"So, would you say I represented 1A well?" Kira asked, nudging Denki with her elbow. She was back in her school uniform, plus a hoodie under the blazer to pull up around her head when she got nervous around the people.
Who were all talking about the fight, of course.
"Yep." Denki nodded. "I mean, now everyone knows for sure that we're crazy."
"Mission accomplished." Kira nodded, high-fiving him.
"So why'd you do it?! What even happened up there?!" Mina asked, shaking Kira around. She had caught up with them at a food stand set up by a few second years. Her and Bakugou had walked around playing games and stuff. He was kinda disappointed when Kira mingled with the whole group, but got over it when Kirishima walked over and started to talk with him.
"Uhh cus she's crazy." Kira said. "She kept trying to sabotage me and Kendo. By taking our stuff and messing with our costumes." Kira explained. "I had enough so I told her to cut it out, that's when things got ugly."
"Just you and Kendo? What about that other girl? What was her name..." Sero frowned thinking.
"I wasn't much of a competitor."
Sero jumped and nearly shit himself when Tammy Tanaka appeared right behind him. Denki shrieked and grabbed Kira's arm for protection.
Tammy stood with a blank face. "Sorry." She stated when seeing their surprise. "But Emi Didn't see me as a threat like she did you." She continued, nodding at Kira.
"Oh... Why not? You did great." Kira said with a nervous smile. She didn't get anything off of Tammy in the slightest. Like she wasn't there, wasn't real. Or like she was dead. Kira had never encountered someone that was completely undetectable before. She wasn't quite fond of it either.
"Because people are uncomfortable around me." Tammy shrugged and put her hands in her pockets.
"N-"
"Don't object, I know who I am. I don't mind it." Tammy shrugged. "I was nominated as a joke."
"You don't know that." Mina said with a sweet smile.
"No I do, they told me." Tammy said, as unreadble as ever. She was blunt, and literally didn't care about what people thought. "I wanted to talk to you." She said, staring at Kira.
"Me?" Kira asked, pointing at herself.
"Yep." Tammy nodded.
"Oh um.. alright then." Kira said, glancing around. Her friends seemed to be just as uneasy about this. But Tammy had to be harmless...
Right?

Kira followed her to a picnic area. Standing by a tree. "So..." She asked awkwardly. Not knowing what to say.
"Your parents are proud of you Kira."
Tammy stated, turning to look at her. She had been staring at the sunset, but now she looked at Kira with a blank stare.
A icy chill ran down Kira's spin. Tickling her skin until the hairs of her neck raised in alarm. "I-I'm sorry?" Kira choked out.
Out of everything Tammy could have said to her, this was the most unexpected.
"My parents are-"
"Dead." Tammy nodded. "Obviously. If they weren't I'd never know what they thought."
"What... What do you mean?" Kira asked, she wasn't at all relaxed. She was uneasy and scared. She didn't know what this meant.
"I don't care what people think of me. At least not what the living do. My quirk is 'corpse', I have all the qualities of a dead person." Tammy explained. She looked out at the sky again.
"So what? You see ghosts or something?" Kira asked, shaking her head. "I don't... I don't really believe in that kinda stuff."
"That doesn't matter what you believe." Tammy shrugged. "I know what's true. And no, I can't see the dead." She pushed her glasses up. "At least not often, I have to do very specific rituals to glimpse the Spirit world that vividly."
"So... What? How could you know then?" Kira asked. She wanted more. She wanted to know MORE.
"I can feel them. Sometimes at least, their lingering spirits. They're all around you, some around All Might too. If someone touches your heart and soul in life they remain with you even after death." She explained as though that was completely normal.
"I feel their happiness, their pride."
"So what? They're... Watching me?" Kira asked. Looking around like they would just appear. She couldn't help but think about her parents watching as she and Bakugou made out in a stairwell. She didn't love the idea.
"Yes and no. They don't see and hear like the living do. It's complicated." Tammy took her glasses off to clean them. "I don't really have time to explain. I just thought you should know."
"Well... Thanks." Kira whispered, chewing her nails again. The polish on he thumb was almost gone.
"I know your quirk too. At least I think I do. I'm good at that kinda stuff, seeing your aura. I'm basically Psychic." Tammy added.
"Wow." Kira coughed. "Thanks for not blabbing I guess. Though it's not all that secret anymore."
"Right." Tammy stared at her. Kira wondered about something but wasn't sure whether she should ask or not.
"You can ask."
Kira chuckled. "Right... Why can't I read you?" She was starting to realize this is what it felt like for other people to talk to her. Speaking with someone who knew everything about you, but you couldn't even peek into them.
She felt bad for normal people.
"You can't read the dead." Tammy shrugged. "And I died three years ago."
"Sheesh." Kira sighed. "I'm... Sorry For your... loss?" She asked. How was she supposed to respond to that?!
"Don't be. The day I died I gained everything. My quirk had been hidden before that. Turns out suicide isn't all that bad sometimes." She shrugged and Kira coughed.
"Damn." She mumbled. "That's... How am I supposed to respond to that?" She asked out loud.
"You don't have to. Most people don't make it this far, so good job." Tammy nodded at Kira.
"So... Why UA? I don't think you want to be a hero... Do you?" Kira asked.
"Nope. I'm gonna be an officer. A detective, homicide division." Tammy said. She wasn't talking like she hoped for it... She spoke like she knew without a doubt that it would happen.
"Makes sense. Your quirk will definitely be useful." Kira nodded. "Let's hope we get to work together in the future."
Tammy looked over. "...right." she said. "You're one of the good ones. Normally I only like the dead, or crows. I see why Shinso likes you."
Kira blinked a few times. "Shinsou... From the sports festival?" She asked, frowning.
"So you remember him? Huh. I'll tell him that." The girl nodded. "But stay back. He's mine."
"Wow... Okay." Kira put her hands up. "Go for it girl, I've only met him once."
"You will again. He's going to be in the hero course. I know it." Tammy crossed her arms in determination. "He'll be top of UA by his third year. And I'm gonna help him."
"Wow. Sounds like your really like him huh?" Kira asked, tilting her head.
Tammy turned and for the first time ever...
She smiled.
"He's my best friend."
A/N: Tammy Tanaka
(The character is from an anime that I am unfamiliar with... Just got them off of Pinterest.)
She also has green eyes and freckles... But this was close enough.
She's just a background character but like... I fucking love her. So don't be surprised if you see her more later on...
