112: 𝐵𝑎𝑛𝑑-𝑎𝑖𝑑𝑠

"Alright, quick debrief time." Aizawa said once everyone was finally back. Kira walked in and stood next to Bakugou. Eating a cookie to try and refill her stomach.

They had been right, she swallowed a very small amount of Iida's blood, and when recovery girl made her throw up she lost it. Once it left her system they were both back to normal.

"You okay?" Bakugou whispered.

"Yeah, It's a long story. I'll tell you later." Kira whispered back.

"Team one, Todoroki and Iida. You both fought hard. Iida id advise you to be more aware of your surroundings. Kira's sneak attack cost you the flag." Aizawa said, nodding at Iida.

"Yes sir. I'm sorry." Iida said, tilting his head down. Hating himself for his loss.

"Deku, you're this round's MVP. You stayed on mission, saved your teammate and successfully placed the flag." Aizawa said. Then he turned to Kira who smiled at him.

"YES!!! I'm first! I'm the best! Did you hear that All Might??? Did you hear that Kacchan!? I won!!! Suck it Kira!"

"Thank you sir." Midoriya smiled and bowed slightly in respect.

"Kira, several notes. First off don't throw yourself off a building unless you have a way to catch yourself." He said, rubbing his eyes.

"I was like... Sixty percent sure Deku was gonna catch me." Kira shrugged. "And he did, so it was all good."

"ONLY SIXTY PERCENT???"

"Well for now on you should only do things if you're above eighty percent sure of your own survival." Aizawa critiqued.

"If I did that I wouldn't have came to this school." She mumbled and Bakugou elbowed her side.

"Also don't throw heavy machinery at your classmates." He added.

"It wasn't that heavy. And he caught it." She pointed out.

"Do you always have to say something back?" Her teacher asked with a glare.

"Just defending myself... But whatever."
Kira mumbled, crossing her arms.

"Overall you each performed very well." Aizawa ended. "And went above my expectations, you should be proud of yourselves." He praised, wanting to be nicer than usual because of the parents around.

"Yes... He's right. I should be... But we lost... My family saw me lose, again."

"I... Hate... Father... Stupid..."

"I win, I win! I'm number one! Hahaha!"

Kira shook her head with a chuckle at Midoriya mainly. He was happy about finally having his ego stroked. When she turned she almost bumped into someone.

Her uncle, standing close behind her. Before she could say anything or move she was surprised. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a hug.

Kira stiffened. Definitely not used to this contact. He hadn't hugged her since she had been in the hospital after passing out. At least that was the last one she remembered.

And now he was doing it? Why???

"You did a good job out there... I'm uh... I'm proud of you." He said, holding the back of her head.

Kira stood there, not really hugging him back. Her eyes were kinda wide, she was shocked and confused. Proud of her? Proud of her? She didn't think she'd ever heard him say that before.

But it was true. She could tell he was being honest.

She wanted to cry.

She'd spent years acting like she didn't care. Telling herself over and over again that he didn't matter to her. She didn't need her uncle's approval.

So why did this make her feel so... Sad? Happy? She didn't know, the feeling she got made her uncomfortable. It was too foreign to her.

She pushed away, looking to the side with a nervous chuckle. "Ha... Th-thanks." She mumbled, unable to look at him.

"Did I do something wrong? I'm sorry. I made you uncomfortable didn't I..."

"No it's... It's fine I'm..." She stammered. "I'm gonna go sit down now." She excused herself and sat back down in her chair. Pulling her legs up to her chest.

That was weird.

"Hey mom... Is Isamu coming?" Uraraka asked, turning around in her seat.

"He said he'll try. But it's going to be later, you know he works Honey." Her mom responded.

Shoto listened and frowned at his hand. Uraraka was asking after her older brother. Todoroki wondered if he should ask after his own but... He didn't expect Natsuo to come. He was still in college and didn't care much for him anyways.

Kira glanced over. Legs still pulled up to her chest as everyone chattered about the current match.

Momo and Jirou vs Koda and Hagakure.

She glanced at Bakugou. Him and Sero were next, against Uraraka and Shoji.

"Great it's against her again... With her quirk it's probably going to be a pain... Especially with the environment, lot's of shit she can float. But tape face might be able to counter it, by tethering things to the ground."
Bakugou sat there strategizing.

"Isn't that the same boy that was horrible during the sports festival? I heard the villains kidnapped him to try and make him evil. What if he's a spy of some sort?"

"Poor Ochaco..."

"I remember that girl from the sports festival, she's fighting the same guy she did then."

The memory of the sports festival was burned into everyone's heads. Bakugou vs Uraraka. And it was happening again.

Bakugou won, of course he did. Everyone saw it coming. Once he got his hands on the flag he couldn't be stopped. Ending the round after a short fifteen minutes.

He didn't lay a hand on Uraraka. Sero did all that work, taping up Shoji and keeping Uraraka from going after The flag. They had it in the bag.

Bakugou's confidence had been boosted, Uraraka's had been deflated, feeling as though she had once again failed in showing her parents how capable and strong she was. But she was met with praise and love.

Kira turned to the side quickly when she felt someone touch her. A hand placed over her scar, though this one was about four times smaller that Shigaraki's.

"Ouchie?" Zuzu, Denki's little sister asked. Her mom had given her permission to run around the room and play.

"It doesn't hurt." Kira said quietly. "Not anymore."

"Big boo boo."

Kira liked little kids. Their thoughts while mostly nonsense were... Simple.

They thought their own thoughts. Things that made sense to them. As people grow up the world influences their thoughts. They begin to think more about others. 'What would they think?' 'What will they do?' 'They said this' and 'I saw that.'

They change according to what they learn about their environment and other people. Toddlers didn't think like that. Kira liked it, there was no worry in them, they were innocent and cute. She hated life for taking that away from them. From her.

Zuzu toddled away and Kira smiled lightly at her. Then looked down at her leg, at the hand shaped scar on her skin.
It was a big 'boo boo.' Kira hated it.

Then Zuzu came back, Tsu's sister Satsuki followed holding a purse. Kira frowned at them, but Zuzu walked back over and touched her leg again. Taking the wrapping off of something.

Kira watched as she sloppily put a pink my little pony band-aid in the middle of the huge scar.

Kira felt like crying again.

At this kids simple gesture. It was just a fucking bandaid. She had been feeling like crying on and off all day. She hated parents weekend.

"I'll fix it Koko." Zuzu said, patting Kira's knee.

"Alright, thank you." Kira said with a smile. Zuzu put a total of four Band-Aids over Kira's scar.

"What are they doing." Bakugou asked, looking over at her. Sitting down after their debrief. He'd gotten MVP, obviously.

"Fixing my boo boo." Kira told him.

Satsuki looked up at him and walked around Kira. She took out a sticker and wordlessly stuck it onto Bakugou's gauntlet.

"He needs sparkle."

He stared at the kid. Eyes widened just slightly in shock at her weird illogical gesture. He looked down at the sparkly heart sticker she had put on his hero gear.

Kira snorted and covered her mouth, he glared at her and Satsuki looked between them. Then giggled and walked away.

Bakugou frowned at the sticker, but didn't take it off.
