52: 𝑃𝑒𝑛𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑙𝑒𝑠
"Fine. I accept."
Momma stopped and raised her eyebrows. Obviously caught off guard. "You... You do?" She asked, laughing and looking around.
"Sure. You're offering me anything right? How could I refuse that type of offer?" Kira asked. She was still standing up, hands chained behind her back. "I mean obviously I have a condition. I'll join you if you give me one simple thing."
"Alright then." Momma nodded. She still seemed suspicious though. "What is it?"
"I want my sneakers back." Kira said with a shrug. "That's it."
They glanced around. None of them knew what the fuck she was talking about.
"I'm sorry? Your... Sneakers?" Toga asked, tilting her head.
"Yep. I want my limited edition child's size hello kitty sneakers back." Kira said with a completely straight face. "I was wearing them when I was kidnapped. The first time around."
"Kira sweetie... Those things are gone. They were probably burned-"
"THEN FUCK YOU AND FUCK THE LIBERATION ARMY!!!" Kira suddenly screamed. "If you think for ONE SECOND you can replace what you took from me. That you can make me forget about how you ruined my ENTIRE CHILDHOOD... Then you are so fucking delusional it's almost laughable."
"Now there's no need for such vulgar language Kira-" Momma raised her eyebrows.
"DON'T TALK TO ME LIKE IM A CHILD!!!" Kira screamed, taking in a breath. "I haven't been a kid since the moment I was snatched from that doctor's office. I haven't been a kid since I was seven. Because you can't be a kid and be terrified of everything. You can't be a kid and be taking care of yourself. NO KID SHOULD HAVE TO GO THOUGH WHAT I DID."
She laughed. "I meant it when I said we were alike spinner." She looked up at the lizard man who was staring at him in shock and confusion. "I can see it all over your face, feel it in your mind."
"What-" He started to protest. But there was a look in her eye that made him stop. He recognized it... As his own.
"We're both broken. We were destroyed by the world you and me. The difference?" She smiled. "You were given a cause by stain, then Shigaraki. Something to live for because you can't live just for yourself. While I was picked up out of the ashes of my old life by the people at UA. The League is your family? Well my classmates and teachers are mine. Just like you I idolize the person who saved me. I'll follow them to hell and protect them until I can't breathe anymore. Because I need my family more than I need air."
He stared at her as she spoke out words that discribed him perfectly. Words that fit together with her own description so beautifully he almost forgot she was screaming them in their faces.
"So no. No I won't use my quirk for your good. Yes. Yes I choose death, I'd rather suffer for the ones I love them be chained to a life of servitude to you." Kira said. Looking at momma. Suddenly it became clear what she needed to do.
Now. While they were all frozen in shock by her words. Now while Toga was leaning over the table holding a needle. Now while Momma set her pen down.
Now while Zane stood perfectly frozen in the door.
"So forgive me. But I'll remain loyal to my friends. Even if it means I die by your hands." Kira said carefully. "Today."
Before anyone could react Kira jumped.
She swung her hands under her body and pulled her legs off the ground high enough that her handcuffs passed under. Switching their position from behind to infront of her.
'One....'
Kira got used to counting. She did it now so she could tell how much longer she had left.
She snatched the pen out from infront of momma and plunged it into her left eye right as she prepared to transform.
'Two...'
She darted to Toga, clearing the table and tackling her to the ground. Toga cried out in pain. Glass vials falling out of her pockets and crashing on the ground. Breaking and spilling a countless different people's blood. Kira grabbed the thick needle from her hand and stabbed her in the hip with it. Hoping she hit something Toga needed to run.
'Three...'
Dabi was up. So was spinner. A knife whizzed past her ear. It would be a second before she was set on fire. She grabbed a knife from Toga, she probably had hundreds.
Kira jumped off the floor towards her main target. Momma would recover soon, when she did she wouldn't stop her rage towards Kira for anyone. Not Toga... Not twice or Dabi. But one person...
'Four...'
Kira ran into Zane who yelped. She stood behind him and used him as a human shield. Wrapping the chain of her cuffs around his neck and pressing the knife against it as well.
'Five.'
"WAIT!" Momma yelled to Dabi as he positioned his hand towards Kira. She called to Spinner as he unsheathed his sword and Compress as he aimed a marble holding who knows what.
Zane stood perfectly still. Terrified. Kira was right when she assumed the guy couldn't fight. So dispite how much taller he was, dude didn't even think about picking a fight with Kira.
It was a stand off now. Momma wouldn't let them attack with Zane being used as a human shield. Momma had one hand up, the over holding her eye that was bleeding quickly. A pen sticking out of where her eye was. Blood covering her blouse and her hand.
"Oh my God... Oh my God... I don't know what to do, I didn't see this coming- ouch her hold is really rough. I don't blame her but really? Is she this desperate?" Zane thought, trying to look back at her.
"Walk backwards with me." Kira muttered to him. Walking towards the door behind them.
"How useless is that kid?!" Dabi thought in frustration.
Kira knew the moment she let go of Zane they'd all attack. And it's not like she could just drag him all the way outside. She stood in the door frame and glanced down the hall. It was empty of people, a fire extinguisher on the wall by the door. Down the hall was a turn to the right, the one she had been walked down. She remembered a possible exit door down that way.
Step two of her plan started to form in her mind.
She kicked Zane in the back of his knees and shoved him down into the room before slamming the door shut. That will buy her about half a second.
She grabbed the fire extinguisher. Between Togas injury, Twice's mental dilemma and Spinner's shock over her words. She guess the first people after her will be Dabi, Momma and compress. Compress would be her biggest problem, she didn't really know how his quirk worked yet. But he also didn't seem as desperate to catch her as Dabi and Momma were.
The door opened and Kira identified the thoughts of the first person. Then noticed the heat.
She blasted Dabi's face with the fire extinguisher. Covering him in cold white foam. Then she swung it and hit him over the head. She hit compress too when he came. Dabi was still conscious but a knocked out compress fell over him. Temporarily trapping him.
Momma roared and burst out the door, Kira hit the ape-like creature in the head as hard as she could and then shoved the fire extinguisher in her mouth. Turning it on blasting the chemical foam down her throat.
That should buy her a little more time.
She bolted, holding the knife tightly. Running down the hall. She turned sharply and ran farther. She couldn't hear anyone too close behind her. She saw another turn with natural light pouring out from it. A door.
Was she actually going to pull this off?
She hadn't expected to get away from the entire League that quickly. She turned the corner right as she saw the door to the outside open and close.
Another person. Shit.
She stopped in the mouth of the final hallway. One person standing between her and the door to the outside. A tall familiar man looking at her in pure utter shock, squeezing his Caprisun as he stared in confusion.
Hawks.
