I was looking at Cloud while I was finishing my breakfast. Maaga akong nagising ngayon at halos sumasabay na rin ako sa gising ni Cloud habang naririto kaming dalawa. It's our third day here and we're planning to go out again. Naghahanap na rin ako ng iba pa naming pwedeng puntahan na ipapakita ko mamaya kay Cloud.
The food was good, the staff here at the hotel were also good. They were very nice and accommodating. Lahat sila rin ay magagalang at never kong nakita ang mga ito na nakasimangot sa kapag nagpupunta sa kwarto namin para maghatid ng pagkain. We usually order breakfast since we're eating out for lunch and dinner.
I was busy munching with the fresh strawberries while watching him work. Hindi ko mapigilang mapasimangot habang nakatingin sa kanya dahil napag-usapan naming dalawa na walang magtatrabaho sa aming dalawa habang narito kami... though I can understand him. Hindi naman din talaga pwedeng hindi ito sumagot ng tawag kapag kailangan ito sa kumpanya nito.
I also checked the office from time to time. Kinakausap ko ang secretary ni Daddy para kumustahin ang lagay ng opisina at sinasabi naman nito na maayos ang lahat, kung utos iyon ni Daddy o hindi ay hindi ko naman din alam. Maybe things are really going smoothly and if that's the case, I am happy to hear that.
"Yes, Dad. I already talked to Tito Thunder about it and he told me to just submit the proposal to him and he will review it. Tito Blue added some ideas and scenarios and I already put those in the proposal for Tito Thunder's approval."
Mas kumunot ang noo ko habang nakatingin dito. So, he was talking to his Dad. Must be the reason why he couldn't say no.
"Yes, yes. I already discussed it with him," he said again before looking at me, he gave me a small smile.
Napaiwas naman ako ng tingin bago muling pinagtuunan ng pansin ang kinakain ko. Hindi ko rin napigilan na pamulahan ng pisngi. He was staring at me while talking to his dad during their virtual meeting.
Nang muli akong lumingon sa kanya ay nakatingin pa rin siya sa akin. Pinanlakihan ko na siya ng mga mata.
"Focus on your meeting," I mouthed and he just smiled at me.
"Yeah, I am good here. I am enjoying my stay here, Dad," Cloud said again while still looking at me. "You don't have to worry about me," he added and gave his dad a fleeting look before glancing back at me.
"Of course, I will call Caryl later, and mom, too."
Hindi pa ito nakakapag-almusal dahil sa maaga rin ang naging tawag para sa meeting nito. I think it was just 7 am in the Philippines.
Tumayo na lang ako at kumuha ng kape at naglagay sa plato nito ng almusal at dinala iyon sa lamesa kung saan nasaan si Cloud at inilapag iyon doon para naman makakain na rin ito.
He smiled and said thank you to me. Tumango lang ako sa kanya at bumalik na rin sa lamesa para tapusin ang pagkain ko.
I was just waiting for him while checking my phone. As usual, marami na naman akong natatanggap na messages mula sa dalawang kaibigan ko, asking me how's my day. Si Ryn ay tinatanong ako kung kumusta na ba kami ni Cloud.
I just messaged them that I will just bring them some goodies so they won't bother me. I honestly don't know what I should call what's happening between me and Cloud.
We're fine... more than fine, I think? We're not bickering, we're not fighting, we get along well... like before.
He said he waited for me, and he still loves me... and I know I feel the same. I feel the same way towards him, but I really have no idea what to call what's happening to us.
To call it a mutual understanding is such a cringe. Hindi naman na rin bagay sa amin ni Cloud ang ganoong tawag.
So, ano ba talaga kami?
I shook my head a little and finished what I was eating. Hinayaan ko na lang din muna si Cloud at nagsenyas na lang ako sa kanya na papasok na sa kwarto para maligo at magpalit ng damit.
When I got inside, I looked at the bed and saw Cloud's shirt on it. Lumapit ako sa kama at dinampot iyon at sinamyo. He smells really good. I hate to admit but I really like smelling him, sniffing him when he's hugging me.
After the first night of sleeping in separate rooms, Cloud asked me if he could sleep beside me. I gave him permission so he's now sleeping in my room, too. Ang mga gamit nito ay nasa kwarto pa rin na dapat na ookupahin nito.
I smiled a little and folded his clothes before checking my things and looking for something to wear. Nagpunta na rin ako sa banyo para maligo para na rin hindi na maghihintay si Cloud ng matagal sa akin mamaya.
I was wearing the bathrobe when I got out of the bathroom and saw Cloud sitting on the bed, waiting for me.
"Hey... your meeting's done?" I asked him and he nodded his head.
"Come here," he said and tapped his lap. I raised my brow on him and he chuckled. Tumayo ito at hinila na ako upang maupo ako sa kandungan nito. Hinawakan niya ang bewang ko at ibinaon ang mukha sa leeg ko.
"Hmm? What's wrong?" I asked him as I caressed his cheek. "May problema ba sa trabaho?"
He shook his head and hugged me tight. "I'm sorry. I promised that we're not going to be interfered with by work yet I attended a meeting..."
I chuckled a little and looked at him.
"It's okay, Cloud. We know we really can't ignore our responsibilities and you have a big one. So, don't be sorry, okay?" I told him as I patted his cheek softly. "Kumain ka na ba?"
He nodded his head but he was still hugging me. Nakalapat pa rin ang labi nito sa leeg ko habang mahigpit pa rin akong yakap.
"It's really okay, okay? Don't be upset. Besides, it's just what? One hour? Two hours? We're here the whole day. So... come on. Maligo ka na para makalabas na tayo."
He smiled against my neck and bit it gently.
"Cloud Stefan!" hinampas ko ang balikat niya kaya lumingon siya sa akin. There was a playful little smile pasted on his face.
"I really love you, you know?" masuyong sabi nito bago mabilis akong hinalikan sa mga labi.
Hindi ako nakasagot sa kanya. I kept my lips shut while staring at him.
"Alright, I will prepare now. I'll see you in a bit, baby," he said before guiding me to stand up. Lumabas na rin ito ng kwarto para lumipat sa kabila at makapag-ayos na rin.
I know he wanted to hear those words from me, too... but I feel scared of saying it.
Maybe I really should talk to Cloud about what's bothering me... I mean, how could he forgive me that easily? How could he forget what happened before?
I could still remember how he asked me to stay... how hurt he was with what I said... paanong wala lang ang lahat ng iyon sa kanya noon?
"I really should talk to him about it..." nakatingin sa sariling repleksyon sa salamin na sabi ko. I should let it out of my chest so I will be able to really speak what I feel. Nahaharangan ako ng takot, ng duda... and with what Cloud is showing, he didn't deserve any of it.
I just put on light makeup before I dressed up. Hinayaan ko lang din na nakalugay ang buhok ko bago ako lumabas ng kwarto nang masigurado kong maayos na ang itsura ko.
Malinis na rin ang pinagkainan namin ni Cloud at nakuha na ng staff ang mga iyon. I just stayed on the couch while waiting for Cloud.
Hindi naman din ako matagal naghintay dahil lumabas na rin ito at lumapit sa akin. He's wearing his eyeglasses again and I smiled at him. He offered his hand to me so I gladly took it and got up on my feet. Hinalikan niya naman ako sa noo nang makatayo na ako.
Sabay na rin kaming naglakad papalabas ng hotel para sumakay sa sasakyan.
"I haven't seen your sister..." panimula ko habang nasa sasakyan kami. I just heard her name a couple of times, but I haven't seen her.
"You haven't seen my parents, too, baby," he chuckled and reached for my hand. Napasimangot ako sa sinabi niya pero totoo naman iyon. Hindi ko pa naman talaga nakikita sa personal ang mga magulang ni Cloud, pero nakita ko na sila sa pictures, at masasabi kong pinaghalo talaga ang features ng parents ni Cloud dito.
"You know what I am saying," I rolled my eyes and tried to pull my hand back but he just helod it tighter.
"I know. Don't worry, I will introduce you to them when we get back."
Mabilis siyang napalingon kay Cloud. Ipapakilala siya nito sa mga magulang nila? Seryoso ba ito?
"What? But why?" takang-tanong niya sa lalaki. Ito naman ang parang nagtaka sa tanong niya rito.
"What why? Of course I will introduce you to them, baby. They should know who's the one making me happy," he smiled at me and kissed my hand.
Bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko habang nakatingin dito. Ipapakilala ako nito sa mga magulang nito... does that mean he's really serious about us? About me?
I looked at him and filled my lungs with air. I think I really should talk to him now.
"Cloud, I want to–" I was cut off when his phone rang.
Nakatingin naman sa akin si Cloud habang tumutunog ang telepono nito. He was waiting for me to say what I was saying earlier.
"What is it, baby?" he asked me again, he put his phone on silent and looked at me again.
"Aren't you going to answer that?" I asked him and looked at his phone. I saw the caller ID's name.
Therese.
"I can just call her later. You're saying something. What was that, baby?" he asked me again. Namatay ang tawag ngunit muling nagring ang telepono nito.
I heaved a sigh and shook my head.
"Sagutin mo na muna 'yan. Baka importante," sabi ko sa kanya bago binawi ang kamay ko at tumingin na muna sa labas.
Wala naman ding nagawa si Cloud kung hindi sagutin ang tawag. Hindi ko kilala kung sino ang Therese na tumatawag sa lalaki. He never mentioned anything about her to me. Alam kong hindi naman din iyon ang secretary ni Cloud.
"Hello, Therese," Cloud greeted the person in the other line.
Kahit ayaw kong makinig, hindi ko magawang hindi marinig si Cloud. He's just sitting beside me.
"Yeah, I'm not in the Philippines right now," he added and I felt his hand reach mine. He intertwined it with his and squeezed my hand.
"I'm occupied right now, so I will just call you back if I have free time," he added while playing with my hand. I looked at him and he was staring at me. Kumunot ang noo ko sa kanya.
Sinubukan kong bawiin ang kamay ko ngunit hinigpitan niya ang hawak dito.
"Yeah, yeah, sure. Alright, bye."
He ended the call and smiled at me.
"So, what were you saying earlier?" he asked me again.
"Who's... Therese?" hindi ko napigilan na tanungin dito dahil hindi mawala sa isipan ko ang tanong kung sino ba ang babaeng kausap nito.
"A friend, baby," he simply replied.
"A friend?" ulit na tanong ko habang nakatitig pa rin sa lalaki. Bahagyang kumunot ang noo ni Cloud ngunit tumango rin ito sa akin.
"Yes, baby. Just a friend," he said and smiled. "Don't be jealous, I don't love her the way I love you."
I creased my forehead and rolled my eyes to hide my embarrassment. Hindi ko maitago ang pamumula ng pisngi ko kaya tumingin na lang akong muli sa labas ng sasakyan.
"So, what was that you were saying earlier?" he asked me again. Ipinarada na ang sasakyan sa isang mall na pupuntahan namin ni Cloud ngayon. I am planning to buy some things for me, for my parents, my friends and maybe... for Cloud's parents and sister as well.
"Nakalimutan ko na, e. Let's go?" aya ko sa kanya bago nauna ng lumabas sa sasakyan. Cloud groaned a little when I pulled my hand and walked out of the car. Sumunod naman din kaagad siya sa akin at sabay na kaming naglakad papasok sa loob ng mall.
He was holding my waist while we're walking.
"Walang aagaw sa akin dito sa'yo," sabi ko sa kanya na natatawa dahil ayaw niyang alisin ang kamay niya sa bewang ko.
"You're not sure," he scoffed and continued walking by my side.
"I am sure. Hindi naman talaga nila ako aagawin sa'yo," I stopped walking and looked at him. Huminto rin siya sa akin at tinignan ako.
"Yeah, because I won't let that happen, Ashanti. I won't let anyone take you away from me again." Seryoso ang mukha nito habang titig na titig sa akin.
"Cloud..."
"I lost you once before, I will not let that happen again," he added and heaved a sigh. "So, yes. I will hold you tight and will never let you go again, Ashanti."
He offered his hand to me and I looked at it.
Unti-unti akong ngumiti sa kanya at tumango.
"Fine..."
Kumunot ang noo niya. "Fine what?"
I held his hand and looked at him, I smiled a little.
"Let's not let each other go again..." I said.
