seemed just as surprised as the group of Cleaners as a tiny chick with blue hair popped out from behind him, "Time's up, Jabber. It's time to go."
"Damn it, let go of me Cthoni! I'm not done yet—I just said I couldn't leave without Rudo!"
"No, it's over. The goon squad is in the way, so it's time to leave." Goon squad? That was crazy.
"No way, the game's not over! I ain't about to leave just when it's starting to get good!" Jabber snapped back. Clearly he was about to start ranting but Cthoni cut him off, "When I left, the boss was smiling."
Jabber suddenly fell silent, too silent. There was a scary look on his face and y/n thought he might actually attack them anyways. The two were giving each others looks like they wanted to rip one another to pieces, but, surprisingly...
"Well, well, would you look at that. It's kinda late, huh?" Jabber murmured with a weird grin as Cthoni released him, "I hate to cut things off so soon, but it's about time I head home, y'know?"
Cthoni stepped aside, revealing a strange circle with yellow and blue swirling like some psychedelic lollipop 💩. Riyo frowned at the sight of it, "Wait a sec... is that a manhole in the wall?"
"Huh, they really are like sewer rats." y/n remarked.
Whether or not Jabber heard that comment, he didn't show it, "Hey Rudo, you're not too shabby for a Sphereite. Ah— wait a sec, he's gonna be out for a while, huh... you all do me a favor and tell him I said bye, yeah?"
"Hold it, 🍑hole..." Rudo grit out, trembling as he tried to push himself back to his feet, "This isn't over!"
"Oh wow, you're still awake?"
"You... you hold it right there... you're gonna pay for what you did-! I'm gonna make what you did to Gris look like a damn paper cut! This isn't over till I do!" Rudo shouted at him.
"Ha! Alright, next time we meet, we can..." the Raider trailed off, eyes landing on Rudo's gloves as Cthoni backed away into the strange manhole, "Wait a sec... that symbol..? No way! You've got an object from that series, too!"
Everyone else seemed just as confused as Rudo over this 'series' 'entire but Jabber didn't elaborate further, headed for the manhole.
"The boss'll be so happy to hear about that! I've gotta head out now... Miss Medic, don't go high tailing it next time, okay?" Jabber called as he ducked into the manhole, grinning at them, "Next time I'll be better prepared to leave with Rudo in tow! Take good care of those gloves till then! Till next time~"
With that, he disappeared, the manhole covering itself before it disappeared entirely with a swirl sparks.
"Okay..." Riyo murmured as y/n tipped backwards and flopped on the ground with a sigh of relief.
'I hope I never see that freak again.'
Gris was in pretty rough shape when they brought him and Zanka up from the subbasement, so y/n could understand why Rudo was depressed and stuff.
He was in a garbage mood since they returned to Cleaner HQ and Gris was handed off to the blonde healer who had been tending to him after Jabber split from the scene.
But geez...
"I said he'd be fine. Have some more faith, dude." y/n grumbled from where she was lounging on one of the beds in the clinic, watching as Enjin and Tomme patted away at the frazzled boy's hair.
"How cute, you were all down in the dumps 'cause you thought Gris died saving you from freaky dreadlocks man. You precious wittle softy you." Enjin teased as Gris gave the flushed Rudo a little smile.
"There was really no need to worry, I'm not croaking and dying just yet." Gris chuckled before casting y/n a side eye, "Though that brick she fed me almost took me out."
"I told you, it's not a brick!"
"You can't blame me for being worried!" Rudo protested frantically, trying to duck away from Tomme and Enjin, "People don't usually just walk away from a claw to the chest!"
Gris blinked, then laughed, "They do if the Cleaners' medical team is looking after 'em. Especially this incredible lady here—this is Eishia Stilza, one of our only Givers with healing powers."
Eishia jumped a little before immediately looking down nervously, "It's not that big of a deal... I'm usually just around with nothing to do. Except for today, really."
"Nonsense!" y/n interjected, practically teleporting from her spot to pop up beside Eishia, the girl letting out a tiny gasp, "Don't sell yourself short, you're incredible! Have some more pride, y'know! Go on, say it— 'I'm Eishia and I'm the best Healer in the world!'"
"I... I dunno..." "Come onn!" "Erm... I-I'm Eishia and..." "And..?" Eishia squeezed her eyes shut, "I'm the best Healer in the— um, world..."
Y/n nodded her approval, "That's a good start."
"Eishia." the girl glanced at Gris nervously as he gave her a reassuring nod, "I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you—you saved my life, so be proud of yourself."
The girl's eyes widened a bit before she immediately looked down nervously. Y/n chuckled a bit at her expression and tensed when the Supporter continued, "Y/n, you too—you did good trying your best to make sure we all got out of there alive, just consider improving that biscuit recipe of yours."
"It's perfectly fine, good medicine isn't always tasty!" y/n complained but the praise had her grinning despite her irritation.
Eishia, on the other hand, gave her a look of horror.
"You... you used the biscuit and didn't heal him?"
"I only gave him half, just to keep his energy up. Don't look at me like that..." Y/n raised her hands in surrender with a nervous smile as the other Healer protested frantically.
Follo was still looking a little down which didn't go unnoticed by the wounded Supporter, "And you, Follo, don't just stand there sulking in the corner," the young man looked up in surprise when his name was spoken, "If you hadn't kept me stable and clear of the fight while y/n was off treating Zanka, I wouldn't have made it home."
"But..." the ebony haired Supporter began.
"You're not a Giver yet, but that's no reason to beat yourself up over this. Just give it time, it'll happen." Gris assured him and Follo began to tear up a bit.
He let out a little sniffle before practically diving forward, crying at Gris's side while the older man patted him on the head. He glanced at Rudo next, "And you were incredible too, Rudo. That Raider was a piece of work—but you and Zanka still managed to give him a beatdown. That was amazing teamwork—and don't worry about the talisman. I'm just glad it was useful to you."
Everyone fell silent as Rudo stared at the floor for a moment, clearly still reeling from everything that had happened. Still, after a few seconds, he nodded.
"Yeah... I understand. I'm glad you're still here, Gris."
"With that said, we should all take note that this may not be the last time we have a run in with Raiders. That means we'll be fighting more than just trashbeasts in the future," Enjin murmured but glanced at Rudo, looking upbeat regardless, "Good news, though—we learned something new."
"One of the Raiders mentioned crossing the border, which means they've been doing research on the Sphere."
Everyone looked over to the man who had just entered the room. Tall and imposing as usual, Arkha—the boss himself stood over by the entrance to the room.
"Hey, Boss," Enjin greeted and Rudo immediately turned to look at the grey eyed man in surprise.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Rudo—I apologize for my absence when you first got to HQ." the man greeted, "My name's Arkha Corvus and I lead the Cleaners. I've been told you wanted to see me?"
Rudo jolted a little, "Oh! Uh, yes I did, sir."
"I wanted to see you, too. I was told you plan on leaving as soon as you get what you want from us. That alone is enough reason to let you go," Huh? Did this kid really have the nerve to just blurt stuff like that?
"However, despite not being here for long, you've had the chance to see what we fight for and the good in these people for yourself. You even risked your life for them. Not to mention, you hold power that could contribute towards our cause. So, I—Arkha Corvus, officially accept you as our newest Cleaner."
'I thought he was gonna get booted. I like this outcome, though.' y/n thought with a pleased smile as Arkha turned away, glancing back at Rudo.
"Come with me to my office, I've got your uniform and some information for you."
Rudo left with the boss, leaving everyone else behind. Only then did Eishia tug on y/n's sleeve to draw her attention, "Um... I noticed some blood on your sleeve earlier. Do you n have any injuries that need healing?"
'Blood on my— aw, damn it,' y/n frowned when she spotted the splotch of crimson on the sleeve of her uniform. She covered it with a hand, giving the younger Healer a grin, "Nah, I'm all good. Thanks, though."
꒰ა ᯽ ໒꒱
"Not there."
"Not there either."
"No."
"Nope."
"Wrong again."
Y/n was sitting cross legged on the floor with a tired look, considering just booting Follo out of the room as he tried and failed to find the right location she'd literally just given to him.
Sure, he wasn't familiar with the points, but she'd already walked him through them several times!
Still, he'd insisted on helping her when she told him she was going to 'test out' her acupuncture. She was sure it wasn't just about him being helpful, as nice as he was.
Nah, perhaps it had something to do with him wanting to be a Giver. Y/n wasn't sure what exactly she could do about making him a Giver, but she wasn't going to inquire. Desperation brings about odd situations.
"Huh? You want to help?"
Y/n finished tying the bandages around her chest, giving Follo a curious look from where he stood near the door of her room.
She gave him an uncertain frown as he nodded, "I noticed you were moving a little slow, so I wanted to help! Just to make sure you didn't hurt yourself."
"That's nice of you, but I've used these needles long enough that I don't make mistakes often—even when I'm a little sleepy."
Follo looked a little disheartened, turning his gaze to the floor instead with a small sigh, "Right, that makes sense..."
The h/c haired Cleaner watched home you a frown before finally heaving a sigh, "Fine, you can help, but let's review the points first."
The ebony haired man's eyes lit up as he nodded eagerly, "Thank you! I'll do my best!"
Usually this wouldn't take more than ten minutes to complete, but it'd been twelve and he'd only managed to place two needles—the three on her chest were ones she'd done herself since Follo's hands wouldn't stop shaking.
'Damn it, this hurts. Can't he hurry up?'
"No."
"Still not it."
"Not there."
"Nuh-uh."
"Um, sorry to ask but could you remind me where it's supposed to go?" Follo asked meekly from where he sat on his knees behind her, needle in hand.
Y/n heaved a sigh, "Find the center of my back and place a finger there," she waited patiently, staring at the door as Follo hesitantly pressed a finger against her. She reached around to nudge his hand on course before continuing, "Now follow that path up between my shoulder blades."
"Right... here?" Follo asked meekly and y/n nodded. "Now take your finger a few centimeters to the right... yes, there. That's the spot."
"Okay, there..." Follo's brows furrowed as he moved aside his finger, forcing his hands to remain steady as he guided the needle to the point, and...
"Wrong again." "Seriously? How?"
Before y/n could tell the man she'd do it herself, the door opened and Riyo strolled on in with Rudo like she owned the place, "This here is y/n's room—she has cool stuff in here, it's where she makes her brick biscuits and all kinds of cool smelling stuff. Sometimes even tea."
"My room isn't a playground so don't go sniffing anything without asking me first," y/n retorted as she lifted a marker, feeling around on her back with the arm that didn't have needles in it and marking down the points for follow while the Supporter peered past her to see Riyo and Rudo, "What are you doing in here anyways, you can't just barge in."
"I was giving Rudo a tour," Riyo explained, "I was going to ask if you'd show Rudo the plants you grow, but it seems like you're busy. Mind if we sit in?"
"At this rate, it'd make more sense for you to finish that tour. This is gonna take longer than usual," y/n replied simply before casting Follo a smile from over her shoulder, "No offense to you, Fol, you're doing great."
"You don't have to lie to me about it..." Follo murmured with a rueful look as he began to carefully place needles in the spots y/n marked down while the healer stayed still.
"What are you doing anyways?" Rudo inquired, "Is there a purpose behind you sticking yourself with needles or is it some strange thing you do for whatever reason?"
"It's acupuncture." "Acu—what now?"
"Acupuncture," y/n repeated, "It's a medical technique where you insert super thin needles into points on the body to stimulate nerves. I'm just doing it to ease my sore muscles—carrying you was a chore."
"Thanks to her vital instrument, y/n can all do all kinds of fun stuff with those needles," Riyo added with a little smirk, "Mind if I tell him?"
"Go ahead, I don't mind." y/n hummed.
"Y/n here is a fully fledged doctor with or without her vital instrument and she won't let anyone forget it—but her vital instrument allows her to do some really cool stuff." Riyo began, pointing to where y/n was sitting, "You see those needles right there? Those, and the rest of the ones in her pack, are all her vital instrument."
Rudo glanced at the thin needles with a look of awe, moving closer to take a look at the pack set beside y/n and Follo. "Really, these tiny things?"
"Every single one," y/n confirmed, "They let me stimulate nerve activity... blood vessels, and even stuff as small as cells. Through doing that, I can force people to heal at an accelerated rate and achieve other fun effects to help with illness and pain."
Rudo frowned at y/n, "So why'd you tell that Raider you weren't a Giver? You had me fooled, too."
"Because I thought he wouldn't attack me if I told him I wasn't. Keep up, dude, I thought I said this already."
"Giver status aside, why didn't you heal Gris if you can heal stuff super fast?"
"Huh, do they not teach you stuff like this up on the Sphere?" y/n wondered aloud, taking note of how Rudo glanced down and internally scolding herself, "Mmrgh... let's put it this way. Follo, could you grab me that notebook?"
"Sure, give me a second." he got back up, careful not to disturb the needles he'd already placed before going to her desk. He searched around for the notebook she'd mentioned, pausing when his hand nudged a flask with some sort of powder in it.
He stared at it curiously before grabbing the notebook, returning to y/n and passing it to her as she carefully flipped it open and began to draw, "So! These..." she scribbled a couple of circles, "Are cells! Little building blocks that make up your entire body."
"Seriously? Like, every single little bit?" Rudo questioned, "That means there'd have to be a bunch of these things, not to mention they'd have to be incredibly tiny for so many to fit in one person!"
"Mhm, there are about 30 to 40 trillion of them."
"Trillion... trill— HUH?!"
"If you divide your body into specific parts—like your skin, muscles and stuff, each of those things has building blocks that specifically work to make those parts," Riyo took a seat to watch as y/n scribbled down an arm, "They usually work slow and at a steady pace, but when you get injured," she slashed a mark across the arm, "They work to repair it. Really, really slow."
Rudo watched intently as the healer continued to draw, only stopping when she paused to give Follo—who had ceased his work—a look, "Oi, you need to put needles on the other side. The points mirror, I need both sides for it to work better." "Oh! Sorry! I'll do that, then, just a second..."
He immediately got back to work, slowly working at placing the needles though he snuck a peek at y/n's paper again as she went back to explaining.
"For a fatal injury, your cells won't be able to repair it nearly fast enough to keep you alive. That's where my vital instrument comes in." y/n continued, "Basically, my needles can be manipulated to precisely send messages to cells to pick up the pace. Like an angry manager telling them to hurry the 🚚 up, work faster and get it all fixed super quick. And the cells listen."
"So, just to understand, if my arm were slashed open and you used one of those needles to send a message to cells in my arm... it'd just heal right back up in an instant?" Rudo questioned with a frown and Riyo nodded.
"Mhm, it's kinda freaky how fast it works. Muscle and flesh knit back together and skin grows to cover it... doesn't even leave a scar when it's done." Riyo added with a little nod, "It's super exhausting, though."
Y/n tapped at the notebook with the crayon, "Yup, which is why I didn't bother with it the other day."
"And... why, specifically?" "It could've killed him."
"Oh, sure, that makes..." Rudo paused, "What?"
"Accelerated healing takes a ton of energy. He was already in a vulnerable state, so if I meddled, his body would've probably eaten itself just to gain enough energy to sustain the process." y/n replied with a little smile, "I mean, I have benevolent biscuits for that exact reason but he wasn't keen on eating it. I figured Eishia could handle it, so I just let it go."
Rudo stopped to imagine this scenario, paling when the image came to mind and he shuddered, "That is pretty scary, to think something meant to help you could just off you like that... but, just a question... what even is a benevolent biscuit?"
"It's exactly what it sounds like. A biscuit that does good things." y/n chirped, "Think of it as a nutrient bomb. Because the cells are working quick, they eat quick, too—so it's important that it's eaten before the procedure begins. The benevolent biscuit packs enough energy to get someone through healing, though they'll be tired by the end regardless, so an extra half or two does the trick."
'She sure seems awfully proud of her work,' Rudo noted with a thoughtful look, watching how the healer practically glowed with delight. He was sure that if he looked hard enough, he'd spot sparkles coming off of her. It was rather short lived, though as y/n suddenly looked all mopey, "I just don't get why people hate it so much..."
Rudo watched her curiously, only glancing at Follo when the young man scooted over to whisper to him, "It's because of how unappealing it looks... not to mention the taste. More times than not she has to force feed it to people, so that's one reason it's not well liked."
"Follo..." the man laughed nervously, raising his hands in surrender when he caught y/n glowering at him, "Not that I don't appreciate it or anything! It's still impressive!"
"I tried my best to make it appetizing, really," the healer mumbled with a pout as she glanced back down at her notebook, "Tried adding honey... but it just hardened and lost all the sweet taste. Tried to make it look like a cookie but people would mistake it for some sort of brick because of the coloring."
"HRGHHHH EAT IT, DAMN IT!"
"HELP!!! SOMEONE HELP, SHE'S TRYING TO BREAK MY JAW!" the man on the operation table shrieked, letting out a frightened gasp as a fist slammed into the table beside his head.
He stared up, wide eyed and in terror as the lights in the room cast a shadow over the doctor's face, the needles she'd stuck in her hair for easy access mimicking horns on the top of her head.
"If you don't wanna die..." "Urk!"
The man's eyes welled up with tears as the biscuit was shoved in his mouth and a hand clasped over to keep him from spitting it out. He let out a soft squeal when y/n leaned in, eyes locked on his.
"Swallow."
'EEEK!!! A DEMON!!!'
"That's how the brick biscuit earned its name." Riyo chirped as y/n let out a miserable sigh, shaking her head.
Brick biscuit... a biscuit to provide energy for speedy healing. It had to have an awful lot of energy to do that if he was going off of what y/n mentioned. If Rudo were to eat something like without being operated on... the boy gasped. His eyes were wide as he envisioned a scene of his body exploding. Poof!
"Yikes..."
"That's only for emergencies so don't fret over it. Just don't lose a limb and you won't have to eat it," the h/c haired healer murmured with a shrug then waved a hand, "Alright, get out, I'm gonna hit the hay. You too, Follo—out, out!"
Riyo gave her a cheery goodbye, Rudo following close behind to leave while Follo hesitated nervously at the door.
"Um, thanks for letting me help out. I'm sorry I slowed you down—you had to spend so much time instructing me and even then I couldn't figure it out..." the Supporter mumbled with a downcast voice.
Y/n raised a brow, "Huh? So? You're learning." he glanced at her in surprise as she let out a sigh, "Whew, you should've seen me when I first started. Whenever I practiced without my old man's instruction, I almost always ended up bleeding!"
She waved her hand again, "So don't worry. Not sure why you're so interested in acupuncture, but I'll continue to give you instruction. Thanks for your help."
Follo's eyes lit up a bit before he nodded eagerly, appearing to feel a lot better, "It's no problem. I'll get out of your hair now, see you!" he left after that, shutting the door behind him.
Y/n listened as his footsteps faded, sitting in silence for a moment before dropping the marker she'd been holding. Her hand trembled freely, the lack of something to grip onto making it difficult to control.
Still, she sat still and counted in silence, waiting for thirty minutes to pass. Maybe an early end to her day would be the best move.
