Reason #1: She's an idiot
"Hey, what's that? Can I drink it?"
Cyno had taken a trip to Mondstadt to visit y/n after the girl had sent him over five hundred letters, each of them asking for him to come and visit.
He gave the girl a glare, remaining quiet and she blinked once.
"Well? Are you gonna answer."
"No. Don't drink it."
"Oh, okay."
Reason #2: She's often mistaken for a child
"Hey kiddo! Want some candy?" a strange man asked y/n as she was passing by an alleyway with some books.
"Candy?" she echoed, "What's candy?"
The man deadpanned, "You... you don't know what candy is? Seriously?"
Y/n shook her head, "...Nye."
"Come here and I'll give you some!" the strange man said with a believable smile.
Y/n shrugged and turned to walk to the alleyway only for someone to grab her by the shoulder and pull her close to her chest.
She titled her head up to look at them curiously then beamed, "Oh! Hi Cyno!"
"Hello, Y/n." Cyno greeted with a warm smile then looked at the strange man with a threatening expression, "Y/n, you head on back to the library. I'll be there in a few minutes."
"Huh? Okay." y/n replied the skipped away, not once questioning her friend's odd behavior.
Reason #3: Precious
"Rhino!"
"..."
"Sauna!"
"..."
"Sony!"
"..."
"Cyyyyy!"
"What?" Cyno demanded, looking up from what he had been doing to glare at y/n.
"Look!" y/n threw on a large cape with a hood that had poorly drawn and cut out ears of a fox on it, "Haha! I look like you!"
Cyno stared for moment in silence before covering his mouth and turning away.
"Huh? Are you okay! Look at me, dammit!"
'This idiot is too cute for her own good...'
Reason #4: She gets lonely easily
Y/n sat on one end of the bridge outside Mondstadt, looking sad as she waited.
After hearing news of Cyno coming to Mondstadt for a visit, she'd rushed to the city and plopped down in front of the bridge.
She'd waited all day and it was growing dark out. The darker it got, the sadder she looked.
Y/n heaved a sigh, preparing to get up.
"What're you doing out here? You're going to catch a cold or something."
Y/n looked up, eyes brightening when her eyes met Cyno's, "Ah@! Rhino! You're here!"
"That's not my name!"
Cyno pouted but allowed y/n to give him a warm hug, "I missed you, Cyno!"
Cyno huffed, "I missed you too, n/n."
Reason #5: She gets hurt easily
For someone who had spent every single day of her life fighting or running from something, y/n was fragile.
Incredibly fragile.
Y/n sniffled, rubbing her eyes as she tried to hold back any more tears, "Ah... uhm... I will miss you. Please visit soon."
Cyno observed his friend who was trying to act like she wasn't upset then sighed.
Y/n let out a squeak but relaxed when Cyno gave her a hug, patting her head.
"I'll miss you to and yes, I'll send letters until I return." Cyno sighed, "As long as you don't get into any trouble, okay?"
"But I-"
Y/n silenced herself when Cyno gave her a warning look, "Okay?"
"Okay!" y/n exclaimed then beamed, "I will be a very very good girl!"
Cyno deadpanned, "Never say that again."
"That I'll be good."
"No, that you're a-" Cyno sighed heavily, "You know what, nevermind. Stay out of trouble."
