Buildings burned, small fires crackled through the rubble. Shells of buildings stood, half collapsed and hollow without their iron skeletons. There was metal everywhere. A storm of steel and iron swirling in shards through the air.
The heroes were fools to try and corner Rikko Kurayami.
Since the beginning of quirks there were heroes and villains. Even before the concept of Meta abilities there was always good and evil.
But few of each category are powerful enough to make such a impression on the world. Scar it's history so deeply that all who hear your name cower.
Rikko Kurayami had no allias. No code name. He didn't need a persona to inspire fear in civilians and heroes, his own name and reputation did it all on it's own. The name 'Kurayami' had been simply that, a name. Until it was passed to the man that made it infamous.
Rikko Kurayami had the strength of an army. The concept of his quirk was a relatively simple one; Metallokinesis. In even simpler terms it was the ability to manipulate metals with your mind.
But Rikko's personal strength made the ability more powerful than the quirks of any known hero or villain. In his prime he could destroy an entire skyscraper without moving a finger.
Or so people said. No one saw him in his prime, he seemed to appear out of nowhere one day, building a name for himself quickly.
He robbed banks without lifting a finger. Body wrapped in an iron suit of armor. On average only his head was visible. Long hair as red as blood, grey eyes as pale as iron. No one knew his motives, what he wanted. Power? Wealth? Change? He had no manifesto. That made him more powerful, no one knew what could make him stop. Several heroes tried and failed. The ones who survived without injury were lucky, blessed even. Those who died were martyrs to the hero's side.
Fire. Kurayami walked through fire created by Endeavor, a low tier hero who would one day be number two.
But not today.
He was on the ground. Unconscious. The hero hadn't been hard for Kurayami to fight. Metal wrapped around him, Endeavors fire would heat it to an extreme amount before it would melt. Even if the pro woke up, he wouldn't be able to easily free himself.
Other pros were scattered about. Some no longer having the will or power to fight... Some no longer having breath in their lungs. Or life in their body.
Kurayami stood in the middle of it.
He had anticipated an ambush. Leaving him more than able to defend himself when pros and officers ran out in attack. Quirks and Bullets were fired. Honestly what were they thinking? Metal Bullets against him? Such a small insignificant piece of metal could never get close enough to pierce his skin.
The officers were each killed with their own ammo.
"STOP!!!"
A voice ran out. Someone ran towards the villain. Kurayami stood among the dead and injured, fire licking at the metal coating him.
He turned and was met with a quick hit. He had seen it coming, but was still... Surprised somehow. Kurayami had never actually expected...
For the hero to be so stupid.
"You're a fool..." Kurayami said, staring at the panting pro hero. "Ingenium."
Unlike usual he wasn't in his hero costume... He had on simple civilian clothes, forsaking his armor because he knew metal would only make Kurayami stronger.
"I couldn't stand by... And still call myself a hero." He said, standing strong. Kurayami stared for a few moments. Almost ready to laugh.
"Then not only are you a fool... But you're a prideful one as well." He said simply. Staring him down with his almost icy grey eyes. Studying him.
Though he didn't attack. He seemed... Intrigued. Interested, confused and probably even amused.
"Someone... Has to stop you." Ingeuinum's engines started up. Humming in his shoulders and legs.
"Can a drop of water stop a wave? Can a pebble stop magma? You're nothing but fuel to my fire." He laughed. "You are aware... You're a walking tincan... right?"
"M-maybe..." The oldest Iida whispered. Fire spreading closer. "But I can no longer sit by... Do nothing..."
"Well... Then I hope me destroying you helps you feel better about yourself." Rikko said, extending a hand in his direction.
"Just know... It won't please me much to crush you."
