For a couple of weeks after the trip, The school decided to take 3rd to 6th graders to a camping site near their school.
"Naobito-san." Sliding the door open, Y/n found Naobito with a new woman sitting beside him inappropriately touching him while he drinks his sake.
"Hm?" Naobito raised a brow as he glanced at Y/n, Since It was a 'now' normal situations, Y/n proceeded walking inside the room.
"I just wanted to get your permission, If I could go to a 7 days camp, It's at Mizunomoro park campsite." Y/n kept the paper behind her as she stands there awkwardly because the woman kept glaring her.
"Seven days?"
"Yeah, After the camping, Our teacher said it was our last activity and our last day, The whole graders 𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚕𝚢." Y/n responded, Naobito hums as he noticed a paper behind her shown.
"Is that so, Do I have to sign onto something?" Naobito asks as he puts the bottle of sake down.
"Ah, Yes, This was a parent consent" Y/n sweat drop she then approached him handing out the paper and pen, Soon as he signed it, Y/n bowed her head "Thank you"
She was about to walk out but then, Naobito speaks.
"By the way"
"Huh?" Y/n turns, He got to his feet then went to a nightstand, Opening it.
"I forgot to tell you, This" He showed a black card and a envelope his hand, Walking towards her, He handed it to her.
"What's that for?" Y/n jerks her brows.
"It's your credit card, Remember when I told you, Toma gave a half of his fortune?" Naobito questioned.
"Uhm, Yes?" Y/n tilted her head.
"Well, Here" Naobito got his hand closer for her up take it, "It's almost a half of an million dollars, It can buy you anything, But use it wisely, I'm still going to pay your school bills until Middle school, The envelope gathers the information you need on using and having it."
"Uh, Okay─Thank you, Naobito-san" Y/n politely takes it with both of her hands as she bowed her head again.
"Mm" Naobito nod his head and got back to his seat, Leaving the room, Y/n is somehow curious why Toma gave his a half of his wealth to her, After all, She was a experiment, What makes him gave up a big amount of money to her?
“He sees his daughter in you”
After playing with Naoya, They had dinner then took a bath, And so on, Before sleeping─Y/n was preparing for the camp, Since the girls will be out of the corridors because they were too many, They had to bring a tent.
The next day, Y/n was drove to the Mizunomoro campsite, Waiting for Satoru at the gate after she and his driver puts her luggages at where everyone placed theirs.
A few minutes later, A car pulled up.
"Y/n!" As the door opened, A dazzling smile with a matching blue eyes, Met her.
"Satoru"
"Hehe! I'm glad your guardian accepted, I thought I was gonna be lonely." Taking his suit case out, A voice inside the car spoke, Y/n couldn't hear anything but a woman's hand appeared and gave Satoru something?
When they got to where the people were.
"Everyone, Please gather." The guide claps his hands taking everyone's attention.
The morning after, The girls of 4th graders were to help the 5th graders to clean up the kitchen and help 6th graders at cooking outside.
So on and On, They first planned the activities for the whole week, The presidents of every graders were the ones who came up with the activities not the teachers, Meaning the teachers were only to be their guardians and judges for various of competitions and games.
For the first day, They decided a fishing competition, The activity took the whole afternoon, It was girls versus the boys, 3rd and 6th graders participated, After that, The boys won, There weren't really some prizes or anything, It was just a game they wanted to play.
After the victory everyone jumped to the lake they fished in, And then washed theirselves in the restroom, When they got outside──The teachers were the ones who cooked the dinner for everyone.
When the night came in, The girls prepared their tents, Having a few hours to spend, Y/n talked with Satoru Until it was time.
At their first night, Y/n didn't sleep, She didn't tell anyone, Nobody knew she pulled a staring competition with the ceiling while the candles were flickering from the pressure that the winds sent in.
As she experienced her first day, The wind was loudly whistling, And presence she couldn't describe what or who it was from the forest, Not wanting to be in the tent anymore, Y/n got up from her tent and went to the kitchen where she met some of the students and teachers were already having a cup of tea, coffee, milk, Etc.
When the sun arose, Y/n met Satoru by the balcony of their corridors, Since it was still early, Satoru told Y/n to go with him at her tent, Y/n didn't really minded and let him cuddle with her for a few minutes, Y/n wasn't weirded by it, Afterall, Naoya would sometimes go to her room to snuggle with her or sleep with her the whole night.
The activity for the whole day was to go through a mud and things such as like militaries should do, But not that hard or dangerous, It was a mud play, Climbing onto a climb wall, A zipline and other things, Y/n was drained because she couldn't sleep last night, But she didn't refused to the activities they suggested, Which sucked her energy completely.
When it was finally dinner, Satoru couldn't stop but keep asking her for his worries, Y/n didn't said anything worse to worry him more, Afterall it was just a all-nighter.
When it was finally time to rest, Y/n yet again felt the urge to not sleep and pull up an all-nighter, Not wanting to destroy her eyes and just lay down like a wide awake corpse──She got up and checked the time, It was midnight. She couldn't believe how fast time was, She knew she just talked with Satoru and just laying down the futon for like a couple of minutes, But then it was five hours ago?
Y/n sighed as she unzipped her tent, Looking around, She found everyone already asleep, At this kind of time, The teachers should be also sleeping, Right?; She hopes so.
Grabbing a jacket to have a short walk, A few minutes later she wasn't even that far from the campsite, Y/n was already shivering from the coldness, Autumn was yet again really windy.
Going further not even knowing where to go, But only keeping a straight direction, Y/n was already feeling tired, When she was about to leave the area.
A sudden presence was felt soon as she turned around, Y/n sweat drop as chills went through her spine, Looking back behind her.
"... It's dangerous to walk at night, Young lady" A very tall and lean man appeared, His eyes were much likely similar to Naoya, Still, How did that man even popped right there with those chopped up monsters in his hand?
His face was covered with purple blood, His blood was mixing with it.
Her heart was beating like a horse galloping so fast it's heart was keeping its rhythm by it's gallops, She knows him, Someone mentioned him, Someone showed him from a picture.
"Are... Aren't you Toji?" Her eyes widen, She was sure, The scar in his lips, The hair, The expression, Naoya always mentions every detail of him whenever she visits him at the dojo.
"Kind of rude to call a person who's older than you without manners." He huffs with a grin, He then dropped the curse's head to the ground, Slowly turning into ashes──Confirming it was him, Y/n was surprised to finally the idol of her dear best friend.
"Why... Why did you leave the Zeni'n household?" She asked just to receive not a single word, "Naoya really looked up at you... "
"Wouldn't talk about someone's past so casually." He leaned down to take the core the curse left after it became dusts.
"Thank you," Y/n bows her head with her hand in her chest, "Thank you for clearing the forest."
"You knew about it?" She nod in response, She knew about it since she walked to the park, Even though she knows there was dangerous curses around the forest; It's still wasn't the reason she couldn't sleep, And she just wished she wasn't gonna die in the park with everyone else.
"Can you lean down?" Y/n mutters softly.
"Ha?" Toji raised a brow as he looked at the kid.
"I can heal your wound"
"Pft, You have a cursed energy?" His grin widen, Giving her more a psychotic vibes coming from him.
"Uhm, Yes?" Y/n furrowed her eyebrows.
"Hm... So that's why that old man adopted you" Toji laughs, Taking it as an advantage, He leaned to the girl as she raised both of her hands to his head, She healed his whole body, "Oh, I feel a lot better, You're that useful afterall."
"Can you─" At a blink of an eye, "He left."
Y/n was about to walk away and go back to the site.
"Y/n!" Satoru's voice called out for her, Turning around, Y/n saw him running towards her.
"Satoru, What are you doing here?" Y/n sweat drop, Her anxious face tells it all of her worries for him──It's good that the curse and Toji vanished, Still, Satoru could have been killed in this forest if Toji hadn't come eliminating every single of curse.
"I was taking a walk then I suddenly got lost!" Satoru responded, Such a typical answer coming from him.
"Why would you even go outside?, You fully know that you don't have sense of direction." Y/n grabs his hand to hold him, By the touch in his hand, Y/n could tell how long he's been here, His hand was incredibly cold.
"I know that, But I couldn't sleep." He got closer to Y/n, As they were walking back to the campsite, The wind was getting harder.
"You have trouble sleeping?"
"Yeah, I haven't slept since yesterday." Satoru nod his head.
"That's bad, Is the sleeping corridors that worse?"
"No... I just really have trouble sleeping, Even at home, I sometimes don't sleep." He squeezes her hand.
"Why?, Do you have like sone kind of condition?" Y/n questioned.
"I don't know, I've told it to my parents, But they only gave me Doxepin, It still didn't work──" Hearing the word Doxepin, Y/n widen her eyes and interrupted him.
"They gave you sleeping pills?, That wouldn't really work on you, Because you're still a child, Sleeping pills don't work on children." Y/n stopped walking her expression telling how confused and dumbfounded she was, But then Satoru kept his reaction normal.
"Eh, Is that so" He hums.
"How long have you been taking doxepin?" She looked at him.
"Since... like Last month"
"Last month?" Satoru nod his head as the both of them looked at each other, "Don't eat those pills again, It can affect your well being, Try tiring yourself or like drink some warm milk or chocolate, Try asking for help."
"I did everything you said, I was already checked up just last week but the doctor said, Nothing's really happening─He said I'm good, And said maybe it was my fault for trying to be awake all night." Satoru rolls his eyes, He's obviously annoyed.
"But, Do you still sleep?" Y/n asked with a worried tone, It's good that he's being honest and open he was with her.
"Sometimes, Probably four or three times a week"
"That's real real bad, Don't you feel something off at your body or mind?" Satoru shook his head.
"None, But I'm fine during the daylight, So I'm doing fine" He chuckles──Right, He's full of energy even at day, while when Y/n stays up all night, It feels like her whole body going numb.
"No, That is not fine, Not sleeping at night is──" Before she could finish her sentence, Satoru cuts her off.
"Then let me sleep at your tent!" He grinned playfully.
"The teacher separated us for our gender and quantity." Y/n responded.
"The teacher won't know about it anyway." He whispered.
"That still would get us in trouble." Y/n Shooks her head, Suddenly──Satoru held her hand with both of his hand.
"Please?" He said with a gentle tone, Thinking about it──Y/n may could also help him to sleep, But if it didn't, She just hopes no one would see them, And still could find away to help his sleeping issues.
"Fine"
As they got to the campsite, Satoru first went to get his pillows and blanket, They were lucky enough for everyone to be in a deep sleep.
Laying down the futon.
"Just yesterday also... " Y/n mutters as she turned her head to Satoru.
"Hm?"
"I couldn't sleep." Y/n finally speaks the truth.
"You could have told me sooner, I'm not gonna worsen my worry over you and annoy you, I'm glad you told me, Though." He smiles, How pretty could he be, Was the sentence that always pops in her mind whenever she sees him smile.
"Sorry for that." Y/n mumbles.
"Mm"
"Promise me you'd Sleep" Y/n holds his hand, Warming his palm, As their eyes shuts.
When the morning came, Y/n was the first to wake up, Seeing Satoru sound asleep, It gave her a warm feeling, And Just like that, Satoru began to sleep with her every night until The last day.
