Todoroki walked through the halls. His eyes trained on the ice. As he made his way up he made sure to check for any footprints or marks indicating his opponents traveled over it. There were none.

He hoped they were completely trapped. He was taking a risk leaving his partner outside, a small one. But still a risk. But even if they did free themselves, he was certain he'd be able to handle them.

The boy wouldn't be a problem. However the daughter of Kurayami might be. She was top of the class in that test their teacher did yesterday. But overall she seemed to lack confidence in her quirk, likely from a lack of training.

Shoto was thoroughly trained in his own. Freezing the entire building with precision. Even with only his ice he was a force to be reckoned with.

He made to a doorway sealed shut. Inside he heard a voice.

"Come back to the bomb now! I-I- don't care what your plan was! I can't defend it on my own! I'm stuck to the ground."

He heard a male voice say, sounding nervous and desperate. Todoroki wasted no time, forcing open the door. Just as he thought when he heard the voice. Ojiro was standing in the room. Shivering and frozen to the ground talking frantically into his communication device. Meanwhile Kurayami was no where to be found. There weren't even any signs of her breaking out of Todoroki's ice. So... She must've either avoided it, or she wasn't in the room when he first launched the attack.

"Kurayami hurry! Come back now please listen to me your plan isn't going to work!!" Ojiro said. Looking at Todoroki in panic. He balled his fists up.

As though he could fight Todoroki like this. Stuck to the ice.

Todoroki walked forward with a completely straight face.

"Pry yourself up if you want... But it might be hard to fight me with no skin on the bottom of your feet." Shoto said calmly. Ice clinked under his feet. His boots were designed with small metal spikes on the bottom. Making walking on his own ice a piece of cake.

He stopped infront of Ojiro. Just out of arms reach. The blonde boy sweat dropped. Obviously very panicked.

"It's not your fault... We're just playing on different levels-"

Todoroki would have seemed really cool saying this line... That is if he wasn't literally swept off his feet at the tail end of it.

Metal soles when fighting Kurayami was most definitely a very bad idea. But in his defense he simply... Didn't think about it. It's easy to forget the tiny details made up of metal all around us. But Nova knew them all too well.

Her platform that had been floating right over the door Todoroki walked through dropped. The boy turned as his speech was cut off but suddenly his own shoes betrayed him. Lifting off the ground like his feet had been kicked out from under him. Landing on his chest and face on the icy ground.

He tried to get up. But his feet weren't cooperating with him. The metal in his shoes lifting them up and stopping him from moving his legs. He cursed under his breath.

Kurayami.

He reached his hand out and touched the floor, releasing twice the ice at Nova. Who hovered close to him. She dodged, metal coming up as a shield in front of her. Taking the brunt of the attack.

"...Sorry." Nova apologized, she had never actually hurt anyone before like this. Or fought with her quirk. "You should probably check your surroundings next time..."

"Ha! How's that for different levels?" Ojiro asked with a smile.

Even though he had done more than act as bait.

All Might watched the match with the rest of the students. Who were speaking amongst themselves.

Todoroki had shown a great display of power. Freezing the entire building from top to bottom... But Nova had been smart enough to not only avoid it, but then use it to her advantage.

She was intelligent. And strong.

Just as her father had been.

"All Might, sir?" The voice of a young teen girl caught his attention. A black haired girl held up her hand. "Is it true that you fought in a battle with Kurayami's Father? If so what's your opinion in her studying here?"

All Might coughed at the young student's sudden bluntness. At a loss for words, clearing his throat. "I don't know if that's an appropriate subject but... Yes." He said cautiously. The last thing he wanted was to fuel any types of negative opinions on the girl. But he also didn't want to lie to them about anything either.

Honestly even he didn't know what to think about her. He figured he'd simply have to... Wait and see what type of person she was. With her upbringing anyone would become a villain. But this girl was at UA right? That was definitely a step in the right direction.

"Yes I did Fight Rikko Kurayami. Around five years ago... He was one of the toughest battles I've ever faced." He admitted. It was no lie either. Honestly Kurayami was second only to All for one. All Might's greatest enemy.

"I read that it lasted almost eight hours!" Midoriya stammered. "And leveled an entire abandoned city."

"Woah really? That's a long time." Another boy said. "Totally manly... Hey will we learn how to fight that long at UA? Is there a trick to it?" The redhead looked up at All Might in question.

"It wasn't really something I trained for... It just required stamina and... Sheer determination." All Might admitted. He found himself nervously sweating. Sheer determination on both sides.

If he was being completely honest that fight had almost killed the both of them. It could have quite literally been anyones fight. Kurayami was utterly terrifying. Not based on how he looked exactly or anything like that.

It was the amount of power and will that he had possessed.

Since then All Might had never met a villain quite like the man. And still had trouble placing him. Though he wouldn't ever admit it outloud, not in a press conference or even to these students....

He didn't believe the man had been pure evil.

All Might could usually tell. Sense it in a fight. The evil of his opponents edged him on. But Kurayami? He was... Different in a way the hero couldn't explain. It still gave him shivers to this very day. Almost Five years after Rikko's execution.

"Do you think... She's as dangerous as he was?" Another girl asked. Wearing a jacket and a pink ripped up tank top. She seemed nervous, on edge.

"Of course not! Haha." All Might said with a smile.

Of course the moment he said that you could see Nova on the screens. Throwing Todoroki across the room by his feet before securing him tightly against the wall with a sheet of metal. Upside-down.

All Might let out a nervous laugh. "Well I mean... N-no more dangerous than any other hero course student I suppose..." He said nervously. Praying this conversation would end soon.

Nova quickly swiped Todoroki's earpiece. She figured it would be best if he couldn't communicate with his teammate. She then took out the capture tape and wrapped a small amount of it around his leg. Officially capturing him.

"We could always just wait for the time to run out..." Ojiro said. "It doesn't look like Shoji is coming up."

"No..." Nova bit her lip. "I think it would be better if I just capture him too. It'll be quicker."

"What's it matter? It'll be safer if we both stay by the bomb!" Ojiro argued.

"Just... Comm me if anything happens." Nova said, tapping her ear. "And... Stay here. This won't take long."

She left him in the room. She hoped he didn't see her as arrogant or anything. But in reality... She was nervous about his feet. If they waited it out it would take another ten minutes at least, Nova wasn't sure how quickly frostbite worked. But she assumed the sooner Todoroki freed him from the ice the better. And he would only do that if the match was over.

She didn't know why she didn't say it... Maybe she should have told him. She just didn't want him to feel bad about getting stuck. If she had been faster she probably could have saved him too. But she wasn't fast enough.

She jogged through the halls until she got to the bottom floor. Keeping her eyes peeled for the large boy she knew she had to fight. She used her quirk to attract several of the metal panels on the walls. Making them float behind her. For future weapons. She'd need them at this point.

She heard footsteps approaching. Rapidly.

She turned in the direction, her guard up. Then the footsteps stopped with a loud thump. And there was another weird noise. Like sliding.

When she turned she saw something moving towards her rapidly. On the ground. It looked like a folded shield of arms rushing towards her.

It took her two seconds to realize what was going on.

Shoji, the boy with the tentacle arms had figured out he couldn't run on the ice. Instead he was sliding on his stomach, his extra limbs folded over his head like a shield while a few more used the walls of the hallway to propel his way towards her at a rapid speed.

Making him a fortified sled.

A single eye pointed at her from the top so he could see his way. Her eyes widened in panic. She had a few seconds. Two or three. Her only option was to either make a wall or jump over him.

She did the later, though it probably wasn't the best idea. She dove over him and fell into a roll, sliding backwards away from him as she moved towards the staircase.

"Ah!" Nova cried out as the ice pulled her away, she created a small knife to stab into the ice and stop her sliding. At the same time she sent a modified metal sheet towards him. A wire wrapped around his legs and Nova secured it to the wall. Stopping his quick escape towards Todoroki.

She saw he had several eyes and ears as he quickly turned to try and free himself.

He likely heard he coming, decided to charge her in hopes of forcing his way in. Her heart pounded in her chest, it almost worked.

She dragged him towards her, away from the doorway he was attempting to get too. Back towards her, even though she was still laying on the ground.

And manipulated all of the sheets of metal she had collected. Covering him as best she could and securing him into the icy floor. Tugging herself towards him on her knees using a cord she quickly did the same as she did with Todoroki. Wrapping the tape around his foot.

There were a few seconds of silence. Then she heard a buzzer and a voice through her ear piece.

"That's it!!! The villain team is victorious!"
