76: 𝑈𝐴
Kira walked down the halls, was she supposed too? No probably not. But with Bakugou healthy and gone Kira was lonely.
She knew he was here. Him and another person she wanted to see. But she decided if she was going to bother someone in recovery, it ought to be Midoriya.
"Wake up bitch." Kira mumbled. Looking in the room. Midoriya's arms were bandaged up and being held up by slings. The rest of him didn't look too much better either.
"Ah!" The boy yelped as Kira walked in. Sitting down next to his bed. "Kira..." He whispered with wide eyes.
"In the flesh." Kira said, she picked up a box of chocolate let for him as a gift.
"Your hair is longer... You look like an actual girl now." He mumbled.
"Watch it. Or I'm pulling the plug." Kira warned after his backhanded compliment.
"I'm not on life support." Midoriya rolled his eyes. "Anymore."
"You really planning on running?" Kira asked. Changing the subject.
Midoriya had been down a few halls. So she could hear him as he woke up and started to contemplate leaving UA. He was scared Shigaraki and all for one would try to go after his quirk. He didn't want all of UA to be destroyed in the process.
"What? You planning on stopping me?" Midoriya asked. "I figured you'd want me gone."
Kira rolled her eyes and bit into a chocolate. She ignored all the hard candies that he also received. The thought of eating them made her sick. "Please, if I wanted you gone I would have gotten rid of you awhile ago. You must know by now I don't actually hate you."
"Why not?" He asked. His voice was hoarse as he Looked up at her through his bandages. Eyes squinting.
"I kinda just feel bad for you." Kira admitted. "I have hope you'll become a better person. And I'm right, you're better now than you used to be."
"Guess that's true..." Midoriya whispered.
"I won't stop you. Mainly because I owe you one, so if you want to Leave UA... That's your choice." Kira shrugged, flipping through the get well soon cards laying on the table.
"Right..." He whispered. "You think it's the right thing?"
She snorted. "No. But you do. Besides it'll be a good way to let you blow off some steam."
"Guess you'll have UA all to yourself then... You and Kacchan will probably be happier that way." Midoriya said with a certain sadness in his eyes.
"I'm not going back yet either." Kira admitted. "The hospital hasn't let me out and even then... I don't feel..." She stopped and put the cards back. Closing her eyes. "I don't know what to do anymore..."
She really didn't. She wasn't ready. She didn't want too go back yet. She didn't want too see the campus or train or get ready to fight again.
All she wanted was peace... And Bakugou. Maybe she just needed time.
"Everyone... Everyone was really worried about you." Midoriya told her. "Even I was when she sent that message. She seemed so different..."
"I know... I've gotten a chance to talk too most of them. Before they had to go back. I don't want to disappoint them by staying away but..." She took a shuddering breath. "I don't want them to see how... How broken down I am either."
"You should take some time then. Isn't that normal after being literally abducted? Jeez have you ever tried therapy?" Midoriya asked, his tone was rude and impatient. But she could tell deep down he was actually a little... concerned.
"My uncle is already setting it up. He wants to wait a few more days though, so it's not immediate." Kira nodded. "Thinking about talking to a stranger about this makes me sick. Talking to anyone about it does really."
"Well then I guess you'll just have too suffer." He mumbled. "Not like I care..."
Kira smiled softly.
"Thanks buddy."

"Thank you for answering questions again." Naomosa said sheepishly. "I'm sorry to have to bother you so much during your recovery."
"Don't be." Kira shrugged. "It's been fun."
Naomasa nodded and shook her hand. "Thank you, you've been very helpful too us. Since the beginning."
"How's Tammy doing?" Kira asked. She looked at her hand, the skin tingled slightly where he had touched her. She noticed that recently, she wasn't sure what it was though. Recently whenever someone touched her the hair on the back of her neck stood up and her skin tingled. At least when. They first made contact. Even Bakugou.
It didn't seem to be a fear response. So she wasn't sure what the cause was. She thought maybe she just had gone so long without being touched all that often.
"She's pretty great. An odd kid but she's super into it." Naomasa shrugged.
"I'm glad." Kira smiled.
"It would be great... To have you both there. You know, whenever you're ready. No rush." Naomosa said cautiously. "I mean if you still... Want..." He shook his head. "Sorry I'm rambling."
Kira chuckled. "No it's fine. I'm sure I will come back your way eventually..."
"Right." He nodded with a smile. "I should be going again. The station can barely function without me." He joked.
Beep.
Kira chuckled. "Hey I didn't know it did that." She responded to the beep.
"Huh?" Naomasa asked with a frown.
"Nothing, I just didn't know your quirk reacted when you lied too." She shrugged.
Naomasa blinked. "It doesn't?"
Kira raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" She asked.
He shrugged. "My quirk doesn't go off when I lie. Just when everyone else does."
Kira frowned. "But it just went off?"
He shook his head. "No it didn't."
"Lie again." Kira sat up. Had she really just imagined it? But it had been so clear. Clearer than usual actually.
"Uh... I'm a villain?" Naomasa said in question. Lying about the first thing that came to mind.
Beep
"See?" Kira asked him.
He stared at her. "Uh... No?"
Kira's eyebrows bent together in confusion. "That's weird."
"Could it be from something else?" He asked. She shook her head.
"No I don't... I don't think so." Kira frowned.
He stared at her for a few seconds. "Well I know she's not lying about hearing it... She seems serious and I don't think she's the type to hallucinate..."
He shrugged and thought of the first thing to do to figure this out.
"I'm calling a doctor."
