You glared at the him
'I have no choice...'
Reluctantly, you and the others handed over your tickets. The man nodded and walked away without a clue.
But suddenly, Kyojuro stood up.
"Conductor, get yourself to safety. I'm afraid this is an emergency," he said with a calm, commanding tone. "Please overlook the sword."
That's when the demon revealed itself.
It was massive-twisted, deformed, and snarling with hunger.
"What a giant," Kyojuro muttered, eyes narrowing. "Did you use a Blood Demon Art? It was difficult to detect you."
He drew his blade with precision.
"Know this. If you bare your fangs at the innocent..." His voice dropped an octave. "I will see your bones turned to ash with my bright red flame sword!"
Without hesitation, he launched forward.
"Flame Breathing: First Form-Unknowing Fire!"
The demon didn't even get to blink.
Kyojuro sliced through it with a searing arc of flame. The thing wailed once before crumbling into ash.
You blinked in disbelief.
'Ew. That thing was even uglier in real life-'
"YOU'RE SO COOL!" Tanjiro shouted, practically sparkling. "That was incredible swordplay! Please make me your apprentice!"
"Very well," Kyojuro beamed. "I'll make you a fine swordsman."
"He's already fine to me," you mumbled under your breath.
"ME TOO, ME TOO!" Inosuke and Zenitsu shouted in unison, practically bouncing.
"I'll take you all in!" Kyojuro declared, hands confidently on his hips.
"You're awesome, big bro!!" the three boys cheered together.
Then all eyes turned to you.
"What about you, Y/N?" Tanjiro asked, smiling.
You shrugged with a small smirk. "Uhh... yes, me too."
"BIG BROOOO!!!" the boys shouted again like a cult meeting their flame god.
You sighed as they kept fawning over him.
'I hope my plan works... Kyojuro...'
As you rested your head back, the rocking of the train starting to lull you into sleep, you heard Tanjiro's voice beside you.
"Y/N... are you nervous too?"
You turned to face him, eyes half-lidded with exhaustion. "A little. I mean... we're literally sleeping on a demon-infested train. Who wouldn't be?"
He smiled softly. "You're strong. You've helped us this far already. Just... stay close, okay?"
You blinked, surprised. "...Are you worried about me, Kamado?"
He turned pink. "W-Well yeah! You're part of us now. You're important."
You gave him a teasing smirk. "Aww, how sweet. Didn't know the famous Tanjiro Kamado could be this soft."
He pouted a little. "I'm serious. Just promise me you'll be careful."
You nodded, this time softer. "I will. You too, Tanjiro."
Meanwhile, in the shadows of the train...
A voice murmured with glee, gentle like silk but laced with malice.
"To die while in the rapture of a dream... a blessing, indeed."
Enmu stood atop the roof of the train, eyes shining with sick excitement.
"It doesn't matter how powerful a Demon Slayer is," he whispered. "The spark that drives them-comes from the heart. The human spirit."
He leaned down to peer through the windows, grinning wider.
"All you have to do is stamp out their spiritual core. And they die... just like that."
He let out a soft giggle. No-more like a cackle. His fingers twitched as he watched you and the others drift into slumber.
"Like delicate glasswork," he whispered. "So pitifully fragile and weak..."
He extended his hand toward the hidden sleeper agents onboard-four passengers already under his control.
"The time has come, my little helpers... go."
His voice turned into a sing-song whisper.
"Shatter the Demon Slayers' hearts for me."
His minions (why is the word kinda funny bruh 🙏😭)nodded, silent and entranced, slipping into each train car like shadows.
And just like that, the nightmare began.
