𝗜 𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗔 𝗚𝗢 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘 ✦ 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 [OLD]
𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗠
(Warning: Ayumu being a 📯🦵 lil 💩)
"Thanks for the help." y/n said with an apologetic smile as she stood at the Grand Narukami Shrine with Yae, "I don't know what would've happened if you hadn't arrived in time."
Yae smiled then gave the unconscious Ayumu and Aether a wary look, "In all honesty, I'm also glad I got there in time. Those two sure took a beat down. Let me guess... Ayumu?"
"Yep, he called the dude a fifth grader."
"Mmm... can't blame him for that one."
The events which had played out during their time in the Delusion Factory were... interesting.
To put it simply, Aether and Ayumu got thrashed.
Yae arrived just in time to offer a lil something called a Gnosis in exchange for their safety which Scaramouche reluctantly agreed to.
Yae and y/n were left to drag the duo to the Narukami Shrine and now they were waiting for them to awaken.
One problem, the shrine was a lil crowded...
Since literally everyone on Narukami Island was taking shelter there, unable to stay in the city due to the two dueling Gods throwing hands there.
From the shrine, y/n could see just how much of a wreck her home was. The sky was dark with clouds as white hot lightning rained down on the city and raging vortexes tore up house while throwing debris.
"Look at this place..." y/n murmured, "It's a wreck! They're seriously still going at it? After all this time?"
"It would seem so." Yae sighed.
The h/c haired simp stared at the mess which was Narukami Island, fingernails digging into her palms and drawing blood as she tried to think of a solution.
"That Osial dude knows y/n." Ayumu suddenly spoke up, sitting up abruptly and scaring the living 💩 out of y/n, "What if we get her close enough to talk to him?"
"Ayumu?!" y/n shrieked.
"Good idea." Aether also agreed, sitting up, "But what about the Raiden Shogun? Wouldn't she still be trying to fight?"
"Aether?!" y/n shouted, "You're both awake?""
Just like that??? Tf???
The duo pondered in silence.
"I've got an idea!" Ayumu exclaimed then grinned at Aether, "Say, Blondilocks, how would you feel about fighting our good ol' Shogun alongside me?"
Both y/n and Aether looked mortified, "...what?"
"Hey y/n! Paimon's back!!" Paimon exclaimed, floating on over with a plate of onigiri, "Oh! Aether and Ayumu are awake! Uh... why do Aether and y/n looks so terrified?"
Ayumu gave the pixie a smile, "Hehe, I've got an idea as to how we can get those gods to stop fighting!"
"An idea?" Paimon echoed, "Alright, let's hear it!"
By the time Ayumu finished explaining, Yae was chuckling while y/n, Aether and Paimon gave the pink haired young man looks of disbelief.
"You want us..." Aether began, gesturing to himself then Ayumu, "To fight the Raiden Shogun. A whole God."
Ayumu nodded, "Yep~! While y/n calms Osial down by, I dunno, promising the good suck or something. You know what I mean?"
"WHAT?!" y/n demanded, face heating up.
Ayumu tilted his head at his friend, "Hm? That'd be normal, right? From the way he looks at you, I assumed that the two of you have done it tons of times."
"AYUMU, WE'VE NEVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THAT!!!" y/n cried, waving her arms wildly, "WE'RE JUST FRIENDS! NOTHING MORE!!!"
"Uh-huh. Sure." Ayumu didn't look convinced at all, "Anyways, what say you, Aether?"
The blond was conflicted, Ayumu giving him a smile that promised consequences if he declined while y/n was frantically gesturing for him not to do it.
"There must be some other way!" y/n sputtered.
"What? We walk up to them and politely ask the two to stop fighting?" Paimon questioned, crossing her arms.
"We could offer Ayumu as a sacrifice." Aether suggested and the young man gave him a look of surprise.
"Sacrifice?" Ayumu murmured then smirked, "Whether or not I agree depends entirely on just what type of sacrifice I'm going to be."
Aether and Paimon looked confused.
"No, Ayumu, you're not getting railed." y/n said sharply, earning a dramatic sigh from her friend, "Let's... just go with the original idea, okay?"
"What? Did you wanna be the sacrifice?" Ayumu inquired and y/n shook her head rapidly.
"S-Shut up already!!!"

'I can't believe I'm doing this...!' y/n screamed internally as her, Ayumu and Aether ran towards the spot where Yae had told them they'd find the two childish Gods.
In between being pelted by rain and trying to navigate through the storm, y/n was struggling a little bit.
Paimon had already been almost snatched by a vortex twice and Aether had almost been struck by lightning.
It seemed as though the closer they got to Tenshukaku, the spot where Haiyang and Baal were battling it out, the more dangerous things became.
"Maybe we should turn back!" Paimon suggested shakily while clinging to Aether's braid so she wouldn't go flying away again, "Paimon doesn't like this idea anymore!"
"Nope, we're already here!" Ayumu chimed though his usual enthusiasm was no longer there, "Prepare yourselves."
As the group of four rushed up the stairs to Tenshukaku, y/n suddenly slowed to a halt.
"Huh? Y/n?" Aether asked, "You okay?"
Ayumu glanced at his friend and found that she was trembling a bit, fear in her e/c eyes.
"I... I don't wanna go in." she whispered, "I can't. We should just turn back and wait for it all to end..."
What was this about? She was so confident earlier...
Ayumu glanced at their surroundings and it dawned on him, "Ah... this is about Kazuha's friend, right?"
Y/n grimaced then nodded slowly, "Yeah... I'm afraid that the same thing may happen to you guys. I don't want you to get hurt, I couldn't live with the guilt if I screwed up and you guys were-!"
She wasn't going to finished that sentence.
She was scared to even voice her worries.
Ayumu sighed, "Y/n..."
The simp looked up in alarm when she heard Ayumu's footsteps continuing towards the doors of Tenshukaku, the young man whistling to himself.
"Oh? What's this?" he questioned, looking surprised, "My feet are moving on their own. Suddenly I'm walking right into a situation that may likely end my life."
"This dude is insane..." Paimon stated.
"Ayu!" y/n protested.
"I'm going to go on in without any hesitation." Ayumu declared as he opened up one of the doors a bit.
He wore a warm smile, "Y/n. I know you're capable of doing the same. But sometimes, you need someone to take the first step for you."
This goddamn-
"Toodles~!" Ayumu chirped before darting into the building, "Today's the day I get pounded, 🚚 yeah!!!"
"AYUMU, DON'T GO RUNNING IN LIKE THAT!!!" y/n cried, running in after him.
"Hey! Wait!" Aether shouted, following quickly while Paimon clung to his braid and screamed.
Interesting way to charge head first into danger but I'm liking the energy anyways.
(I wrote this like a year ago and I'm wondering what type of 🐂💩 I was on when I wrote it. I'm not gonna change it but... I'm still confused)
