It was somewhat nice to be back in Inazuma for the first time in a year and several months.

But having to stay within the walls of Gramps's home was borderline torture.

Y/n wasn't allowed to leave since a lot of folks would recognize her. While she didn't have an issue with leaving her Vision behind, people would still recognize her and Gramps would likely get in trouble.

To be honest, she was one minor inconvenience away from breaking down.

Y/n couldn't go for very long without some form of work before she entered this weird state of feeling just... empty.

Itto tried visiting really often in hopes of cheering her up and it worked for a little while.

But eventually, y/n found an immediate solution to each problem he caused and was back to walking up the hill of boredom.

She was honestly itching just to go out and do something. Like maybe go grocery shopping or help out at the Teahouse...

Heck, even just take a walk.

Y/n needed to be somewhere outside that wasn't her garden.

Her boredom outweighed her fear of capture which resulted in this...

"Hm? Y/n?"

Itto was frowning up at y/n as she was climbing over the wall which blocked the garden from, well, everything outside of the retired soldier's property.

Y/n stared down at him with a blank expression, "..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Oh, look!" y/n chirped, pointing to the left.

"What? :o"

Itto turned to look, only to find nothing there. By the time he looked back at the wall, y/n was already gone.

...

Well.

That's not good.

On the other hand... y/n was amazed.

She'd forgotten just how beautiful Inazuma was.

"Oh..." y/n's eyes widened as she just took a moment to observe her surroundings.

Ah, yes. That constant feeling of homesickness that used to linger in the depths of her soul began to finally melt away.

She really had missed home, despite being terrified of the thought of going back.

As Y/n wandered the streets of her homeland, wide eyed as she admired her surroundings, she eventually found herself standing before the Statue of the Omnipresent God.

Much like usual, ever since Visions were embedded into the statue, y/n heard whispers.

Countless whispers. And amongst those whispers, an odd sound of distant thunder.

Without her even noticing, a scowl found its way onto y/n's face.

She loved Inazuma.

The archon though? Mm... not so much.

"Huh? Is that who I think it is?"

Y/n tensed and whirled around in alarm, letting out a tiny squeak when she saw that it was a couple of Doushin looking at her in surprise.

She knew these two.

If she had to count the amount of time these two 💩stains harassed Kaori and Ayumu, she'd be counting for at least a week.

And don't even get me started on the 💩 they used to do to y/n.

They threw her down the well over in Konda Village.

Put spiders in her hair.

Crept up on her in the middle of the night with masks and scared her.

It was like their only source of amusement was tormenting her.

"Ah... oh no-" y/n whispered.

"Hey! Wait!" one shouted when she darted away like a frightened rabbit.

"After her!" the other ordered and y/n almost choked, realizing just how close he was.

She didn't want to think about what wold happen of they caught her yet at the same time, her brain couldn't help but torment her with the horrible possibilities.

Would they turn her in?

Torture her?

She had heard the sounds of a prisoner being tortured when she passed the police station earlier-

No worries, she'd be okay!

Y/n was good at running away from people.

'WAIT, I'M OUT OF PRACTICE!!!' y/n thought with dread after running to a dead end.

"Hah, see you're still as speedy as ever!" one of the Doushin exclaimed as they blocked her one and only exit.

Y/n looked back at the two men in alarm, tears gathering in her eyes as she pointed at them, "STAY BACK YOU SICK CREEPS!!! IF YOU TOUCH ME, I'LL...!"

"You'll what? Scream and cry until your throat goes hoarse?" one of the two men challenged before both began to howl with laughter.

Like hyenas...

"How about this? You do exactly as we say and you won't get hurt!" one of the Doushin chimed with a menacing grin, "After all, you're way too weak to defend yourself! That pink haired psycho isn't here to defend you and that old man is practically on his deathbed~!"

The h/c haired woman stopped trembling, her fearful whimpers stopping completely.

"Don't talk about them like that..."

The two Doushin paused before one sneered, "Hm? What was that?"

Y/n looked like she was about to piss herself but there was a frown on her face, "Don't talk about Gramps and Ayumu like that. Don't even joke about such a thing."

There was silence.

Just silence.

Y/n tensed up again when the two jerks began laughing at her.

That was never a good sign.

'Yep, gotta go.' y/n thought, ducking past them and preparing to run off.

For a moment, both feet were off the ground as she was grabbed by the back of her clothes and practically thrown against the wall, pain causing her to momentarily black out.

Ouch ouch ouch, damn it, ouch-

Through her internal screeching, she heard something along the lines of, "Looks like you've gotten cocky during your time away." and a "How about a little lesson?"

That 💩 was never a good sign.

Y/n had been in situations like this plenty of times before when she was little.

Then, it was just easier to take the beatdown and get away with her life than to try running and risk being killed in some deserted place where her body wouldn't be found for months.

But things were different now.

Yes, very different.

Y/n was against hurting others most of the time but in moments like these.

'🚚 it, I'm fighting back.'

~~~ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ•°*
"Ohhhhhhh no, what have I done-"
I think she might've killed them.
Y/n stared down at the two Doushin were she'd tucked them nice and safe into the corner of an alleyway after delivering several electro charged punches to their guts.
Yeah... maybe she should leave...
The h/c haired woman did exactly that, sprinting out of the alleyway.
Out of the city, into Chinju Forest, out of the forest...
She eventually just stopped to catch her breath, "I WANNA GO HOME, DAMN IT, THIS IS TOO MUCH!!!"
"I SHOULD'VE JUST STAYED HOME AND TENDED TO MY GARDEN AND-"
"Y/n?"
"GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! DON'T HURT ME!!!" y/n screeched, dropping into a fetal position on the grassy earth.
Thoma, who had been heading back to the Kamisato Estate, certainly hadn't expected to find y/n.
She was supposed to be in Liyue.
...
She was supposed to be in Liyue.
"Y/n!" Thoma exclaimed, running towards the terrified woman who had only just recognized his voice.
She sat up in alarm, looking towards Thoma with a, "Holy 💩, Thoma!"
As Thoma was running towards y/n, he hecking tripped and crashed into her.
Y/n let out a terrified shriek as the two of them tumbled down the hill together but was very much aware of how Thoma was sure to prevent her head from hitting anything that may give her a concussion.
They finally rolled to a stop, y/n recovering from the dizziness and realizing she was alive.
Y/n sat up with bright eyes, hands planted on Thoma's chest, "Ah! We're alive—OH!"
Y/n was dragged back down into a much needed hug from a very happy Thoma.
"Y/n, you're back!" he exclaimed as he hugged the confuzzled y/n.
"Thoma..." y/n murmured before hugging her friend back, beginning to cry, "WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH, THOMA, I MISSED YOU SO DAMN MUCHHH!!!!"
