74: 𝐷𝑒𝑏𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑓
"Kira?" Naomasa said, sitting across from the girl as she sat up on her bed. "Hey..."
Kira smiled slightly at him, since the initial reunion between her and everyone else she hadn't smiled all that much. She still seemed to be herself but a little more reserved...
Which in all honesty was better than Most of them had expected from someone who went through what she did.
Bakugou hadn't left her side, to the point where reluctantly the nurses switched rooms so they both had a bed. Bakugou sat in hai with his arms crossed. Wanting to be closer, but content for now to just be with her. Close enough that he could reach out and brush her if he really tried.
"We were all so worried for you... I... I was worried for you." Naomasa said. He was having trouble expressing everything he felt. The horror and fear he had felt when he found out. The desperation he faces when he wasn't able to find her. And now the relief that came over him when he saw here here.
"I know..." Kira whispered, hoping he'd see she understood how he felt.
He gave a strained smile and nodded. "I... I really am glad to have you back." The man said awkwardly. "I got you the bear." He gestured at the stuffed animal on the table next to all the cards. It's from everyone at the station but... I picked it out."
"Thanks Naomasa... For everything." Kira said with a smile. Looking at the bear.
"Now." Naomasa cleared his throat and adjusted himself. "There's no rush. We understand that what you went through was hard and will be difficult to talk about but... The more information we have the better... If you want to wait we can until you're ready but-"
"No it's... It's alright." Kira shook her head. "Honestly I was isolated for most of it. Especially the first week or so... I barely saw anyone..."
"Right." Naomasa nodded. "That alone could drive anyone crazy... But it wasn't all she went through... That much is obvious."
"I was brought in with most of the league once. After the first week, it seemed like they couldn't decide what to do with me... Some of them wanted me dead while others thought I'd be useful in some way..." Kira hugged her arms. "That's when I came up with the plan to steal the blood from Toga. It turned out to be Midoriya's."
"Right... And who all was there? Who all did you see in person?" Naomasa asked, taking out his notebook. "Knowing the inner circle and anyone Kira interacted with could be helpful. Especially if she has any information on them..."
"Spinner, the man with the gecko quirk. He was the main one who wanted me dead. He's a stain follower and wasn't happy with the fact that I shot him down." Kira said, thinking for a moment. "Dabi who..." She frowned.
"Endeavor's son." Naomasa said. "He released a video publicly right after the attack, I think it's because he knew you'd tell us anyways. He also wanted to bash is father's image."
"The hell?" Bakugou spoke up. "Crusty bastard is The dirt bag's brother? So that's fucking why he did it."
Kira shook her head. "No... No Shoto didn't know Dabi was his brother." She said. "He became involved before Dabi did..."
"Really?" Naomasa asked, writing it down.
"Where... Where is he? I know he was arrested but..." Kira asked.
"Hell." Bakugou mumbled.
"He's in Tartarus." Naomasa corrected Bakugou. "While it's a little unorthodox to send a Minor there without a full trial... It was the only place we were sure could hold him."
"He should be dead." Bakugou grumbled to himself. "This is all his fault. Everything that happened. Kira's hurt and almost died because of him."
"Let's get back on topic." Naomasa said slowly, giving Bakugou a stern look. "Anyone else notable."
"I saw Hawks." Kira shrugged. "Took a few good hits to help keep his spy secret safe."
"You did what?" Naomasa asked with a frown.
"I ran into him when I was running away. I was really just trying to cover up the fact that I swiped blood by making a break for it but... I got pretty damn close." Kira chuckled. "Then I ran into Hawks and figured out his mission. I made him seem like an actual villain by fighting him and letting him take me back."
"I'm gonna kill him." Bakugou thought decisively. "I don't even care that he sent out that message. He probably just felt guilty."
"What message?" Kira asked.
"Hawks gave your uncle a book with a code inside. Warning us that the liberation army was our enemy, and telling us they had you captive." Naomasa explained.
Kira hummed slightly and looked down at the blankets over her legs.
"I think this is Enough questions for now." Naomasa decided. He didn't want to do too much with her. Still worried over her mental condition. "But... Well I'm not sure if you're aware... Or if it will make you feel any better but... Well I figured you should know..."
He took a breath and looked down, then back at her. "The villain known as... As Momma died during the battle in the Villa."
Kira continued to state at her sheets.
"They found her... With another villain. We're not sure who there's no records of him but... It looks like she killed him and then... Shot herself..." Naomasa explained slowly. Waiting for Kira to react.
"Zane..." Kira whispered. Staring at her sheets.
"I'm... I'm sorry?" Naomasa asked, leaning closer.
"His name was Zane... And he... He wasn't a villain." Kira rubbed her eyes. "He... He was my friend... He patched me up he... He saved me."
Naomasa's eyes widened slightly as he listened, he hadn't been expecting her to tell him that. Bakugou leaned over and touched her arm gently. Trying to comfort her as best he could from that distance.
"I had no idea..."
"He let me out of my cell during the attack. He was set on getting me to a pro so they could save me... But Momma... She stopped us... S-she shot at me but-" Kira sobbed. "H-he took it... He stepped infront of me he... He fell and I heard his thoughts... So much happened I... I ran."
An easy bending of the truth. A lot did happen and kira did run. It wasnt a lie but it also made it seem like she hadn't been the one to shoot the woman.
"It's alright Kira... That was a horrible thing for you to go through..." Naomasa comforted. "You're safe now... You need to breath... Take deep breaths..." He talked her through her panic and tears.
"Can you... Can you do something for me?" She asked him, wiping her eyes.
"Yes of course, anything." Naomasa nodded. "Make sure... Make sure he gets a proper burial... Please it's the least he deserves. I'll pay for it just..." She took in a deep breath.
"Of course I will. I swear." Naomasa nodded. "I'll give the kid the best damn burial possible. He took a bullet for her? It's horrible she had to watch someone who helped her so much die..."
"He... He was Her son..." Kira told him. Wiping her nose. "Momma's son... Her real name was Oshita Ren... I don't know who Zane's father was though..."
"Oshita Ren... I'll dig a little on the name later. First I'll find Zane's body, Alex might have him... I'll start there." Naomasa stood up. "Thank you for everything Kira. I have to go now... You should get some rest okay?"
Kira nodded and leaned back. "Thanks for everything Naomosa." She whispered.
He left her and Bakugou alone. Bakugou stared at her for a long time.
"Holy shit..." He muttered, Kira turned to look at him. His mouth was slightly patted as he stared. His voice barely above a whisper.
"You killed her didn't you?"
