One
I was walking on the same path Isabella and I walked on years ago. It didn't change that much. I walked towards the cherry blossom tree where we carved our names on.
For some reason I wanted to know if our names were still visible. I stood in front of it staring at our names that were starting to fade because it wasn't carved so deep.
Flashbacks started to appear in my head. It was like a movie playing inside of my head. I remembered almost every scene of it.
"Jaebum! Come here!" Isabella ran towards the cherry blossom tree while looking back at me and yelling at me to hurry up.
I ran towards her and stood beside her looking at the cherry blossoms falling. "I want to write our names here." She said smiling while pointing at the tree trunk. I just laughed.
"I know it sounds cliché but I don't want to forget today. So every time I walk here I'll remember this day and you." She explained. "Okay then." I said smiling at her.
I looked around for something sharp to give her so she'll be able to carve our names on the tree. She put her hands in her pocket and pulled out a key and said "this will do." Then started carving on the tree with the end of the key.
"I'm done." She said smiling proudly looking at what she just did like a kid. I smiled and said sarcastically "wow this is the prettiest art I've ever seen." She slapped my arm playfully and said "it's not like you can draw or write any better."
I rubbed my arm on the same spot she slapped me and said "well that's true." She was still smiling so beautifully. I vividly remember thinking at that moment she's so beautiful.
She linked her arm with mine and said "now let's go!" while dragging me out of the park. I looked at her and told myself "I'm never leaving you."
