"We couldn't find the Cocogoat, sorry about that Qiqi..." y/n said apologetically.
The child gestured for her to crouch and y/n did as she was told. Her eyes sparkling when Qiqi pat her on the head.
"It's okay, Miss y/n. It's disappointing but still okay." the child replied quietly.
"Aw... now Paimon feels bad..." Paimon murmured as y/n pat the disheartened Qiqi's head as well.
"What did you even need the Cocogoat for?" Aether asked, curious as to what a kid would need an adeptibeast for.
"Cocogoat milk is tasty. So tasty. Much better than normal goat milk. Only an adeptibeast could make such tasty milk." Qiqi explained, "I'm sorry. I have a... poor memory. I cannot remember the name. That's why I wrote it down. Where did I put it..."
The group of four watched a similar wandered away before returning with a piece of paper, "Here it is. Coconut milk."
Y/n froze, "H-Huh?"
Paimon, Aether and Zhongli were all just as stunned as the h/c haired girl.
Zhongli cleared his throat before saying, "I... owe you all an apology-"
"No you don't! Not at all!" y/n protested then laughed awkwardly, "Hah, I usually bring Qiqi coconut milk whenever I visit so it's my own mistake for not connecting the dots."
"Nobody could've seen this coming. Not even you, y/n." Aether assured the apologetic being of wholesomeness.
"Magbe a psychic could!" Paimon pointed out.
"Yeah, a psychic...." y/n and Aether agreed.
"Excuse me... did Qiqi say a bad thing?" Qiqi spoke up and y/n smiled at the child.
"No, it wasn't a bad thing. Just a misunderstanding." y/n chirped.
"So... who's gonna tell her?" Paimon questioned and all eyes turned to y/n.
She didn't seem at all bothered about being the one to tell Qiqi where coconut milk actually came from.
"Qiqi, coconut milk doesn't come from this adeptibeast you spoke of. It actually comes from coconuts." y/n began.
Qiqi frowned, "...really?"
"Mhm."
You could practically see the gears turning as Qiqi tried to process what y/n was telling her, a little puzzled.
"No... it can't be..." Qiqi mumbled
"Ohh dear..." y/n sighed then gestured for Qiqi to come closer, "Alright, come here. It'll be fine. I was just as shocked when Gramps told me strawberry milk doesn't come from pink cows."
Qiqi clung to y/n like a koala, continuing to ask questions while y/n pat her back.
"Seems like Qiqi took this pretty hard." Paimon commented but nobody was really listening(aside from y/n and that fatui roach she'd heard outside the Pharmacy).
'Y/n likes strawberry milk?' Zhongli and Aether wondered. Normal milk is way better-AHEM
"Well someone learnt a valuable life lesson today." a new voice spoke up, "Thank you all for looking after my little Qiqi."
Y/n didn't even have to look up to know who had spoken but she did anyways "Ah! Baizhu! Are you doing alright today? Feeling better, I hope-"
'AAAAA, THOSE EYES OF HIS ARE SO BREATHTAKING....!!!!' y/n shrieked internally.
"I'm feeling much better." Baizhu assured the worried y/n, patting her on the head, "Thank you, y/n."
She flinched, nearly short-circuiting but managed to get out a, "Of course-"
Y/n's flustered levels were through the roof at the moment and it didn't go unnoticed by the t̶w̶o̶ one other simps̶ in the room.
"Who are you?" Aether questioned, definitely not bothered by the fact that y/n was so flustered around this green haired newcomer.
"I'm Baizhu, boss of the Bubu Pharmacy." Baizhu introduced himself with a warm smile, "It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Oh. Paimon thought Qiqi was the boss but it's a green haired wacko who wears medicinal ingredients around his neck instead!" Paimon exclaimed and y/n nearly choked.
"Hey, Baizhu isn't a wacko-! He's nothing like a wacko!" y/n protested, "And Changsheng isn't medicine!"
"Changsheng?" Paimon echoed.
"Tch, this little mascot here is even more of a simpleton than Qiqi." Changsheng, the snake, huffed.
"THE MEDICINE TALKED!" Paimon cried.
"A talking snake...!" Aether breathed.
"Hmph! I prefer to stay silent. But faced with strangers, I must speak, lest you mistake me for an escapee from the medicine cabinet." Changsheng huffed.
"Haha, don't mind Changsheng. She's a good girl, really." Baizhu chuckled, "As for you four, what brings you here?"
"We're actually looking for Everlasting Incense!" y/n finally managed to say, "Do you have some here, Baizhu?"
"Everlasting Incense? Of course we do!" Baizhu replied and Paimon looked relieved.
"Finally, things seem to be going our way-" Paimon began to say.
"That'll be Three Million Mora. Top quality guaranteed." Baizhu finished with a charming smile.
"THREE MILLION WHAT!??" Aether and Y/n shouted, eyes wide with disbelief.
"That's a lot of mora..." y/n squeaked.
"You might as well just rob the Golden House!" Paimom cried then halted, "Ah, but the Qixing have taken it over... security will be tighter than-"
"Shut the hell up." y/n said out of nowhere, giving Paimon a look that promised pain.
"Oh!" Paimon realized her mistake, covering her mouth with wide eyes.
'That roach is still lurking outside...' y/n thought, eyes darting to to entrance of the Pharmacy where a Fatui member was hidden behind one of the pillars, 'But they heard Paimon so they already know. Should I tell someone?'
"Three Million Mora..." Zhongli murmured, "An innocuous number in and of itself, though practically speaking, it could be a hard sum to come by..."
"It's a crazy number, no way we could get that much!" Paimon complained, "And Zhongli is about Three Million Mora short!"
"This is correct." Zhongli agreed.
"This man has no shame..." Aether sighed, faceplaming himself.
"So what're we gonna do now? Go crawling back to Childe?" Paimon questioned.
Aether and Zhongli exchanged a look before shrugging, "Guess so."

Y/n was occupied with frantically trying to assure Qiqi that she was fine. The child having noticed that she was a lot warmer than usual(this is what simping does to you, kids, don't be a simp)
While she was doing so, Childe was laughing at Aether, Paimon and Zhongli for thinking a Cocogoat was an actual thing.
Tbh, I am too-
"Less laughing, more sympathy!" Paimon complained, pouting.
"I'm almost in tears over here-! Aha, thank you. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!" Childe chuckled, "I'm more than happy to sort out this mess you've gotten yourself into."
"About time." Aether sighed heavily.
He just wanted to leave and find his sister, is that too much to ask for?
While Childe was talking about business stuff, y/n swas preparing to leave.
AHEM, she had things to do.
A lot of things to do.
For example, she'd been asked to drop something off at the Wangshu Inn. Afterwards, she planned on heading to Guyun Stone Forest and maybe just sleeping there if she was too lazy to head home.
"I've gotta go now Qiqi. There's some things I need to do before it gets too late." y/n told the child who blinked.
"Can I help?" Qiqi asked.
'AAAAAAAAAAAAA' "Sorry Qiqi. Maybe another time, alright? I'll see you later."
"Oh. Okay." Qiqi said quietly.
"I've gotta go run an errand so I'll see you tomorrow!" y/n called as she hurriedly exited, "And Zhongli! Be sure to give Aether and Paimon a break, they've been running around all day!"
As y/n was passing, she'd spotted the roach she'd heard earlier. That roach just so happened to be Ekaterina.
The duo made eye contact and a silent message was passed between the two of them.
That message being-
"Roach."
