73: 𝑇𝑒𝑎
"Hey... Uncle Yagi?" Kira said nervously, sticking her head into the teachers lounge. It was smaller than the one upstairs. Just a few couches and a table with a tea pot.
All Might coughed slightly. "Oh! Kira hello! Do you need something?" The man asked, standing up from the couch. He was in his smallest form. Completely unprepared. He blew himself up and prayed to heaven she didn't realize what just happened.
"I need to talk to you... I need to... I need to tell you something." Kira said.
To say she was nervous was an understatement.
Sure she trusted that All Might wasn't going to kidnap her or sell her to anyone. But he was her guardian and she had been lying to him for years.
Longer than she had lied to Bakugou. And look where that got them.
All Might could take everything away from her. He could pull her from school. Actually he already was, she realized when glancing at the paperwork he was filing.
But He could also take away her allowance and even Miso. He had been mad at her earlier for simply skipping school. But keeping this from him for so long?
But she had to tell him. And now. Midoriya was planning on asking him about it and snitching in the process, Kira didn't know how long Bakugou could keep him away.
"Of course! Yes of course!" All Might said nervously. "Okay maybe she didn't see it. I'm in the clear..."
Kira wondered how she was supposed to even start. Was she supposed to just... Say it? Just rip off the band-aid or something?
She bit her lip. Thinking over her words until she had an idea.
"I know about One for all." Kira said simply. Instead of starting with her secret. Why not start with one of his?
He stared at her. His mind had gone completely insane from shock and fear and disbelief. "What... What do you mean? I don't understand." He said, deciding to play dumb.
"Your quirk. The one you're giving to Midoriya. I know it all. How it's passed down from user to user, how it's supposed to destroy a super villain known as All for One. The man who killed your former teacher and almost killed you."
He opened his mouth to say something but she didn't let him.
"I know that you considered giving it to me."
"I know that Midoriya is currently it's wielder, that you've been training him since last year."
"I know that you're scared he isn't ready for the danger he's in."
"I know that you won't be able to stay a pro for much longer."
"I know you can't hold your hero form for more than three hours, less if you've been fighting."
"I know your former sidekick told you that you're going to die soon if you keep this up."
"I know that I'm not supposed to know any of this... But I have known for years."
All Might stared at her in shock. But Kira wasn't done yet. She had been hoping to do this calmly. To do this maturely. So he'd have no choice but to take her seriously.
But she just couldn't.
Kira's voice trembled a little bit.
"I know you can't look at me without seeing mom."
"I know the reason you don't want me to be with anyone but Midoriya is because Mom had me with Dad when she was too young and you don't trust me to not make the same mistakes. That you trust Midoriya to be better than me. Than us."
Her voice broke and she began to cry.
"I know you enjoy being around Deku more than me."
"I know you skipped my graduation for his."
"I know you've never approved of my father."
"I know that Mr Aizawa argued with you about me when I skipped school."
"I know you're scared that if anything happened to me it would be like losing your sister all over again."
"I know that you'd do anything to keep me safe, even if it means keeping me from doing what I want."
"I know that you're currently doing the necessary paperwork to remove me from UA." Kira gestured at the papers sitting on the table in front of him. "Because I almost died in that explosion yesterday."
"I know that you barely believe what I'm saying right now. That you're trying to figure out how I know this. That you're thinking of excuses to make or some fake explanations."
"I know that for the first time in years you're actually trying. That you're trying to do better with me. You're trying to get to know me and I don't want that to end." She sobbed, rubbing her eyes. "I want you to keep trying because I need you."
"Kira... How..." All Might stammered.
He had never met someone that could just... List off everything. Verbalize things he barely acknowledged about himself. So quickly, so easily. She knew everything about him.
"How?!"
"But there is so much that you don't know." Kira admitted. Rubbing her eyes. She shook her head frantically.
"You don't know how happy being chosen for One for all would have made me."
"You don't know how sad I felt seeing on the news that you were in town on and off for years and you never bothered to even drop by. You spent more time with villains then you did with me."
"You don't know how for months after you left I would never leave my phone anywhere. That I spent hours by it, hoping you'd call. Waiting for a single word from you."
"You don't know what an asshole Midoriya can be."
"You don't know how scared I constantly am... Scared that something is going to happen to you."
"You don't know that I ran to UA and skipped school because I found out about the USJ attack. That you were in there and there were people planning on killing you."
"That I risked everything to make sure you were alright."
"That when you left me that first day... A week after my parent's funeral it felt like losing them all over again."
"You don't know that I barely ate at all for a week. That I passed out at school and when they tried to call they couldn't reach you. So I spent the night with a teacher that hated me."
"You don't know that Mr Aizawa is the only adult and hero I look up too because I can't find it in myself to trust any other."
"You don't know that I'd rather die than stay locked up in that apartment."
"That I never in my life had the type of friends that I have now. At UA."
"That if you put me in any other school I'll do anything I can to get expelled."
"That I'll fail every class."
"That I'll pick fights and even steal if I have too."
"That I'll ruin my future just to spite you."
"You don't know that I might just be in love with Bakugou Katsuki. And that I don't give a shit what you think of him."
Kira said. Then she blinked several times, over and over again. Did she actually just say that last part?
Kira lost the rhythm of her thoughts. Of her words and soon silence spread in-between them. They stared at each other. Neither able to put together a full thought after all of that. Especially with that end. She should have throught this though, maybe written something down beforehand.
Maybe she should have just said what she wanted. Not all of that. Even she didn't know how to process this.
All Might stared at her. Looked down then back up. His form shifted and he was small again. Himself, a skeletal man.
He then cleared his throat and glanced up at his sobbing niece.
"Do you uh... What to talk about this more... Over some tea?"

Over all her uncle had taken it...
Surprisingly well. In fact he was actually kinda glad Kira wasn't quirkless. Though he did have a little anger and bitterness in him because she hadn't told him.
But he also understood that he hadn't really given her opportunity to.
He seemed to accept this as her suddenly being stronger. Worthy of Being at UA. Useful and no longer some damsel in distress.
But he still felt hurt for her, when she told him everything. He had been in America when she was kidnapped, unable to leave the other country when his sister asked for his help.
After she was found no one ever told him exactly where she went. He had honestly assumed she had just run away. Because that's what the doctors told everyone when asked about her.
Right as Kira walked down the door after their very long talk it flew open before she even touched it.
A wide eyed Izuku Midoriya stood there. He looked like he had gone through some sort of nurse's office hell. With medical type wrapped haphazardly around his head and healed leg. He held half a melted icepack in one hand and a lollipop in the other.
Kirishima was hot on his trail.
"YOUNG KIRISHIMA!" All Might coughed, blowing up to his hero form right as he saw the boy. "Midoriya!" He smiled at the two and put a hand on Kira's shoulder.
"Sorry for interrupting sir!" Kirishima said with a smile. "You guys done?" He mentally asked Kira, who nodded.
"Oh it's no problem. We were just about to leave! Did you boys need anything?" He asked. The man had somehow completely forgotten anything Kira said against Midoriya. All Might was too far gone at this point, Kira wasn't sure she'd ever be able to reverse Deku's brainwashing.
But it's not like All might could take his quirk back. And dispite all of his faults Izuku DID want to be a hero. He DID want to save people and he DID want to become a symbol of hope of peace like All Might had been for him.
"Oh um..." Izuku looked between them and cleared his throat. "I..."
"Did you hear Midoriya?" All Might smiled at Kira who smiled at Izuku. "Kira actually does have a quirk!" The man announced proudly. Kira couldn't help the warm feeling she got when he talked about her like that.
Kirishima looked between them and smiled at Kira. Happy for her.
Midoriya felt intense anger at Kira and the world in general. But he smiled boldly. He couldn't lie to Kira. He realized that now. The reason she was so difficult was because she knew everything about everyone.
He hated her so much.
He was so jealous of her.
Born with a strong Quirk, he didn't give a shit what happened because of it.
She had two parents that had loved her, he didn't care if they were dead.
She had All might as her uncle, he didn't care about their issues.
She had Bakugou. Wrapped around her skinny finger. Practically in love with her.
He hated her.
"Yeah I heard! Your quirk is amazing Kira!" He smiled. "I wanted to thank you for saving me yesterday!"
"I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU."
Midoriya stared into her very soul while chanting the same phrase over and over again.
"You're welcome Izuku! Let's just hope I don't have to throw you out a window next time." Kira said with a playful smile. She walked past him. "Hey Kiri where's Bakugou?" She asked, ignoring him.
"Can she even hear me? What if she's lying about all of this?! How could someone not react to thoughts?" Midoriya thought with a frown. "Oh I hope she's lying -"
"Izuku I have years of practice ignoring thoughts. I have a good poker face, but it was a good question." Kira said, turning back with a smile.
Midoriya jumped away in shock. It was real. She could hear him. "THIS ENTIRE TIME?! NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. This could ruin me!!!" He thought.
Kira rolled her eyes and walked away with Kirishima who was just smiling at them.
"I can't tell if you guys are getting along or being mildly passive aggressive." He thought with a smile.
"I think we lost Bakugou when we left the nurses office." He explained to Kira. "When Midoriya bolted."
"Kira do you want-" All Might started.
"You go ahead and take Midoriya home. I have some things to do and I probably should drop by recovery girl's office." Kira said before All Might could offer to take her home.
"You sure?" All Might asked her.
Kira nodded with a smile. "Of course. Aizawa needed me to help him with something anyways."
