Author note :I forgot most things about this story that's why it takes time for me to re read and remember what I was gonna add 😭🙏

Everything hurt. Your body was numb. The threads had cut deep, leaving streaks of blood across your arms. You were dizzy, weak, and barely able to stand. While Tanjiro shouted and Rui monologued like every anime villain ever, you found yourself zoning out. Your head tilted back, and your body went limp as exhaustion and pain threatened to overtake you. Your eyes rolled upward, almost on their own, and then BOOM, flames exploded behind you. Nezuko had unleashed her Blood Demon Art, and the threads that bound you snapped instantly.

You fell to the ground with a loud thud, the impact jarring every aching muscle in your body. No one caught you. Not even Tanjiro, who was standing right there. You groaned, irritated at his lack of attentiveness, and slowly turned your head. That was when you saw him. Yoriichi. The man with the red sun mark across his forehead, long dark hair flowing, and eyes so gentle and haunting it felt like he could see through your very soul.

"Wait. WHAT?" you gasped, still trembling and bleeding.

He waved softly. "Hello."

Blinking, still confused, you struggled to process it. "So you were the voice in my head?"

"Yes indeed, dear," he replied, his calm tone only making the surreal moment feel even stranger.

"Hold on, aren't you, like, dead?"

"...I am," he said simply.

"Bro. You gotta explain everything right now," you demanded, still wincing as your body tried to recover.

"I will. But first, you have to save your friends," he said with a faint smile.

"Oh, right. Forgot about them," you muttered, shaking off some of the pain in your limbs. Yoriichi chuckled softly, the sound strangely comforting. "Since you have been remembering some of the Sun Breathing forms, you can use them now, dear."

You smirked faintly, the familiar thrill of power coursing through your body despite the blood and sweat. Slowly, you stood up, wobbling slightly, and gripped the katana you had picked up earlier. Tanjiro was just about to perform the Hinokami Kagura, looking exhausted and on the verge of collapse. But before he could move, you stepped forward.

Your eyes glowed with a strange intensity. Instinct took over as you whispered, "Sun Breathing: First Form. Dance." Your blade moved fluidly, slicing clean through Rui before anyone could even blink. One precise strike, and Lower Moon Five disintegrated into ashes, leaving only a wisp of smoke in the air. Yoriichi smiled softly beside you. "Good job, dear," he said, calm and approving.

Panting, sweating, and still bleeding, you stood tall, adrenaline coursing through your veins. Tanjiro turned toward you, eyes wide with confusion and awe. He could not comprehend what he was seeing. Who was this girl? How did she know a breathing style?

You glanced at Yoriichi. "So no one else can see you? Only me?"

He nodded. "Correct."

"Cool. Anyway, YOU OWE ME AN EXPLANATION," you demanded, ignoring the pounding in your head and the burn in your arms.

Yoriichi glanced away as if dodging responsibility, a small, almost comedic anime gesture. "Oh my. Look at the time. Gotta go. Bye, dear."

"YOU LITTLE," you started, nearly collapsing from exhaustion. Your body felt like it was going to give out entirely, but you forced yourself upright. You could not die now. Not when you had friends depending on you.

Tanjiro ran toward you, panic written across his face. "Y/N?! Are you okay?! What happened?! Why are you even here?!"

"Tanjiro! Calm down," you said, though your voice cracked under the strain. Before you could say more, he hugged you tightly. "Thank you for saving us. Thank you for saving Nezuko."

Blinking, you slowly hugged him back. "You're welcome," you said, your words muffled against his chest.

Tanjiro looked at you, eyes soft, and his cheeks turned pink. "You're... really beautiful," he murmured.

"Huh? Oh, thank you," you stammered, caught completely off guard.

"I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that," he started.

"No, no. It's okay. It's... aight," you reassured him, giving him a small, encouraging smile.

Just when the moment seemed sweet, Giyuu appeared, landing silently in front of Rui's ashes, scanning the area for damage. "What... happened here?" he asked quietly, eyes sharp as he assessed the scene.

Then he turned to see you and Tanjiro. "Isn't that the boy? Wait, where's his sister?"

"Tomioka-san?" Tanjiro asked nervously. "Where's your sister?"

You stepped forward. "She's here. Calm down. She's in the box. Chill, buddy."

Giyuu squinted at you. "...Who are you? And who killed Lower Moon Five?"

Raising your hand like a student in class, you said plainly, "Me."

He blinked slowly. "...Okay."

Then, in the blink of an eye, Shinobu appeared, her presence marked by sparkles and a faint waft of poison. "Well well, Tomioka-san. What are you doing? That’s a demon, you know," she said, pointing toward Nezuko’s box.

"And you, boy, step away from her," she added, her voice light but commanding.

Tanjiro flinched.

"You two," Giyuu said firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument, "Run. Now."

You, Tanjiro, and Nezuko didn’t hesitate. You ran as though your lives depended on it, because they did. Your heart pounded in your chest, legs burning, lungs on fire.

"Tanjiro, give me Nezuko!" you shouted, grabbing the box and keeping a firm grip on it as you ran.

"Are you sure?" Tanjiro asked, panic in his voice.

"Yeah, I got her!" you said firmly, determination pushing you forward.

You knew exactly what was coming next. Sure enough, Kanao appeared out of nowhere, kicking Tanjiro in the head like a ninja. "Tanjiro!"

You kept running, Nezuko safely in your arms, heart hammering as Kanao chased silently behind you. She was not attacking, just keeping pace like a shadow. Then, suddenly, you tripped.

"F-!!"

You hit the ground hard, scraping your knees and elbows. "Nezuko! Keep running, okay?!"

She looked back, conflicted, before running forward. Kanao stopped over you, silent, not attacking. You blinked once, then blacked out, the last thing you felt being strong hands lifting you into the arms of Kakushi in black uniforms.
