138: 𝐹𝑖𝑟𝑠𝑡 𝑦𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑠
Class was back in session. And had been for about a week already. But today was different.
First years were ferocious creatures.
The new students were a different breed. Because not only did they love UA and heroes. But they were all very familiar with Class 1A.
No... Class 2A.
They were now second years. Though it was actually way late for them to move up, they were months behind. It still felt insanely wrong to most of them. They were upper classmen already?? It didn't feel right.
"Deku!! I saw you on TV!! You're totally inspiring!!"
"Where's Todoroki?!"
"Is Athena in this class too?! What's her real name?"
"Is it All Might's niece!?"
"Whose that purple guy?"
There was already a crowd by the door. It was soon added too as a second year tried to rush inside.
"LET ME TAKE A SELFIE WITH YOU!!! PLLLEASE BAKUGOU!!!"
"IM YOUR BIGGEST FAN!!!"
"YOU'RE SO COOL DYNAMITE!!"
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!" Bakugou screamed, trying to force his way into his home room and slamming the door. "THAT'S NOT EVEN MY NAME!!!!"
Bakugou yelled through the door. He had never been given this much attention and it made him panicky. He knew that being a pro would bring a few crazy fans.
But he didn't think it would start so soon?!
"These new first years are nuts." Ojiro rubbed his neck nervously. "You okay man?"
"Whatever, just keep those freaks away from me." Bakugou mumbled. Plopping down with a grunt.
"Come on man, I thought you wanted to be a famous pro?" Shinsou said, leaning against his desk.
Shinsou was the newest member of class 2a. At least for now. Now that the war is over well... Things were complicated.
While Shoto Todoroki wasn't officially expelled he wasn't... Off the hook either. Despite his reasoning he still committed several huge crimes against Japan and his classmates. The police even tried to take him into custody again for further questioning. But eventually he was aided by Nezu.
The principal pulled several strings and eventually came to a deal regarding Shoto Todoroki.
He wouldn't spend any jail time.
Instead he would spend the next year doing community service across the country, rebuilding all the damage caused by the league of villains. He'd be under the watchful eye of best Jeanest.
Who loved to rehabilitate 'ruffians' like Shoto into proper members of society.
He hadn't left campus yet though, they were all going to throw him a going away party.
"Shut your mouth insomnia." Bakugou snapped. He was actually pretty glad Shinso was in his class now. He liked him a hell of a lot more than icyhot. He still hasn't forgotten what that boy did to Kira.
"Everyone please!!!" Iida stood at the doorway. "I understand that you admire him but he's a person and following him around in groups is highly inappropriate!!"
"They were running in the halls too." Bakugou snitched. Hoping Iida would yell at the little shits for breaking the rules.
"Yes thank you Bakugou." Iida nodded. "I must ask you all to follow the rules."
"But-"
"Besides he hasn't fully recovered yet. Let him rest this excitement isn't good for him." Iida added. Bakugou scoffed but didn't say anything.
"WE'RE SO SORRY!!"
"Hey excuse me-"
"I was just excited!!"
"Can I please get into my classroom-"
"I've been a fan since the sports festival..."
"Bitches-"
"Can we talk later?!-"
"BEEP! BEEP! CRIPPLE COMING THROUGH."
"Ah! My toes!"
After sitting in the hallways for several minutes. Completely blocked and ignored by the crowd of first years Tenya was lecturing Kira took initiative and yelled while wheeling through the crowd.
"Kokoa!!!" Iida cried out in shock. "You're here!!"
He shoved through the crowd. "Out of her way you delinquents!!" He yelled, clearing her path and taking the handles of her wheelchair to push her into the classroom.
"Kira!" Bakugou stood back up along with most of her classmates. Though school had been back for the second years almost a week, Kira had still been in the hospital.
She laughed. "Hi guys, did you miss me?" She asked them.
"Yes!!" Mina yelled, hugging her tightly. "You look great!!"
"She's back... Everything is getting back to normal now."
"I know her! She's All Might's niece!"
"Thank God, I was worried she was gonna stay out for weeks like last time."
"I'm a horrible person... I'm glad she's okay but... I had hoped I'd have more time before... Before someone found out..."
Kira cast a glance to the side at that last one. It was a familiar female's thought. One that ducked away when Kira made eye contact.
She'd handle that later.
"Like the cut Deku." Kira said, the boy had half his head shaved because he had injured his head. Giving him a crazy undercut.
"Thanks Kira..." Midoriya said with a small smile. She liked to think they were now completely on good terms. Thankfully he had... Accepted everything.
From his quirk being gone... To her relationship with Bakugou. He was less intense now. She liked it. Though he still had feelings for Bakugou they weren't as... Insane.
Kira stayed in her wheelchair and shoved her desk chair away. Her legs were getting better, she could now stand up and even walk small distances on her own. But it was embarrassingly exhausting to do so. According to her doctors she'd probably be just like new by the end of this semester. If she worked at it enough.
She leaned back with a sigh. Listening to Bakugou and Shinso tease each other as Iida shooed away the new students and Mina yapped to her and jirou about the preparations for Todoroki's going away party.
It took a lot. It took a literal war and ton of fighting then recovery but finally...
Things were going back to Normal.

"Alright spill."
"Ahh she caught up?! No offense but I thought since you were in wheelchair I could outrun you-"
"You could never outrun me Uraraka." Kira crossed her arms. Having the girl cornered in a hallway. They were alone.
Which Uraraka dreaded.
She had been the one to hope Kira wouldn't come back for awhile, because she knew... That Kira would find out her secret.
"Please don't tell anyone!" Uraraka squeaked. "She's harmless I swear!!"
"Tell me what happened."
"You know what happened! She saved me! I couldn't just leave her!"
"Uraraka you're harboring a wanted criminal in your basement and feeding her your blood. That's serious." Kira sighed, rubbing her eyes.
"I know it is! But she's a good person I know it! She just needed someone to give her a chance! To accept her!" Uraraka ranted. "It's so sad how she was treated. She's safe now and she's not hurting anymore!"
"Plus she's super cute and has a pretty smile that makes my heart beat really fast."
"Hey listen calm down... I'm not going to tell anyone." Kira admitted.
Uraraka paused. "Y-you're not?"
"No..." Kira shook her head. "I get it. I mean I was the one who got Todoroki out of jail remember? I understand where you're coming from."
"Thank you!" Uraraka said, throwing her arms around Kira and hugging her tightly.
"I'm sorry for dreading you coming back to UA!! You're such a good friend!! I was just worried!!"
"Now hold on... I'm not done yet." Kira pat her on the back. Uraraka pulled away
"Sorry." She mumbled.
"I want you to be careful okay? I don't know Toga as well as you do... If I ever have reason to believe she's going to hurt you or anyone else I'll have to tell someone. Okay?" Kira said seriously.
"Yes! I promise!" Uraraka nodded. "You don't have to worry! We're fine!"
"And be careful with that blood sharing stuff." Kira warned. "Don't give her too much, and make sure you're doing everything in a safe and clean way."
"Of course!" Uraraka nodded. This time she was blushing. "Toga's like an expert with that stuff... She always knows how much to take without hurting me."
"Okay... We'll have fun with your vampire girlfriend." Kira sighed, rolling her chair away. "And tell her... Tell her Shigaraki passed on a message. That he faught to destroy until the end."
Uraraka nodded slowly. "Oh... Okay... I will... Kira?"
"Hm?" Kira glanced back. Uraraka had small tears in her eyes.
"Thanks... For everything... You really are a hero."
